I think a girls day out with Allie and Jennifer would be ideal she really deserves a day of fun 100% rock star hands on Aunt/Sitter. She really does a lot to help him learn and the kindness shows all the time with her happy smile interacting with everyone. I must say that is beautiful ductwork. I love to see people like Dean who are masters at what they do. Leo is an example of a child that has people who engage with him and don't spend all their time on a cell phones. he is so lucky to have a great aunt and parents.

Ohw lordy. I just totalled our car yesterday due to a weird hail anomaly. My only thought was, not in another car not another car. Miraculously 7 cars were in the same situation and no cars hit wachother. Only the side rail😊. Stay safe❤

Allie, I just went to the doctor yesterday, because I have been suffering something awful with sciatica. I was put on a steroid. This morning was my first dose, and this is the first day in 3 months I have had no pain.
Not sure if you can take a steroid during pregnancy, but what a relief!
This evening we leave for our seasonal camping. So thankful that right now no pain.
I wish you all the best with your cream that you tried. I do understand how painful that is.

I’m pretty sure she can’t take steroids while pregnant, it raises blood sugar. I agree, they do help with pain. Before I go on vacation, I call the doctor for a 10 day supply.

I've been watching your videos for a while now and still am amazed by how much snow you get there. Here I am in lil ole RI complaining about 50 degrees and windy. We have had a lot of rain but very little snow the past two winters, which is fine with me. So great to see your addition coming along. You all work like a well oiled machine 😊

Leo...his antics during your stretching exercises gave me a good laugh! I wonder if Dean misses van life. I find the transition for all of you so interesting. He's now a working man. You all have your refrigerator door full of photos and notes, the Christmas wreath still on the door and another son on the way. Just like every other normal household. Life is a series of stages. Each holds different kinds of challenges and joys. So fun to watch you in this stage of life!

I would recommend going to a chiropractor, as an adjustment will help tremendously.
I'v3e been watching a vlog of a couple that live in New England and Al the farmer just got a power washer to clean overspray on the shop building floor. Anyhow, he also tried out with a quick wash of hos side by side exterior. Worked really well. So now I'm thinking that eventually you'll want to clean off your trucks and equipment from all of the mud and winter grime. Next time you all are in town, maybe a future purchase of a power washer could be on the buy list.

You are All doing Great! Every time I see the snow buildup at your french doors, I think you need (eventually) a shutter (s) to protect the doors and insulate. Think overhead sliding=rolling on overhead (under eave) track. Twinwall polycarbonate panels on alum frame.

You should use a couple of magnets one on each side with a metal plate to hold your trap door closed

I got the Circle K remark. EXCELLENT!
All penetrations thru wall plates (wires, pipes, etc.) need to have the red/orange spray foam filling any gaps. That is what some call fire-blocking spray. Check that all wire and pipe crossing studs have the anti-screw plates hammered in. Take a crapload of photos so you can refer back later after drywall goes in for what is where...
Oh Allie, the sciatic pain is the worst! I hope that you are able to get relief from the salve.
Snow removal:
Move snow away from additions ground-floor walk-in so you can drive trucks to off load drywall.
Removing of snow also reduces the amount of spring flooding in the rear of your building.
Do you have gutters and drains to get water away from rear of building?
The shadows of the trees on the snow as you are driving by are SOoooo beautiful.. That's one good thing about sun on a snow covered day.
Strut facts: they will get stronger when they get warmer.
Enjoying the progress and the weather appearing to change to spring (till when?). Starting insulating - but where is the finish, and ready to start drywalling - but where is the finish, and so on. But at least there was time for some enjoyment and relaxation even though it was only 1 or 5 minutes, just to re-energize! Keep up the spirit yet there is so much more work to do on the whole place. But sooner OR later there will be the END! O, what a day that will be! Oh, wait - there is still that red thing to work on, hidden somewhere behind the what you may call it!

good to see the insulation going in, Leo is learning a lot and fast. it is surprising how we learn to know what he is saying even if other people don't know what he is saying, Dean has done a great job and he deserves a big box of Doughnuts, it was funny to see Leo trying to do the same exersizes as Allie.
The trap door-It’s done now but if ever you have to do it again try having it open width way. The struts don’t have to work so hard if the span is shorter. So it would open sideways. I hope I explained that well enough to understand

We were up in Lake Placid a week ago (April 6th) and it was covered in snow ❄️. It looked like a winter 🥶 wonderland.
I keep looking at the amount of snow at the back of the garage, and I all I think is that to get into the Casitas year round, you're going to have to build an enclosed staircase.
An entrance from the garage would have been helpful!

I had sciatica so bad with my first that I went to a chiropractor, once week, with all my other 3 pregnancy. I had the easiest delivery with them and I believe it was the adjustments every Friday.
I had a ruptured disc, pressing on sciatica nerve. It got worse by the week, Drs told me to lay flat on my back for 6 weeks, Neuro Surgeon said it has to be removed because its like putting toothpaste back in a tube. I was dragging my leg. He said 80% paralyzed without the surgery. The surgery was cut and dry. It was cured

I have had sciatica pain for years on and off, it started when I was pregnant with my son 26years ago! And sometimes I can NOT even get out of bed!! I literally have to roll out of bed onto my knees and then try to get up from there which believe it or not is easier than trying to get out of bed like normal!!Also try Tiger balm it really helps! I hope you find something that helps you through this!! Love you all and I am loving watching the addition take shape!! God Bless you all!
Allie, I had an sciatica episode back the end of September where I could not walk, or stand could not put any pressure on my left leg at all but was fine sitting. I was at work at the time and I was afraid I couldn't drive home.

ALLIE - CASTOR OIL WORKS TOO. I forgot. Its wonderful. Wear old clothes. I use hexane free organic. Use on any arthritic joints as well, hips, shoulder.
Allie, SYNC. I have sacroiliac pain with sciatica secondary to multiple old spine and hip injuries. Excruciating pain: scale 8 to 9 upon movement. My doc suggested a sacroiliac support belt. The elastic pulls the sacroiliac joint together. It helps some. Wishing you a healthy birth!

I used to get terrible sciatica when I was a waitress and new shoes were always a great help. Ugly Orthopaedic ones. It was about alignment.
