Can I Walk 3 Miles Everyday? | Redoing My 5 Mile Walking Challenge
Вставка

- Remember when I tried to walk 5 miles everyday and failed? I was motivated to try again, but this time I took a realistic approach. Based on how much I was walking while being home, I decided to challenge myself to walking 3 miles (or 6,000 steps) every day for a week. This is what happened.

I loved every moment of this video! You're my favorite UA-camr. ❤
Awww thank you, Ladee. You’re one of my favorite people. Love ya! 💖
Hey I'm going on your journey with you🤜🤛 I'm having a 5k walk event in Aug. Keep in touch with me and we can walk together even virtual if need be😊 can't wait to hear from you😊
This was sooooo inspiring! I I can relate to EVERYTHING you said. I’m currently on a daily 3 mile challenge, and hope to make it through 😃😃😃
Ahh that’s so great to know! Some days can be a struggle because the mind refuses to cooperate but once I’d start walking I’d be alright. You’ve got this!! xx
I just started walking 5-8 miles a day and I get it I’m 2 weeks in and sometimes I don’t want to do it but I make myself. I do virtual walks for charity to keep me motivated. You’re doing great!
That’s wonderful motivation!! Doing virtual races has really kept me walking (but now so has adopting a dog 🤣). Best of success to you!!
everyone is a sweaty mess after working out :)
congrats on walking 3 miles everyday just simply walking can do a lot :)
It really can! Thank you! ☺️
Excellent perseverance! Thank you for sharing your story. I feel your struggle - it's hard to make a big change - and hard to continue especially when the rest of life is a challenge too. Good for you!! Keep on trekkin' 👟👟👟
I have nothing but respect for people who try and try again. Just remember, it’s your journey and whatever the reason is for wanting to get healthier, you are in full control of how that’s accomplished. It can be super hard to stay motivated when doing these things alone, but if you can push through the crap days, you can do anything.
You're so human. Thanks for being you....sooo relatable!
Just found you. So very kind of you to share this deep honesty. I really liked you instantly and will look for more videos on your channel.
I walk 3 miles everyday for an hour on the treadmill (in my house dress so no shorts riding up) You seem like so much fun. Keep going! You can do this!
I like that.. where whatever you want! Thank you so much!!
Have u lost any weight? I might start walking instead of running
@@jennydiaz47 I lost my post baby weight and have been maintaining a petite size. Try it out! I’m actually on my treadmill walk as I type this.
Great job!!! You’re so inspiring!
I think you’ve done awesome and hopefully you’re still walking. So good for you mentally
you’re so love able, you’ve an x factor that makes me feel relaxed to you, wish you all the best and more
Oh the period weight gain is real! I weigh myself once a week, but on my period week I don't record the number because I know it's always off for bloating. It's just not worth the stress thinking about it during the time I already feel like crap. Great job on your walking challenge! I love walking and yoga because both are low impact and great exercise!
I wish I could get into yoga! I would struggle with focus and trying to enjoy it.
@@Karen_esque hey, everyone is different and likes different things. I'm very good at focusing, but I totally get it that it's not everyone else's cup of tea. Find what makes you feel good, and do that activity 😊
Take care
So proud of you!!
I just discovered your video and immediately followed it. You are a very sincere person, I am proud of you. You can make it, together we can make it.💥🤗💐💗
You inspire me to do this challenge! In helping others we help ourselves and begin to heal🙏
I pray you will find strength to continue finding you. Lots of people will be inspired to do the same. Thanks for sharing your journey.
Yay! So proud and happy for you Karen!! I’ve never heard of the woosh effect. I’m glad to know that.
Thanks, Rick!! I’ve tested it many times and it really does happen! Knowing what my body is doing really helped me develop a healthy relationship with the scale. So now seeing it all as data, like the woosh, is fascinating!
I experience the woosh effect too! Great job at completing your step challenge!
That's awesome! It's helped me with practicing patience and slow progress. And thank you!!
You are sooo awesome!! Thank you for this video...was just what I needed. ❤
I'm glad this resonated with you!!
This is such a great motivation, thanks for sharing! I might challenge myself to this exact challenge too, especially now I'm in an office job I feel like its important xxx
Let me know if you do, Izzy!! xx
When a person can recognize what they consider a flaw you’re actually growing in that moment ❤️ I hope you continue until you recognize yourself
I just watched this video. I loved it. You are real and sincere. This video is a bit old so I am hoping you are in a better place mentally than when you filmed it. You inspired me. You are a beautiful person. Be happy. You deserve that.
Thank you so much!! I’m closing in on sticking to my journey for one year and have participated in a few virtual races! I’ve been working on not giving up. 💪
You are so real😍.Keep up the good work!
Thank you so much!
Congratulations on your success at the challenge and the fab results from it!!
Haha thank you xx
I am so proud of you sis !!!
Thank you so much! I appreciate that. xx
You did it!!!!!!! So happy for you :)
Thank you, friend!! 🥰 Still going.
Looking for new updates, I hope you are still pushing forward. I just subscribed so just wanted to say you're doing more than weight loss your finding yourself and that is the bigger part of your journey. Well done.
Thank you! I’m still here. I guess you can say I haven’t been posting as much because I’m working on more than simply weight loss, which isn’t very vloggable haha. xx
@@Karen_esque good for you
Karen, you are so absolutely lovely! Well done for pushing on 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 It really does come down to Mind Over Matter, doesn’t it? I’m doing 30 day Challenge and currently on day 17, so I do appreciate what you went through. Just a question- are you keeping up with your walking?
Best of luck on your journey
I loved this video ❤️
This absolutely helped me today. Thank you ma'am. The strength was inside us all along, as cheesy as that sounds.
Aww I’m glad to know this video helped. It’s been a great reminder for me. And that is so true, cheesy or not! 😊
@@Karen_esque I've been struggling with dieting for 15 years. On and off. It wasn't until I became interested in the psychology behind why I was emotionally eating that it hit home how much I was trying to people please too. It feels good to know others get it and aren't making me feel like crap over it. I'll keep cheering you on. thank you so much for being so candid.
@@writtenpieceopaper1 I’m happy to know you’ve been on a similar journey to mine. It’s been eye opening for me, as well, to look at why I was emotionally eating. I’m glad that I can resonate and we can cheer each other on! 😊
You amazing person keep up with the walk
Super!❤
You are so relatable
Please keep on doing it... u can only benefit by loosing weight...cherry in top, and to claim our heath👌❤️ my daughter and myself to it 5 to 6 times a week👌❤️
Im still going. 💪
You probably won’t see this but the biggest change I see in you is your 😀 😊
I'm wanting to do a 5 miles a day for 30 days
Thank u for sharing ❤
Steptember !! 👍
So damn proud of you always. Also COME BACK TO ME!
Thank you!! xxx I'm trying! The extra wages only being 6 weeks put a wrench in my plans.
Congratulations all this is NOT easy, I know from perisomal experience. I started walking a little over a year ago and over the course of the year I gradually upped my distance. Currently I walk 4 miles every other day. I find I need a day to recover. It is not easy. I find that I enjoy the goal set and accomplished despite of, or maybe because of, the difficulties I take pride in walking that distance. It may be easy for others but not for me. I just upped my distance about one month ago and in the sprig I will probably up it again, but for now 4 miles every other day is a lot for me.
I do not weigh often as I find that to be the road to discouragement, instead I just do what I KNOW needs to be done to get more fit and loose weight and once every 6 months when I get a physical I have the Doctor weigh me. Over the past year I have lost 74 pounds, I still have a lot more to go but allow me to pat myself on the back for what I have done. I keep telling myself I did not gain all this weight over night I will not loose it over night ("darn" it). In the mean time my fasting blood sugar is down to a normal range and my blood pressure is lower than it has been for years (128 over 84)
The really nice thing is that I find I have so much more energy for everything I do, I guess not carrying all that weight around plus the regular exercise. I wonder how much more energy I will have when I loose more, it may tale a LOOOOOONG time but I will loose it
Keep up what you are doing, loosing weight is not easy, but it can be done. And remember the messages you tell yourself mean A LOT so sing friggen happy songs when walking
You should pat yourself on the back!! That’s a tremendous accomplishment. You did that and that’s amazing! I wish you continued success. Thank you for the kind words!!
I agree with you.. I just started walking a few months ago and try to do 3-4 miles per walk, preferably at night when less people are out and it's cooler.
I haven't done a walk over 4.5 miles yet.. I feel that's a bit much and 2 miles isn't worth it. 3-4 is the sweet spot for me.
That’s terrific! I was the same way with 3-4 miles for a while. One day I started listening to a podcast and that’s what extended my walks to 5 miles. It randomly happened, so one day that could happen to you!
@@Karen_esque True, I may get there. I combine walking my dog with my walks... he might get mad if we walk 5 miles! lol
I'm gonna do this! Wish me luck 😂
That’s awesome! You’ve got this!!
I would love to do challenges with you!
Have you tried any “walk at home” videos? Those helped me when I have felt that heavy/can’t move feeling. I’ll mute them and listen to my own music. For days I feel like I can’t get to a park or the weather is bad.
Yup, did them! These days I have to walk every single day no matter what because we have a dog. :)
Amazing video. You seem super sweet and this will be helpful.
Occasionally buy pretty clothes. Have you been to torrid? I love shopping there online. Honestly putting makeup on or pretty clothes even for no reason will definitely make u feel better
❤️👍
Walking builds muscle and bone weight too !
You look great
fyi
muscles weight more then fat. so if your doing alot of walking your building muscle! the only measurement that really counts is your waist....
i suggest you go on a very low carb diet. i dropped 25lbs in a month with that
your doing great and keep doin the work
There must be some Taurus in the atmosphere... brr! Haaaahaha
Yessss 🤣🤣
❤❤❤❤🏁
Hi Karen! just wanted to say that you're beautiful
Aww you're too kind. Thank you. Right back atcha.
hi from bruneii
Cut way down on carbs for the win 😯
You should walk at minimum 10 mikes a day for better results
Hello I just came across ur video. Seek God. Read Bible and asked God to lead your weight loss journey. Another piece of advice they also have mile walks on UA-cam just did one other day in living room. Burned over 500 calories. I also walk 2 miles in the morning. Keep going don’t give up.
If anyone is feeling empty, lonely, depressed etc, I want you to know that Jesus loves you, and He is the Only one who can make you feel true love, happiness, joy and peace. We need to repent of our sins and turn to Him and start living for Him and He will be there with you every step of the way.
