I'm a terran, and Clem is my favorite player right now, but god I couldn't stop laughing at Rogue's changeling spamming and blocking out the sun over his lurkers with overseers, he found a way to counter the human behind the screen using in game tools, simply brilliant xD
So exciting to see a new strategy. Must feel as infuriating as Clem spamming drops and sniping all the banes. Great to see rogue back. 10+ years of SC2 and still mixing things up!
wooh! this is the answer at the world tournament that we taught clem tvz is unstable. rouge actually stop the style clem used to fight againts serral. the psychological damage dealt by clem to serral is one thing that drown him from 3-0 to 5-0. nice game rouge you play outstanding countering clem without having a major update or nerfing terran perse.
I like to use lurkers for defense and I always spread them so one scan wont reveal them all. Have one or 2 on the path to the base to force a scan and 2 or 3 more at the base with spores and spines
I saw Catz coaching one of his team mates 10 (or more?) years ago. They were “just trying stupid stuff” as Catz was known to do. And one of the things they did was “Do mass overseer for Zerg Forcefields.” It wrecked the poor ladder opponent so hard that I’ve been wondering when we would see it in pro play ever since.

Terran Players: Zerg is broken! They can just afford to waste 50x my income, AND mine the entire map at the same time! Such BS... Zerg Players: Terran is broken! I have to mine so much more resources AND take over the entire map just to beat Terran! Such BS...
I think the only thing broken about Terran are Ghosts. No other faction has a unit that has that much versatility in both damage and difficulty to deal with ON TOP of everything else included in their army. It Literally takes only the TOP Zergs to be able to beat any Terran late game
@@theculturedgentleman3699 Terran is literally the worst race at pro levels. It's just Terran mains are on a whole other level themselves. Because Terrans get only 1 semi-broken unit, whereas the others get several actual broken units.
@@SolarisKane U cant be serious. I didnt even mention Mules...Zerg units are only conditionally good. Protoss too. They are great in one area but get shut down or countered just as easily Ghosts are the only exception

I have commented the following on Pigs videos before, but I believe there is a strategy with Protoss that no one ever uses that is somewhat similar. Have like 10 centri units or more that spam mass hallucinations. Have 5 colossi? Make it 15. Shroud your units with mass hallucinated units. I dont play protoss so I am not sure what units are available, but I think there is something there to be done with hallucination that no one has really played around with yet.
Very glad for the result because this kind of result is the only way to minimize (but not prevent) the hideous and incessant whining from a certain race - even though that race had dominated world premier tournaments for the last few years.
Clem has finally experienced how it feels to play vs something takes takes 2 clicks and requires enemy to pay attrention for 5 seconds in TvZ and not just ZvT
??? Clem has always played a knife edge style that if you arent clicking perfectly for 2 seconds you lose 20 supply. Rogue's strategy is absolutely terrible for the game, the equivalent of a Terran deciding to go mass planetary and just dropping random nukes all game. very boring
throwing in non big tournaments against a player who hasn't been in the scene for quite some time. hiding strategies. but also, if this strategy gains traction, it reminds me of the old ground based no micro swarm hosts with automatic rally points. Just keep sending changelings
I think they can beat mass lurker. Clem shreds them all the time. It was this weird changeling addition that threw him off. Lurker is just good vs. 100% aggression Terran.
If Clem was going to lose, he was going to lose to a player who was simply smarter than him. In terms of his physical mechanics, Clem is unmatched. Rogue has brains, though.
The downfall of system based analysis that takes cost-for-cost optimization as its metrics for success is if your opponent just micro better than you then you simply lose in ALL perfectly played matches, assuming both players performing consistently to their specs. Build orders and strategies won't change this so long as the framework remains the same, rule of large number will even everything out. What makes sloppy players like hero or dark absolutely beasts is because they conceptualize the game differently. It's still systematic and there's still a cost factor, but knowing whether a trade was costly for not depending on understanding what kind of game effect are they buying with that resources and how effective can they leverage the effect to a win. I also think you are being a bit salty about chat pig, because your criticism of Rogue strat based on Byun play makes no sense lol. If Byun looked solid and then cracked because he let his guard down once, then that means it only *looked* solid, like a dam withstanding an immense amount of pressure. It doesn't make a lot of sense to assume that Clem can handle it as easy as Byun did either. Sure it's intuitive to assume so but not all mechanically good players have the same micro setup, habits, attention span and attention point. Even the way they scan their monitor can make a difference. And you should know that, I'm genuinely surprised that you are surprised lol. It's like assume all the best players have the same fundamentals because they are the best.
They are allowing the loser's to get few games....Thats kind of a trend in the last 2 years I think is about better payment.... if they do more games vs each other more $ they get, this F..... the games 2 much. Its becoming really annoying to watch....
Clem looked drunk this series; probably ate too many baguettes. They will need to adjust the changling ability. Shouldn't be able to spam them unlimited like that. BROKEN!

Quite critical of Clems gameplay in game 2 however Rogue was just playing great! Rogue made Clem look human again.
Had to play like a beast otherwise Clem would have bounced back for sure, sick play by rogue
