A bit of a style change since this video! A very useful one given that I've just ordered this kit and wanted to get some idea of how it goes together, excellent result and I'm looking forward to the build in the new year.
Great build! Well done. I'm in the process of building this kit. What a dream kit when it comes to engineering and fit quality! It's a total pleasure to build it. Just an observation: Airfix calls for the intake interiors to be aluminium, not black. Oh, and I DID forget those two slats in the intakes! Luckily they should go in afterwards. I did a lot of research and puzzling about the colour for the underside, as the colour Airfix suggests is too grainy silver, so I have decided to use Xtreme Metal Polished Aluminium. A satin varnish will dull it down perfectly.
thank you very much!! i could not agree more, this kit was a dream to snap together and i remember being very impressed that this was an airfix kit! thanks for letting me know about the silver intakes… need to do more reference image research in the future it seems!! and that sounds ace!! wishing you the best of luck for the rest of the build!! :)
Just new to your channel, really enjoyed all aspects of the build and your informative commentary. Great job given this is your first video and you've only been building models for a short period of time (as I read in your 'about'). I've a lot to catch up on your channel so I'm smiling!!
Haha hopefully you don't get too sick of my voice, I always find myself coming back to these first couple of videos to see how I have altered my modelling and video-making approach over the past year or so now... enjoy all the content and thank you for the support!!
I like how your videos are "to the point" and lack tedium. However the background piano music and volume of it seems a poor choice to me. I will continue to watch your vids though...great subject matter.

Haha you can say that again… come a long way!

thank you very much!! glad you enjoyed it and i look forward to seeing your kit :)
Nice build, like it 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Another great build on one of my favourite British aircraft, I have the Lightning to finish, but what grey did you use? Again a great finish.
thank you very much! I also love the sleekness of the hunter, i believe i used ammo mig dark ocean grey!
Nice build young man 😊 just a note for your next Hunter build, the rear of the canopy is unpainted on the Hunter and remains clear.
Oh wow! Thank you very much for the tip I had no clue!🤣✌🏼
What air pressure are you using in your airbrush please
I think it was 20 psi but I recommend 14🤙🏻
@@machmodels thanks please. I will try both settings
Wow you’ve built many models in only 4 months
haha yes i have been a bit of a speedy builder at the moment!
@@machmodels I’m still working on a model I started 3 months AGO! Edit: I’m almost finished
oh wow!!! what project would that be?

Nice video however impossible to have both ailerons pointing down unless they are mechanically detached.
Thank you! Looking back on this yes that was a bit of a silly decision from me!! Thanks for pointing it out🤣
The aileron workon opposing sides. If one is down the other must be up. They cannot be both up or down.
Thanks for letting me know! My earlier builds probably weren’t as accurate as they are now🤣🤙🏻
Watch the latest video compared to the first such a big difference
Haha I know right! It’s pretty crazy to think it was only a year and a half ago🤣😁
The aileron's are wrong...both shouldn't be down...🥴
Thanks for pointing it out! Pretty silly mistake from me🤣👍🏻
