Love watching hunters who are subsistence hunters and not only trophy hunters. Not saying anything is wrong with trophy hunting (as long as you are also doing it for Subsistence)....but it is refreshing to know folks still hunt for the cleanest / healthiest meat on the planet. Our family treasures our wild game for filling the freezer, if we are lucky enough to harvest a nice buck / bull,...that is the icing on the cake. Congrats to both of you!! It's also refreshing to see couples spending time in the outdoors together.
@@rebel1988yota thank you so much for the kind words!! We love our outdoor adventures!!! They keep us sane and happy!! One day I would love to take down a big buck but as a beginner hunter I am happy with a nice fat doe😁. Most hunting videos are focused on getting the biggest animal (and like you said no shame in that) but for us this is real life so that’s what we show! Thanks for watching and subscribing!!! Cheers!
So glad you enjoyed the video, and we very much appreciate your hunting ethic. Like you, Dena and I hunt to feed our families. Hoping you and yours a happy and healthy 2025!
It amazes me fwp still gave out any MD doe tags this year, its honestly so disappointing. They had to ban the ability to use your general tag on a MD doe this year because of the abysmal numbers from overselling doe and non-res tags for the past few years. Last year they sold about 70k nonres licenses when they were supposed to be limited to 14k but they found a loophole around the law, and previously they were selling 5 doe tags OTC per person to anyone who wanted it. Non residents came from neighboring states with smarter fish and game where they couldnt do this and filled pickups with whole herds of our does until now the muley hunting is a shadow of what it once was, and now units where you would see 200+ deer in a day you are lucky to see a few does and a forky. Many units are 10% of their original populations and FWP just lowers the objective to make it look like they are doing their job. Most people who live here will not shoot a mule deer doe, you look like really nice people, please consider next year sticking to WT doe tags before making videos showcasing how lovely it is to come to Montana and shoot multiple MD does, they taste much better and are much easier to find anyways. Our FWP doesnt care and wont police themselves, we have to hope that hunters will.
