You know that is where the Piggyback TOFC loading spot used to be in the early 80's in Rocky Mount NC. My Dad used to deliver loaded trailers of mail to that place from Chocowinity NC, from the post office, to be put on the TOFC flat car's. I used to ride with Pop in the summer, and that's how I remember. After CSX formed, they stopped putting the trailer's on in Rocky Mount NC. Nash Co. RR used the building in the 90's as their main office.
I didn’t know that, thanks for the info. I worked near there in the 80’s, my uncle had a gas station nearby on church street. I couldn’t drive yet and we didn’t go by that area. I always heard the trains and wanted to see them. I wasn’t from RM… just visited.
nice vid... and it is a nice touch to any rail vid when the crew is nice... i mean wow i've seen vids where crews are just plain AWFUL... and for NO REASON either... so yea it's cool to see folks be nice for a change

I photograph this area pretty regularly and the crews are indeed friendly! Nice shots, thanks!

Hello Nancy and thanks for watching!!
Is The Second Locomotive Ex-Norfolk Southern?
It belonged to the Nash County Railroad (NCYR) before they were bought by the CLNA Railway. It is still painted in their livery.
