    I've had my Hornet x2 for a few years now and I have to say it's the most comfortable helmet I've ever owned.

    I have the same helmet since 3 years, very good. Only small problem the pin lock for the visor in the winter will touch the helmet when you open the vizor and the pin lock top will get sratched very quickly on 2 inches from the top of the pin lock.

    Great helmet, mine needs new pads yet I can't find any replacements parts on your site.

    I tried to love the X2 but the neck roll wanted to rip my ears off and when I put my Cardo speakers in, the pressure on my ears became unbearable. Moving up a size would probably solve that issue, but then the helmet would likely be too big.

    Wish they had a few non boring colors...I wish Shoei and Arai would have Icon do their graphics lol

      Exactly and great idea! Plus the super old school DDs.... You know it's boring when they have 3 shades of black, 2 of white and 2 of grey. Come on...

      I always look at a plain colorway, especially a matte colorway, as a blank canvas to design however you want. If you're not artsy, support a local artist .

    I see this getting out of stock in the EU. Probably because it is ece 22.05 rated and they need the 06 cert now. Do you have any news if we can expect an update?

    For me is also the best ADV helmet, but the drawback is the weight and also missing of sunvisor.

    How does it compare with Arai XD4 ? Especially weight and the XD4's complicated visor removal mechanism and the sharp angle of the visor in front of the nose.

      Weight wise, the Hornet is heavier, but the visor mechanism is muuuuuch better. The Hornet is also quieter. They're both great helmets and many riders here at Rocky Mountain use the XD4, but the Shoei just feels more refined than the XD4. - Chase

    I am a long oval egg-head. I am far away from any dealers, or anything else for that matter. I want to be shooting in the ballpark at least on my purchase. Thanks!

    Can you use goggles with the shield still mounted?

    • @rmatvmc
      @rmatvmc  Рік тому +1

      I've seen pictures of riders using goggles with the shield still attached, but if forces you to have the goggle strap pretty low. So it is possible, but I wouldn't say the ideal setup. But since the visor is so easy to remove, it makes wearing goggles fairly simple when needed. - Chase

      There is a smoked lens and a mirrored lens available that will offer some protection from the sun.
