Hard to know market next 1-3 months always. But not that hards. The big Tech execs having been dumping like crazy (they do usually have the insider knowledge), yield curve inversion for longest amount of time ever, inflation is not going away it hasn't been beaten, their is a lot of lying in the economic numbers (consumer not so strong, loads of part time workers, loads of economic inactivity not fit for work). Recession no matter what, whether The Fed lets inflation fly as it has been doing, or they raise rates properly aggressively (not done that yet) to show inflation who is in the driving seat.
Come on man, what insight can he give other than his “we will crash, but market says get in so I’m in. but I won’t tell you how I do it”. He says this every month.
He plays the charts. He wrote a good book on reinvesting which worked for me. I lost a bundle last year on fear and realized u can’t be fearful of an event that happens every 10-20 years. As much as u know the economy is garbage u need to play the charts not the economy.

All he does is invest in broad market indexes and follow trends. He doesn't need to be "right" about anything. He's long in a bull trend and short in a bear trend; he distinguishes them through his technical analysis.
In short, the value of the S&P is double that of the M2 money supply. Only once in the last 40 years did that happen. March of 2000. In March of 2000 the S&P has a market cap of $10T and the M2 was $5T. Today S&P is $43T and M2 is $22T. For more perspective. In normal valuations the relationship to M2 is generally between .9 and 1.3. This is going to end very badly for some. I don't know when, but the valuation is hugely stretched to the money supply.
He didn't really answer the question about why the markets "climb a wall of worry". As David suggested in his question, it seems illogical. The answer lies in the fact that the market mostly only really moves when the big (deep pocketed) players initiate by buying or selling in high volumes. These institutions are generally not worrying as much as the small investors (who are the ones actually experiencing the wall of worry) as these large players can control market direction to some degree. These institutions/banks can also see the positioning of all the small traders, how vulnerable they are to margin calls etc. and know that many will be reluctant to take a loss and will hold on until they are forced to sell. Therefore, the big institutions can see that many small traders will have positioned for a fall when the market is overvalued, but know that they can make excess profits by forcing the market up even higher when it's already overvalued, (they'll know in advance how much upward stress they need to put on to trigger multiple margin calls that force individuals to buy back their short bets), forcing the market higher still. They can then sell at the top that they've created. The whole thing is a nefarious construct where the institutions have a systemic advantage over everyone else. That is how the wall of worry works.
How can he be so confident in his projections before we even have the bulk of Q1 Earnings, the few we have had have had a hard time even with good earnings bc of the lack of guidance for Q2, we have GDP CPI and other data this week. Bonds are out of control, so many variables. I went back and looked at the Nov 23 Dot Plot and one of them (probably Goolsbee) had us at 3% by the end of FY24, they have no idea what they are doing. I wish I was as confident as he is with his projections, I can deal with the short losses and still be happy with a hedged portfolio to commodities. After I see concurrent movement from the FED I'll be more bullish.

I feel that the last bull run was bolstered by all the money being printed. Major returns next bull run but I think they will be tamer in my humble opinion. A 10x on AMSGTTM is and a 15x on polygon are fair considering how much those two coins are interwoven into the entire crypto ecosystem

It will take some time to understand how Amazons AMSGTTM is having the most impact in these times. After all the downswings and failures of last year it's about time that someone integrates assets into a useful scenario and that's exactly happening with this asset right now. The longer the rates stay, the more readily the economy slows. The question is one of pace. Companies will cut as demand softens. Powell will have a tough time landing this plane. At least he doesn’t work at Boeing. 😅
