@M why the fuck is that releveant here? of course it is, but you gotta understand for america it isn't. Our culture is different than other nations and you gotta respect that just like others respect soccer. Not all do, but the ones who aren't idiots do.
The measure of greatness is when you are playing one on one with your childhood friends and yelling out "DIRK" everytime you shoot a one-legged fadeaway. Thank you for encapsulating my childhood memories big guy.
I was a Celtic fan back into the Bill Russel era , John Havlicek , Larry Bird , Kevin Garnett , but the player I liked to watch the most was Dirk Nowitzki.
The last time i watched an nba finals with my father on tv is the game that the mavs won the championship, he passed the following year. We're a mavs fans..congrats dirk and thanks 4 the memories and i miss you dad..I'll never forget
Grizz fan that has the highest respect for Dirk. We still have Vince Carter, but Dirk is truly the last of a dying breed. You never heard anything bad about him off the court, never threw his team mates under the bus, just an overall wonderful human being from my eyes. It was an absolute honor seeing him in person one last time when the Grizzlies were in Dallas (yes I live here despite being a grizz fan). I know the mavs will take care of Dirk after retirement, but he truly deserves everything good coming toward him in life. An absolute legend, hands down, 1st ballot hall of famer. 👏🏻#41👏🏻
Finding a grizz fan outside of Memphis is like finding a platypus out in the wild. Sure I’ve seen photos of them but to see them in person is startling

You don't have to say "I'm not a maverics fan, but I'm crying", you don't need to be nor do you have to be a fan, to be crying, Dirk is a living legend, one of the most nicest people, nba champion, he singing the song while watching his tribute, so you know, just cry of happiness and sadness
I really really like Dirk since the first time he set foot in Dallas. He’s so good a shooter, plays different than conventional bigs in the US. He changed the way big men should play. Even though Dirk is an All Star, a superstar, we an MVP you will not see him as a boastful person. Lots of love from The Philippines
Man, Dirk is one of the best. One legged fade-away is just amazing. A center that can shoot from anywhere. he really changed the game. I think he is one of the reasons why most teams in the NBA looked for a center that can shoot Js and 3s. Most importantly, spread the floor. He really changed the game to where it is now. With his long hair, running back and forth on that court makes him look like a wild stallion out there. Perfect for the Mavericks team. A true Maverick. He really did played it the right way.
I HATE Green Day with a passion. Most overrated, boring, and untalented mainstream band. Same handful of power chords in all their short songs. Snooze fest.
Not only, but especially from 2006 to 2011 he was probably every boy's hero in germany. I remember that time very well and how could I forget about it. It was something really special going through germany back then. Thanks for all that inspiration Dirkules!
How can you not like this ? Truly amazing and for his father to witness all of this woow, blessed !!! The hard work, the determination, dedication, then watch your son become a champion. True blessing.
Just have the biggest respect for the guy. Dirk Nowitzki embodies everything a basketball player should be, hard working and doesn't complain about his teammates and he takes charge when he needs to and he is a good teammate and leader, Dirk could have went to another organization and took his talents elsewhere but he stayed with the Mavericks and got them a championship and an MVP and I don't think he got near enough credit or praise by the press for what a player he was. A guy like Dirk will be missed by many but he deserves the best in retirement and whatever lies ahead, God bless you Dirk.
Man I'm a heat fan i hated the mavericks for beating the heat but i respect them especially this man dirk a true legend and a loyal and great player in and out the court.. Thanks dirk..
