    For number 2, I kind of really like that lay out so far! And to fix your issue with the front cockpit idk if this will work, but maybe have a small like 1.5 block high room that is like 3 wide underneath the center turret, and the entrance to it could be a glass hallway that leads back to the main body where if you want to, you can add another cockpit for easy access when not in combat or whatnot.
    I hope I explained that clearly. lol

    I really like the shaping of the first one. (The one with the big positron cannon sided with the plasma cannons.) Like you said, it's a bit kriel. Like always you still the master! Continue your good work! You're the best!

    J you can absolutely have a bridge in the front. Ente has already done this on a couple RE2 combat builds. I have a combat SV with a cockpit on the front and I've had no issues. The trick is to not have anything the enemy AI will target near the bridge. It's also a good idea to tuck the bridge in a few blocks and surround it with some sort of spaced armour.
    I like option 2 of the new ship hulls.

    If you look from the front, attach the right module in front to the main one, and copy the one that looks like “Manta” and make two, connect it to the main one on the consoles on the left and right in the back. You can do it!

    The second combat cv with all the turrets looks like it will be an interesting ship, could be something there to expand upon.

    That first combat one with the positron could work if you use that section that you built as a bridge/tower on top/towards the rear and have the rest of the ship under and more forward. The heavy fixed weapons are so expensive and take so much cpu that it would suck to loose them in a fight. Its really important to play in survival with these new parts to get a feel for what happens in combat. Its so much different than RE1. Mostly because of the shield penetration, you really can not put anything up front of the ship that you don't want to loose. You almost need to have a decoy buried in the hull surrounded by armor. Also I wouldn't use more than one type of fixed weapon because of the limited cpu, for me it just doesn't make sense to basically waste cpu on weapons you don't use all the time. Really read the stats on them and compare the different variants of the same type (light, medium, heavy).
    IMO having fixed weapons for hull/device damage and use turrets for shield damage. The laser weapons do decent block damage and device damage but the cannon and railguns do really good block damage. Plasma is like a do all and is good if you want to conserve CPU usage.

    I've yet to tackle a proper combat dedicated CV.
    Most of my stuff is a broadsiding style. (Only half the weapons have line-of-site at one given moment)
    A lot of the efficient designs are direct-fire rather than broadside. That way you can have a nose take all the damage and have all the value weapons and cockpit placed further back.
    Funnily Empyrion has made me a harsh critic of "combat" vehicles in Sci-Fi shows.
    I'm shouting "why would you put that there? That's first to go in a battle" 😂

    The terminology for turrets positioned over/ on top of other guns is Superfiring.

    I've had a lot of good fights with combat CV in a nose mounted bridge. ArtemisRouge made several.
    Imagine the Makar, but instead of a hangar on the left, there is sort of a weapons platform with super firing turrets above and below. If you dodge right, many of the enemy shots should pass to the left side. Not shaped the same as the Makar, just and easy example.
    None of the 3 call to me.

    I like number 1 but could you implement number 2 turret framework as wings to the first one, would lighten the ship some also i imagine having the framework setup

    I like 2 because it uses gun platforms, without making a wedge shape.
