I appreciate the testimony here. Not that you really need me to tell you this, but you absolutely did the right thing in contacting TPWD after shooting that buck. As Christians we've been commanded to give no offense (1Cor 10:32), be blameless (Phil 1:10), and have a good conscience towards Christ (1Tim 1:19). You can always live by those truths! Sounded like a terrific hunt. BTW, been around that area quite a bit (hadn't been there in a while though), basically south of Sheffield. If you get another opportunity to go there, the Independence Creek Preserve (if you can get into it) is impressive, like an oasis in the desert!
