*Kris Kristofferson* announced his retirement a few days ago. Kris has been suffering from Lyme disease for a long time now. He experienced memory loss which was at first thought to be some mental condition like dementia or Alzheimer's, but then a doctor made the correct diagnosis and treatment enabled him to go on performing, Apparently, he was not treated early enough and has some permanent damage. We thank Kris for all the great songs and we will miss your presence on the music scene.

Amazing. Johnny Cash was the greatest country singer that ever lived, in fact one of the greatest music artists period. Kris was an incredible writer and probably Cash's biggest fan. Willie? a genius - writes, picks, sings, does it all. These are The Highwaymen sans Waylon. Masters of their craft!

Kristofferson was that brilliant musician defiant of his parents' need to mold him -Instead, he started writing music again in (West) Germany and carried on with Willie, Johnny, Emily Lou and Roseanne just to name a few. I miss those peaceful days of a Happy America when music made you think , evaluate and dream. Thank you Kris.
Hi, this is of course as good as it gets! JR, Kris and Willie along with Waylon as The Highwaymen was the most exciting act one could imagine. JR singing Kris's masterpiece and hanging on to Willie's guitar Trigger is truly a moment, Willie may well be as high as a kite, and it's clear Kris is singin' with his heroes - Happy Holidays!

I'm finding more and more great channels to listen/watch the great CW singers. George Jones sang a song "Who's Gonna Fill their Shoes?" NO ONE. CW music these days isn't what it used to be and never will be the same again. After Johnny Cash passed away I wondered "Who am I going to listen to now? Good thing I have all his music." Travis Tritt, Clint Black, Garth Brooks came along but they are changing their style. John didn't change his. He had CLASS!!!

He wasn't always a lovely man and I doubt that Vivian would agree with you - Vivian, who he had 4 children with. He was a serial adulterer, a junkie and a drunk but did eventually get sorted out. Much as I loved him as an artist, let's not ignore the faults, that made him what he was. He certainly didn't.

just another memory. when june died so did johnny a few months later. they were not divas the were people just like us . you could be in a elevator at Baptist and they would just say how are you doing today. just gracious. they lived like us normal people and that was that.

Think Willie might have it too . . . the idea of The Highwaymen was genius, you had to see the show to really get it. Waylon missing from this clip, but thanks for the uplift.

Well, not to be picky, but Willie is 85 and Bieber is 25, so that's at least 3 generations. These three were all born in the 1930s and Bieber's generation in the 1990s, a 60 year gap.
