    Hong Bak is sand ginger pork stew from Penang. In Malacca, they called it Babi Pongteh.
    I love using pork knuckle to prep this stew too with plenty of potatoes. I specially love eating the cooked potatoes after 2 to 3 hours of cooking.
    Easy preps:
    1. Sometimes over the weekends, you may want to prep the paste and cook first. Cool it and pack in small containers to store in freezer, this recipe is good for that.
    2. You can also cook the whole recipe before hand a day and warm up to serve the next day, it taste even better.
    3. You can prepare the sand ginger paste, bottle them and give as gift to your friends.
