@@davidmorphy6854 Well what you actually want is Rolling Stones Live at The MAX, there's a 720p rip of it here on UA-cam which is better than nothing and certainly better than aged VHS copy but other than that its generally hard to find. And expensive
This was one of the best Stones tours ever the Steel Wheels so hot never get tired of remembering such good presemtations Guns n Roses opened for them God Im old!!! But happy with what you have given me yes!!!
You're making me so jealous because I would love to go to win the concerts oh yes I would oh yes I would and maybe one day I will you never know you never know just like the song says you never know you get it in your own if I don't I don't don't they don't that anyway I love him
Saw this show in Ames Iowa. Only tour they played 10,000 light years, she comes in color, paint it black in same set. I can close my eyes and see the liquid oil psychedelic lught show. Bobby Keys on sax, full horn section, full strings. Biggest stage ever set up. God what a day. So greatfull i was there. Its in the top 3 with The Who and Paul McCartney for stadium shows. Saw them all in 89-90. Alos of note they had just figured out the supersized screens on the sides of stage. Who could ever forget Mick on the cherry picker on Sympathy??? Oh and my 6 compadres and myself tripping fucking balls! Thanks for the show! Crystal clear after all these years....❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I was at this show and it was my first time seeing them. I remember being somewhere around the 50 yard line when Clapton walked out and some girl in front of me said “who’s that?” To which I replied “oh he’s the guy in those beer commercials”😂 (at the time “After Midnight” was being being used in Miller beer commercials)
I was there and I forgot Eric Clapton was too. I remember it well skipped. Guns N’ Roses got a ticket on the freeway with open containers and just bought more. LA may be my last time I saw them twice. At Sofi. They still are incredible.
Fun fact, really the beginning of the end for GnR. I went to 2 of the 4 shows and driving up from San Diego for night 1, we werent sure if GnR would even show as Axl and Slash were in a major fight. I think I went to night 3, and when Axl decided to get off the stage and run around the whole Coliseum track he basically got tackled by a guard as they thought he was a fan trying to rush the stage.
Saw them back to back to back at the small outdoor venue Alpine Valley in Wisconsin. This is a great representation of the Steel Wheels tour. Thanks for posting. Much appreciated.
I was 22 at the one held on Oct. 22nd that makes the date easy to remember. The next day, went to the Greek Theater to see Steve Nicks. I remember thinking how could the Stones follow Living Color / GnR and keep up the pace. Nope! They did not keep up the pace, they took it to the next level and beyond! Singing "Ooo, who, who" with ~80k others during "Sympathy for the Devil" I will never forget.
I have to give the edge to Guns! They were awesome. No frills or extra enhancements. Just them in their "ragged company" (Stones line) Axl was better than Mick that night!
I was there! They played 2 nights, I saw the second one! Living Color and Guns n Roses played ahead of them! This is a great video of it with the added graphics and inserts and all!
This was the Steel Wheels tour. I remember a co-worker had good seat. Scalpers were only charging $150 for a good seat. One week before the show my co-worker's friend lost the tickets.
I wonder how many dates EC played with the Stones on this tour. He does Little Red Rooster on the Flashpoint album too, which I think was done in Atlantic City.
Well, as long as the music was loud enough, and you weren’t listening to no cops, I say hell yeah you dancing that street you take that Dipsy doodle high traffic can’t Kiss your sweet ass.… Keep dancing my friend
I think it was the second night. Guns n Roses had a big internal fight the first night and Slash came out to start the show right at the mic' with his guitar blaring! It was awesome!
I was there with my Step Daughter! What a fantastic show it was!
I was there in 1989 as a 21 year old college student.
It was a very good day! Living Colour and Guns N Roses were great too
G n R had a bad night
@@patrickalloyssius9138 that was my first concert experience so I would say they came in a close second to stones that night
I was at this concert…AMAZING
The greatest tragedy in all of human history is the fact that when music was at its best, video recording was at its worst.
Atlantic City Steel Wheels Very good concert.
@@gerrygreene6354 I was at this one here in LA. It was up there in regards to some of my best concerts. I'm glad I saw them when I did.
This show was filmed in Imax - on UA-cam prestige images, look for steel wheels start me up

Best all around tour they ever did, imo

Saw this show in Tokyo Dome ‘90. Still have the TShirt…. One if the shows is on UA-cam. They’ve definitely been road warriors…

¡Tremendo concierto! Lo que luego fue la selección para Flashpoint.
Caught this show at RFK Stadium in DC. Cold rainy Monday night but what an incredible show!

Best Rock Band Ever
I always thought the Steel Wheels stage was the best stage the Stones ever designed.

They actually played four nights at the Coliseum.

O Keith.... não faz solos apitando. Mas sua guitarra equivale a três. Grande guitarra.
That was Steel Wheels tour. They haven’t tour for a long time.
interesting that the earlier shows did not feature the inflatable dolls and dogs

Wtf is wrong with Micks hair! 🤷♂️😷
Only tour he looked like a gym teacher.
Mike, too clever to use coca on stage, Better something else ", "something that the doctor order". Keith? Same pasta !!
Ok I forgot!

I hate seeing Bill in these shows starting at chicks (likely underage) in the audience while he was "dating" (r-ing) a 13 year old. Gross.
the worst tour, the worst performance! it got much better in the 90s and 00's
