SubUV modules allow particles to utilize textures, in which a grid of individual "frames" is laid out. We use the power of this module to create realistic-looking pyro effects inside UE with just a few clicks! We begin by setting up our scene, and then we set up our Niagara system to bring our textures to life! This tutorial is very simple to follow and I hope you find it useful.

The job that you put explaining this is amazing, you are the best. Cheers from Argentina, im learning a lot
Thank you 🙏🏼
Does it have to be a square flipbook? I inserted a vertical texture, set the columns/rows properly in the UV settings, but the fire seems to be slowly scrolling upward.
Great tutorial!
Many Thanks 🎉 Can you start from and stop at a desired frame while the animation is on.
Great tutorial! I have only one issue and i do not understand why it s happening. So When I connect my alpha channel to the opacity node, my vfx disappears. Also, i can t see my fire after rendering a flipbook in images
Great content 👍🏼
It's amazing
Good afternoon, where can I find this fire texture?
Really cool thank you is Advance tutorials

Could you make some tutorial about water fluid like river flow rocks etc.?
Great timing. I am working on some water tutorials in UE. Stay tuned
My animation is going way too fast, how do I slow it down?
(Brazil) Wonderful
Thanks for the tutorial. I am curious to know if the plane face the camera in the reflections as well?
Does it effectively light up the surroundings, or is there a need for extra flickering lights?
Works with reflection but you need an extra light for illumination
Great tutorial! I have a small problem, my fire will play faster, do you know what is the reason?
you can change it by niagara lifetime, you can make it slow or fast.
@@bi6ve6ek6 How exatcly? I tried but It is acting wiered.
very great and useful tutorial but I have a little problem. my niagara turns black after importing into the scene! could please help me if you know how to fix this issue?
If you see it in the outliner AND it plays correctly in the editor, then try scaling it. Also it's best if you deactivate all the lights in the bg
uhh any change you give that texture for free?
Hey!! My niagra is not showing up in my render, please help, I have even tried switching off ray tracing translucency, also I'm rendering in path tracing.
Have you placed this into the level sequencer? I have a video to show the process for Niagara actors:

@@sarkamari Oh thankyou very much, actually it worked, I just had to increase engine warmup frames to 500.
So you can't do this without Embergen? Not really creating it in unreal Engine then hey? or am I missing something?
As I have already mentioned you can use other software packages to produce you flipbook. I preferred EmgerGen simply because it happened to be installed on the Machine.
The main vfx system in Unreal (Niagara) is still not production ready and this method is a valid replacement for now. This also offers far better optimisation, especially if the fx element has to be place in the background, compared to the alternative methods.
Hope it makes sense
I have to put the texture sample node through a multiply node first set to 0.01 otherwise it is totally blown out bright. why?
are you using high bit depth image? (32 bit)
didn't think so will check thanks@@sarkamari
thanks
Thank y❤u
share the flipbook please
Did you ever do a Embergen tutorial?
It’s an amazing appreciation
I sure do. Stay tuned.
