    Totally agree with all points. You taught me some things I didn't know about my Ride Command. Very well done my friend. P.S. I never turn my radio up above 4 either. It is truly a premium system. Can't wait for your video dedicated exclusively to the Ride Command.

      Glad you found it useful! I will have those ride command videos soon. Thanks for watching!

    I was already convinced. I am on my second Indian. A 2014 Chieftain and a 2016 Springfield. Indian keeps improving and updating their machines. Now Harley needs to catch up. Indian has captured quite a bit of Harley's market share, and Harley sales keep declining while Indian's keep increasing. Model versus models the Indian is priced about the same as equal Harley models, but Indian has a lot of standard features that Harley doesn't offer or charges extra for. The 2019 Chieftain and Roadmaster is hard for any bike maker to equal.

      @MOTOBLADE  5 років тому +2

      Exactly why I went with an Indian instead of 2019 Harley, even though I test rode so many new Harleys. All it took was one ride on the Chieftain and I was sold instantly.

    I’m wanting to add the Cheiftain Dark Horse in white to my HD Breakout 17 model denim white. I know different rides completely but love the idea of good change and choosing classic bikes at their best and change of great designs and getting those that then become great classics and good investments👍🏼 ride safe all🇦🇺🇦🇺

    I totally agree, that is "The" Bike. The thing is, here in europe i will buy 5 Kawa. 650vulcan s for the price of that Indian!!! Also there is only 2 dealers in the whole country, and that makes maintainence complicated..... So unless i win the Lottery i'm gonna stick to my Vulcan 😥. But i like your videos, glad for you, ride safe and enjoy it !! Greetings from Portugal.💀✌️

    Excellent review! Very informative without all the hype and ego I've seen on other reviews for both Harley and Indian. I happen to love chrome for the way it looks today and after several years. The blacked-out bikes I've owned in the past became dull and boring after a few years. Not crazy about the longer wheelbase requiring more space for u-turns than my Harleys, but it's not a deal breaker. Love the versatility, visibility, and ease of use of the cinemascopic screen! My budget at this time (10/02/23) requires I buy a pre-owned bike, and Chieftans and Springfields tend to be about $1000 more than comparable Harleys. Hoping our nation's economy perks up after the 2024 election, as it will give me more confidence that I won't regret buying my next big toy.

      I’m hoping for a lot of good things in 2024. We can’t take much more of this crap!
      I filmed this video in 2018 after I bought the bike. I’ve owned this bike now for 5 years and I still love it. I have newer more up-to-date review videos on my channel that may help you out more if you’re interested in buying one. Best bike I’ve ever owned. Won’t trade it for any other bike.

    I like the front fairing on this better than the new more Street Glide like one. I bet this shape is more aerodynamic also.

    • @MOTOBLADE
      @MOTOBLADE  5 років тому +2

      Agreed. That's why I went with this model over the 2019, I like the look and feel of the 2018 better.

    Thank u for this video, I am currently riding a Victory Highball and I think u just convinced me to buy this Chieftain. Dark horse Chieftain has all the features i need for a long ride. Over here in AZ not just the heat but the wind kills out here. And with my Victory with no fairing or windshield not very fun riding on the highways.

      Glad I could help! I did an update review after having it for 3 years. I'm almost 5 years in and still no interest in upgrading. Rode it 4000 miles round trip to sturgis last year. Incredible bike!

    You can turn down the Nav voice yourself. You just need to turn down the volume while the Nav voice is talking. Best time to do this is when you first start the Nav (while stopped) and the voice is talking for an extended time. Just FYI.

    Love the bike. I also love the drone and cinematic work. Hope you have many happy and safe miles. Just got back from a 1500 + mile trip through Arkansas last week on the chief dark horse. Had a great ride, except the last day was 8 hours of rain almost all the way home. Once again, love the chieftain, but I think it may be smarter than me.

    • @MOTOBLADE
      @MOTOBLADE  5 років тому

      That rain was miserable. I got caught in it as well. I know the bike is definitely smarter than me :) Thanks for watching, ride safe brother!

    • @MOTOBLADE
      @MOTOBLADE  5 років тому

      For me the upgrade was because I want to do a lot of longer rides. This bagger is perfect for that, but the chief is awesome and I loved that bike just as much.

      MOTOBLADE I’m doing long rides and plan on travelling a few thousand kms to see my brother. Just look forward to doing the trips I’ve planned. I did a training exercise with my community patrollers with police the other night and rode the bike on a sports ground without a helmet to get the crew to report the dangers they saw, I rode the bike through some wet grass and the bike slid sideways, I thought I was gonna lose it, but it was just so balanced and because I had been practicing counter steering on it I was able to ride through the danger zone lol. Just love the bike. Your ride is also sweet too.

    Good review but and I say a but.
    I will suggest when next time you doing a full bike review, it best to be stationary. This way when you are talking about a part of the bike you can show us what you are referring to. Like seats, engine and so on.
    Just an advice.
    Good job by the way and nice bike.

    • @MOTOBLADE
      @MOTOBLADE  5 років тому +1

      I love the bike, but it is very large and very heavy- I do not think I would recommend for beginners unless you are VERY comfortable handling a larger heavier bike.

    I am generally not an Indian fan and really dislike their styling. With that....I would buy this bike. The bike looks great and doesn't have the front fender that annoys me!!!

      I owned 3 Harleys before I decided to buy Indian Chieftain Dark Horse 2019. I cannot tell you how much I enjoy this bike. Its awesome bike out of the box. This is the first bike I own I feel I can ride it as it is. Powerful, sound good, very comfortable seating position and great in cornering

    Is there an option to shut the screen completely off? Possibly leave the music playing but black out the screen entirely.

      Yes. Press and hold screen power button. Screen will turn off but you still have music selection and volume control.

    The closest Indian dealership is about two hours away from me. Would you think it would be ok to ride back home for that long at highway speeds on a brand new bike? There is two harley dealerships super close, ones about 25 minutes, and the other a little less than an hour. i can get a damn good deal on a new 2019 Chieftan. Only thing holding me back is that distance, and i dont want to break in that motor badly.

    • @MOTOBLADE
      @MOTOBLADE  5 років тому +1

      It will be absolutely fine. If you want. Just make a long day of it and take some back roads. But Indian break-in is fine with higher speeds. I learned all this later.

    • @kittycorner8526
      @kittycorner8526 10 місяців тому +1

      You might consider having the new bike professionally delivered to your home, allowing you to break it in gradually. Worth the cost, IMO.
