You never heard anything bad about him off the court, never threw his team mates under the bus, just an overall wonderful human being from my eyes. I think he is one of the reasons why most teams in the NBA looked for a center that can shoot Js and 3s. Most importantly, spread the floor. He really changed the game to where it is now. With his long hair, running back and forth on that court makes him look like a wild stallion out there. Perfect for the Mavericks team. A true Maverick. He really did played it the right way.

Dirk Nowitzki embodies everything a basketball player should be, hard working and doesn't complain about his teammates and he takes charge when he needs to and he is a good teammate and leader, Dirk could have went to another organization and took his talents elsewhere but he stayed with the Mavericks and got them a championship and an MVP and I don't think he got near enough credit or praise by the press for what a player he was.
