@@VCGConstruction Yeah, wasn't to impressed with IX trailer. Hope its better than VIII but so far I haven't liked the new trilogy. Rouge One was good, VII was just Ok, VIII was bad. Hopefully IX will be able to finish out the trilogy on a "high note".

Because of you Vince i have started buying new cordless tools, and i haven't felt the need to do so in over 20 years. Up to now i have had Makita which has been reliable, but your channel has got me motivated. I am a millman (cabinet maker/finish carpenter) by trade that is 3 years from retirement. You just put the fuel back into my want to do projects for friends and family along with side work now and after i retire. I just spent a grand this last couple weeks buying the 2997 kit, 2730 and 2737 saws and was looking into which batteries to get next. This just topped the list at least for the drill and impact drivers. Question, will this battery charge on the standard charger?

Ok, liked the heads up comparison with the 5.0 as i have more than I’ll ever need of those. Think the new CP3s size are what I envisioned when I ordered the double pack of XC3.0s last year. Those are the same size/weight as the XC5.0 were and to me it seemed of no benefit so sent them back. While I can wholehearted get behind a good geek out, I see no need to open everything up. There are a plethora of other channels that do that and it can be a tedious exercise just to witness as they scramble to outdo each other. I’m more interested in seeing the tools in action. Their features, price points, comparisons. Just because someone can get something to burn up consistently under extreme conditions doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a bad tool under normal conditions and use. Knowing it’s limitations is just as important in many cases. And what better excuse is there to own another tool that will handle that 1 in a 100 or 1000th time your every day tool won’t work? 😉 The personalities, vibes, information, community already present. Tool deals, walk through, Q and As, etc etc. Point being that you all already provide a lot as is, it’s great and appreciated. My 2 cents. Stay safe.

Thanks for the review. How does HO CP 3.0 perform in a drill like 2804-20 fuel hammer drill vs the XC 5.0s that it's often packaged with? Assuming shorter run time with fewer amp-hours but does the drill have the same performance with the smaller battery?
Milwaukee has the best sci-fi names in power tools. I went down to big orange and picked up a red lithium C3PO for my red rover work light.
And why isn't anyone offering a belt or harness mount battery? You could put your HD 9.0 or HD 12.0 on your belt, your shoulder harness, a ladder, or anywhere nearby so you wouldn't be lifting all that weight overhead all day long working on ceilings. On a 5-pound hammer drill or 4-pound drill driver, 3 or 4 pounds is a lot of added weight. Even the high output CP 3.0 is 1.3 pounds and good bang for your buck 1.6 pounds XC 5.0 on a lot of free battery promotions is a lot to lift overhead all day. A good corded hammer drill is 4-5 pounds but a 9.0 or 12.0 battery and drill is nearing 10 pounds.

@@_SCAGS the company is picky on additional tools. The hammer drill and impact driver are quite universal without extra bulk. We also run bandsaw and fuel hacksaw off the same baterries. Therefore 3.0 won't give enough run time to run those 4 tools on and off for 8 to 10 hours. Personally I have several Milwaukee tools for home and auto use. My favorite for auto is the 3/8 ratchet.

Dan Soderholm Bosch 18V Brute can survive a 500 foot drop out of a helicopter (I would put in links but you can’t do that on this channel) . Do you honestly believe that a Gen3 fuel could do the same? If we were to move onto circular saw’s and we were to go for what magnesium shoe can survive the most drop test and which could cut the most linear feet of three-quarter inch subfloor material whether that be OSB or ply not who could cut the fastest but who could cut the most amount of linear feet per amp hour it’s the Bosch CCS180 (10yr old brushed tool), the DeWalt and Makita rear handle or the Milwaukee 7 1/4 fuel can do it faster, they just can’t do it longer. Endurance videos don’t make really interesting TTRs.

Dan Soderholm I only own Dewalt equipment because they gave me a free 996 and if I’m ever in a pickle and I need tools DeFault is everywhere. I have been stuck and needed an 18 V right angle drill on one job site which I had never needed before in the past like at that time 18 years that I have been in my industry and then on the same project later I needed a grinder for the first time in the same, and I was grateful that I had of the 20 V Max platform because I could just go to Home Depot (nearest to site) as a Bosch guy and be able to pick up a $99 grinder or a $99 right angle drill to get me out of the situation I was in. If I could trade all of my Dewalt trade tools or OPE for a Makita I would do it in a heartbeat. I would prefer that Bosch made their professional outdoor power equipment available in North America, but I’m not about ready to hold my breath for that... 😔

Awesome video, the other day at a Fastenal store I overheard a conversation about someone buying an HD 12.0 battery, thinking that it would make his Gen 1 drill have more power. Well in what I've learned, I think that won't happen, right? Maybe you should make a video explaining that, or do you have one already..

😱 what the hell so the HO batteries can put out more power but the run time is only increased by a lil bit while the xc batteries are increased in both power and run time??? What im mean is so if your only looking for power and not run time then the CP HO batteries are the way to go cause the cp 3.0 ho kept up with the 5.0xc but if you need power and run time then the Xc batteries are more geared for those needs?

Do you have a fix for the M18 tool line for the loose battery fit or is that how the Milwaukee battery is supposed to fit. Thanks.

For me i would really like to know how the size and weight compares to the cp2.0. it's not about capacity but size and I want the lightest I can get that reasonably works for doing overhead work.

    Vince,
Milwaukee's web site says the HO battery delivers 50% more power and 50% cooler. Does their definition of 50% more power mean the 2853 impact driver which is rated at max torque of 2,000 in-lbs will go to 3,000 in-lbs?? That would be 50% more power. I don't question the longer run time due to the 12 amps but not sure I understand the "More Power" part.
Not sure if you or someone else reading this might know.
    Thanks

    • @VCGConstruction
      @VCGConstruction  5 років тому

Compared to a standard xc battery it delivers 50% more power and stay cooler. Because of the upgraded cells used inside the battery.

    • @jeffmarks3218

      Thanks Vince!!
It would be great if your team could demonstrate and verify the 50% increase in power on UA-cam. I am not talking about run time. They are claiming POWER. That means that the 2583-20 should be able to go from 2,000 in-lbs to 3,000 in-lbs.
