And the boy she’s friends with says he’s the son of morgana but I’m not sure who he’s talking about. And the group of bullies are called VKs even though most of them aren’t villain kids their just villains. how does fairy god mother become Cinderella’s god mother if they’re the same age? And the main one: if the book freezes the person who opens it if they're evil, how did the Uliana even do the prank in the first place?
morgana is from the king Arthur stories, hence why they change the name for uma's aunt. the plot issues are probably gonna be answered in the movie. the hatter mention they are consequences when messing with time & uma at the end mentions this as well. red changing her mom past is gonna have consequences cause if her mom is good then she cant be the villian of wonderland & if shes not the villian then who is? it could be alice which could be a twist
Villains don’t know how to love- they’ve invested in the opposite end of expression. They do, however, lust- thus, children. Because they don’t make smart choices, so of course they won’t be careful/use protection.
With the fact that Brandy reprising her Cinderella role I wish they did not decide to give her blue hair to go with the VK feel. Her hair was her natural color in the TV Movie Cinderella. Then there is the fact that they are tying the story from that exact film to this series of movies and Cinderella definitely did not get to go to some school for magic.

@@jayx629 I think he similar to Mal and the others. Ik he looks older but we do know it's been a few years since the 3rd movie and ppl who age fast also exist. We know from the book that he was a teacher at red's high school before she was homeschooled by him and if Uma can be a principal at such a young age i believe he can be a teacher. Hope this helps❤️

Yep. Maybe in canon, Mal trained herself to be able to protect everyone better. She might not use the spell book but she is still capable of using magic. And if the Queen of Hearts knew about the VKs then what made her think that declaring war would be a good thing? Dumb decision on her part but hey, maybe she knew that reinforcements WOULDN'T show up in time. (It might have worked better if they used double agents and instead of those people reforming, they stay villains and help the queen from the inside that way she has a guarantee that nobody can help the situation at Auradon Prep)
This movie was good but still probably my least favorite just bc of the ending. Also there's a lot of things they did with the music I didn't like. The OG trilogy will always be on the top for me, i hope they improve for D5

I know it supposed to be a cliffhanger ending but I did not like the ending as just felt rushed and not complete. Aswell the villain side characters didn’t really add much to the story they were just there character. I do like the song Red and hopefully for the next movie they will have more story to it.
I think a lot of people don’t realize the plot twist. In BOTH timelines, Merlin’s ALWAYS had his spell book safeguarded, so Uliana and her friends will have always been made frozen, which stopped them from doing the prank. But because Chloe and Red were there to kind of take possession of the book, and it causing the future to be changed, we can infer that they UNKNOWINGLY stopped this mysterious person from taking the book in the short time between the future villains being frozen and Merlin arriving. We also learned that only someone “good” could actually open the book. We will probably find out who actually pranked Bridget in part 2.
I hate that the writers were so determined that they were going to do a Part 5 that the ending was just lackluster. Also, you're fine without watching that atrocious animation that calls itself the "Royal Wedding". You'd do better with the non-canon 'Descendants: Wicked World'. I also wish that Uma had lied about Mal putting her in charge. I still think that she has some hidden anger towards her for not letting her get off of the Isle of the Lost.
my theory was that someone else like prince charming or someone good got the book instead of uliana and had pulled the prank bc of jealousy out of ella picking to go with bridget instead of him but red and chloe took the book and placed it in some random place so it couldnt play out
I do think someone good ends up pulling the prank... but not sure who... maybe Jaladdin with how they behaved while adults with their resentment... though they are to into themselvse so maybe not.... who knows

i felt like if they added a twist like the vks convinced ella to open the book, then the vks play the prank and ella regrets doing it, it would've been so much better.

i remember when it was finally comfirmed about Brandys Cinderella being chads mom everyone wasnt shocked about that they were more shocked they said he was in college/got into college haha. but honestly i love how most people who saw the Brandy Cinderella version of the fairytale all just went and said Yep makes total sense chad is Both Brandy and Paolo were his parents cuz of the logistics of how Charming's Parents being a White and Black mixed couple haha love it!!
Cinderella and Charming definitely paid his way in and probably bribed him to go. There is no way Chad willingly signed up for more education without getting something.
This movie was incredible. Brandy is back as Cinderella. The new characters and songs were awesome. They even made a tribute to Cameron Boyce with his picture 🤩🤩🤩🥹🥹🥹😭😭😭

This was a fun movie. Loved seeing Brandy and Paolo back as Cinderella and Charming and I think Rita Ora as the Queen of Hearts was amazing. However Fairy Godmother, Hades and Maleficent being students the same time as Cinderella, Jasmine, Aladdin and Bridget makes no sense. Hades is a god and Maleficent is a I'm assuming centuries old fairy witch. Also the ending was too abrupt and antiimatic. However it would make sense if there's more to the story. Like how Uma hinted that it's not the end of the story and someone once pointed out that there may be a reason why Queen of Hearts dress still had some red on it instead of it being all pink and white. I'm interested in seeing a part 2 to the story if they can bring back Bridgit, Cinderella and Charming.
While I think the movie was not great, I think it was ok, but I think it really brought back the OG Disney Channel movie special vibe. It really looks the part, and it also feels like it with the whole plot. Particularly, it really feels like the original wizards of Waverly place movie. It's hard to describe why, but god they feel so similar
Why was I so ready for Disney Channel to be smart for once and give us a huge plot twist near the end that Ursula's sister wasn't the prankster and it was Ella all along, when they return to the present they realise that nothing has changed and so they go back but do wait it out and they see the truth. I also thought that Bridget was going to turn out to have a crush on Charming and so her being not only humiliated by Ella, her best friend but then ridiculed by her crush who then ends up with said ex-best friend/prankster, would have not only been the major nail in the coffin but also make the message of "love ain't it" understandable, because what was that? I mean, I guess it makes sense in the context of her trying to be nice and loving to everyone only for it to backfire, but I don't know. Anyhow, since D5 will be a continuation, I hope they can clean this up a bit.
This!!! The way The Queen of Hearts came for her, seemed like Ella had something to do with it. She even mentioned something about Prince Charming, if I remember it correctly. Ella somehow had something to do with it. You just explained it so well. Also, she has been humiliated by the VKs, so it would only make more sense if she was more deeply affected by someone who she considered her friend (aka young Ella).
I pulled up for Brandy and actually liked the movie. My only criticism is the under utilization of brandy! And Rita Ora and China, for that matter, hopefully part 2, they stop playing games and get serious. They have vocal talent on the call sheet. That soundtrack can be a straight hit.
i read the books, and i dont know how much canon it was, but it stated the villains were revived from their deaths in their original fairytales. none of them, including godmother, went to any sort of academy
I’m so happy they didn’t lean into the moment where Cinderella said to the Red Queen “even your daughter doesn’t think it’s right” or whatever- because then it would have been public humiliation and betrayal all over again. I wish we got to see them ‘fail’ a few times at identifying the true cause of her turn to the dark side, so we could see the prank itself. I think they may be hinting that because Uma’s aunt didn’t ever get her revenge she was so passionate about- maybe in this new timeline Uma has ulterior motives for her family, because she grew up hearing how they’d been wronged by these people, etc.
I’m just confused because if the book was spelled to freeze any trouble makers who tried to use and literally could not fall into the wrong hands, then how in the world did they even pull the prank on the first place???
I never understood why the book was enchanted because then this whole trip to the past was not needed. And we didn't see dance night? The entire build up was just for that 😭😭

I’m glad I’m not the only one who thought this cause I seriously thought I skipped 20 minutes of the movie by the end and I was like, wtf? 🤨 They should have let us know that the movie was going to be a two parter.
They explained the prank as the VKs were singing Revenge Uliana steals the cookbook from Merlin's office, bakes a cake, hands it to Bridget to eat it at the Castlecoming festival, then she turns into a monster and gets laughed at by everyone. But I believe Uliana's prank wasn't enough to turn Bridget into the evil Queen of Hearts it would've made more sense if Cinderella her best friend did something wrong in the past that would really hurt her and cause her to mistrust people turning her into the villain we know today. Cinderella's betrayal would justify Bridget's lust for revenge. Descendants 4 should've borrowed a leaf from Once Upon A Time it had really touching and compelling villain back stories especially Regina the Evil Queen we got to see and understand why she became bad. The writers missed the plot this should've stayed in the vault but they still wanna add another smh.
The way this movie progressed reminded me of across the spiderverse... but I guess even spiderverse left us with a better cliffhanger for the next movie

some things left out I wanna see: Uma figuring out what the kids did and having to call for back up possibly from ursula! Uma's relationship with her Aunt Uliana, Malifacent and Hades discovering that Maleficent is pregnant with Mal, possibly see them split with Uliana maybe after hades splits from Maleficent, Maleficent creating a group with Evil queen, Cruella, and Jafar, Mal and gang's adventure's at least a scene or two when they're brought back for back up! Jane working on her magic (from Wicked ways cartoon) and having that shown in the movies especially now that Fairy godmother's wand is destroyed (though with the time travel it's probabaly reversed) though I'd say the wand being destroyed would be one of the first things to go wrong to show someone messed with time (at least that's how i'd write it)... I'd want to see the kids from the 3rd movie as well and how they're doing!

The plot holes were absolutely insane. Especially the one with Chad charming and his and his sisters family. The genes don’t line up. But overall it was pretty decent but the movies ending felt like a chunk was massing like it should have not been the end.

Like for so many years, Bridget had been trying to be nice to Ulyana, but her niceness was never reciprocated, and after Uly playing a prank on her, it finally pushed her over the edge. I first watched decandests 1 when I was 21 in 2015 It really helped me in hard times because I was going through grief. This movie ruined my young adulthood the only real good thing was them bringing back the 1997 DVD movie Cinderella back and the Cameron tribute

The reason I don’t like this movie as much as the others and the reason it’s on the bottom is because it was directed by a different person and their outfits flopped unlike the other movies. Edit: aswell this movie was very very short, just by hiding a book it made her good? Realistically Uliana would’ve found another way to prank her. Also how is no one going to talk about the fact that they literally met their parents back in time so it should’ve altered time to make them know eachother and I find it hard to believe on how it was back in time but they were all wearing modern clothes. I feel like this movie just doesn’t make sense and it has a lot of missing gaps. Would’ve been a better idea to do a throwback movie of descendants on the parents of the VK’s. Seeing maleficents and Ursula’s friendship or their rivalry and also seeing how they got booted off to the isle after coming to auradon. Aswell please pick a wig for our girl Chloe. 😭😭😭 it changes every other scene and I wish we could’ve seen mal come back and fight the queen of hearts. A literal Demi-god, dragon and a witch against a girl with a stack of cards. 😂

Hmmm... So we know that Red and Chloe didn't actually stop anything from happening by stealing the book. It's just not possible. And we also know Bridget has a grudge on Ella so it has to have something more to do with Ella than we were told. But Bridget still turned nice in the end. So I'm wondering if Red and Chloe's presence changed SOMETHING - for example, maybe Bridget did end up checking the mirror to see her future. Or maybe Ella changed how she approached the situation. Something like that. Curious if another movie would expand on this, and if anything else in the future changed but maybe for the worse. Either that or the whole plot literally makes zero sense and I'm just too hopeful 😂

The hatter guy in the beginning is the son of the mad hatter. That was stated in the pre-story, the book.

And if the Queen of Hearts knew about the VKs then what made her think that declaring war would be a good thing? Dumb decision on her part but hey, maybe she knew that reinforcements WOULDN'T show up in time. (It might have worked better if they used double agents and instead of those people reforming, they stay villains and help the queen from the inside that way she has a guarantee that nobody can help the situation at Auradon Prep)
This movie was good but still probably my least favorite just bc of the ending.
Also there's a lot of things they did with the music I didn't like.
The OG trilogy will always be on the top for me, i hope they improve for D5

I heard this movie is a two parter but they didn't really announce that so watching it, it's confusing

yeahh imo this movie was literally the worst movie i have ever seen lol.
I know it supposed to be a cliffhanger ending but I did not like the ending as just felt rushed and not complete. Aswell the villain side characters didn’t really add much to the story they were just there character. I do like the song Red and hopefully for the next movie they will have more story to it.
I think a lot of people don’t realize the plot twist. In BOTH timelines, Merlin’s ALWAYS had his spell book safeguarded, so Uliana and her friends will have always been made frozen, which stopped them from doing the prank.
But because Chloe and Red were there to kind of take possession of the book, and it causing the future to be changed, we can infer that they UNKNOWINGLY stopped this mysterious person from taking the book in the short time between the future villains being frozen and Merlin arriving.
We also learned that only someone “good” could actually open the book. We will probably find out who actually pranked Bridget in part 2.
I hate that the writers were so determined that they were going to do a Part 5 that the ending was just lackluster. Also, you're fine without watching that atrocious animation that calls itself the "Royal Wedding". You'd do better with the non-canon 'Descendants: Wicked World'.
I also wish that Uma had lied about Mal putting her in charge. I still think that she has some hidden anger towards her for not letting her get off of the Isle of the Lost.
my theory was that someone else like prince charming or someone good got the book instead of uliana and had pulled the prank bc of jealousy out of ella picking to go with bridget instead of him but red and chloe took the book and placed it in some random place so it couldnt play out
i really thought ella was going to be the one to pull the prank because she was giving bridget shady looks here and there 😂
I do think someone good ends up pulling the prank... but not sure who... maybe Jaladdin with how they behaved while adults with their resentment... though they are to into themselvse so maybe not.... who knows

i remember when it was finally comfirmed about Brandys Cinderella being chads mom everyone wasnt shocked about that they were more shocked they said he was in college/got into college haha. but honestly i love how most people who saw the Brandy Cinderella version of the fairytale all just went and said Yep makes total sense chad is Both Brandy and Paolo were his parents cuz of the logistics of how Charming's Parents being a White and Black mixed couple haha love it!!

This was a fun movie. Loved seeing Brandy and Paolo back as Cinderella and Charming and I think Rita Ora as the Queen of Hearts was amazing.
However Fairy Godmother, Hades and Maleficent being students the same time as Cinderella, Jasmine, Aladdin and Bridget makes no sense. Hades is a god and Maleficent is a I'm assuming centuries old fairy witch.
Also the ending was too abrupt and antiimatic. However it would make sense if there's more to the story. Like how Uma hinted that it's not the end of the story and someone once pointed out that there may be a reason why Queen of Hearts dress still had some red on it instead of it being all pink and white. I'm interested in seeing a part 2 to the story if they can bring back Bridgit, Cinderella and Charming.
While I think the movie was not great, I think it was ok, but I think it really brought back the OG Disney Channel movie special vibe. It really looks the part, and it also feels like it with the whole plot. Particularly, it really feels like the original wizards of Waverly place movie. It's hard to describe why, but god they feel so similar
Why was I so ready for Disney Channel to be smart for once and give us a huge plot twist near the end that Ursula's sister wasn't the prankster and it was Ella all along, when they return to the present they realise that nothing has changed and so they go back but do wait it out and they see the truth. I also thought that Bridget was going to turn out to have a crush on Charming and so her being not only humiliated by Ella, her best friend but then ridiculed by her crush who then ends up with said ex-best friend/prankster, would have not only been the major nail in the coffin but also make the message of "love ain't it" understandable, because what was that? I mean, I guess it makes sense in the context of her trying to be nice and loving to everyone only for it to backfire, but I don't know. Anyhow, since D5 will be a continuation, I hope they can clean this up a bit.
This!!! The way The Queen of Hearts came for her, seemed like Ella had something to do with it. She even mentioned something about Prince Charming, if I remember it correctly. Ella somehow had something to do with it. You just explained it so well. Also, she has been humiliated by the VKs, so it would only make more sense if she was more deeply affected by someone who she considered her friend (aka young Ella).
I pulled up for Brandy and actually liked the movie. My only criticism is the under utilization of brandy! And Rita Ora and China, for that matter, hopefully part 2, they stop playing games and get serious. They have vocal talent on the call sheet. That soundtrack can be a straight hit.
i read the books, and i dont know how much canon it was, but it stated the villains were revived from their deaths in their original fairytales. none of them, including godmother, went to any sort of academy
I’m so happy they didn’t lean into the moment where Cinderella said to the Red Queen “even your daughter doesn’t think it’s right” or whatever- because then it would have been public humiliation and betrayal all over again.
I wish we got to see them ‘fail’ a few times at identifying the true cause of her turn to the dark side, so we could see the prank itself. I think they may be hinting that because Uma’s aunt didn’t ever get her revenge she was so passionate about- maybe in this new timeline Uma has ulterior motives for her family, because she grew up hearing how they’d been wronged by these people, etc.

They explained the prank as the VKs were singing Revenge Uliana steals the cookbook from Merlin's office, bakes a cake, hands it to Bridget to eat it at the Castlecoming festival, then she turns into a monster and gets laughed at by everyone. But I believe Uliana's prank wasn't enough to turn Bridget into the evil Queen of Hearts it would've made more sense if Cinderella her best friend did something wrong in the past that would really hurt her and cause her to mistrust people turning her into the villain we know today. Cinderella's betrayal would justify Bridget's lust for revenge. Descendants 4 should've borrowed a leaf from Once Upon A Time it had really touching and compelling villain back stories especially Regina the Evil Queen we got to see and understand why she became bad. The writers missed the plot this should've stayed in the vault but they still wanna add another smh.
The way this movie progressed reminded me of across the spiderverse... but I guess even spiderverse left us with a better cliffhanger for the next movie

some things left out I wanna see: Uma figuring out what the kids did and having to call for back up possibly from ursula! Uma's relationship with her Aunt Uliana, Malifacent and Hades discovering that Maleficent is pregnant with Mal, possibly see them split with Uliana maybe after hades splits from Maleficent, Maleficent creating a group with Evil queen, Cruella, and Jafar, Mal and gang's adventure's at least a scene or two when they're brought back for back up! Jane working on her magic (from Wicked ways cartoon) and having that shown in the movies especially now that Fairy godmother's wand is destroyed (though with the time travel it's probabaly reversed) though I'd say the wand being destroyed would be one of the first things to go wrong to show someone messed with time (at least that's how i'd write it)... I'd want to see the kids from the 3rd movie as well and how they're doing!

The plot holes were absolutely insane. Especially the one with Chad charming and his and his sisters family. The genes don’t line up. But overall it was pretty decent but the movies ending felt like a chunk was massing like it should have not been the end.

My theory with the prank turning Bridget evil is more of a "the last straw" thing. Like for so many years, Bridget had been trying to be nice to Ulyana, but her niceness was never reciprocated, and after Uly playing a prank on her, it finally pushed her over the edge. Just my lil' take on it.

I just want to know what actually happened because that was not an ending 🙃 I think it all has to do with them delaying the production so many times, so they had to rush it. It's like a 7.5/10. I first watched decandests 1 when I was 21 in 2015 It really helped me in hard times because I was going through grief. This movie ruined my young adulthood the only real good thing was them bringing back the 1997 DVD movie Cinderella back and the Cameron tribute
Growing up my favorite show ever was coop and cami and to see ruby so grown up and doing other movies and tv shows makes me so proud of her ❤

The reason I don’t like this movie as much as the others and the reason it’s on the bottom is because it was directed by a different person and their outfits flopped unlike the other movies.
Edit: aswell this movie was very very short, just by hiding a book it made her good? Realistically Uliana would’ve found another way to prank her. Also how is no one going to talk about the fact that they literally met their parents back in time so it should’ve altered time to make them know eachother and I find it hard to believe on how it was back in time but they were all wearing modern clothes. I feel like this movie just doesn’t make sense and it has a lot of missing gaps. Would’ve been a better idea to do a throwback movie of descendants on the parents of the VK’s. Seeing maleficents and Ursula’s friendship or their rivalry and also seeing how they got booted off to the isle after coming to auradon. Aswell please pick a wig for our girl Chloe. 😭😭😭 it changes every other scene and I wish we could’ve seen mal come back and fight the queen of hearts. A literal Demi-god, dragon and a witch against a girl with a stack of cards. 😂

Hmmm... So we know that Red and Chloe didn't actually stop anything from happening by stealing the book. It's just not possible. And we also know Bridget has a grudge on Ella so it has to have something more to do with Ella than we were told. But Bridget still turned nice in the end. So I'm wondering if Red and Chloe's presence changed SOMETHING - for example, maybe Bridget did end up checking the mirror to see her future. Or maybe Ella changed how she approached the situation. Something like that. Curious if another movie would expand on this, and if anything else in the future changed but maybe for the worse.
Either that or the whole plot literally makes zero sense and I'm just too hopeful 😂
