For those who may be curious about what my channel name means, it's a play on the magical energy technology system used in on of my favorite series: The Legend of Heroes/Trails/Kiseki games. Pronounced: or·bal·ol·o·gy :)
Please do NOT contact me with trade, sale, or gift inquiries. I have no plans to open a public P.O. Box for fans to send things to me.

I live in Canada and buy from them on a regular basis. There has never been an import fee charged to me regardless of order size. You can always get 5% off if you know where to look 😉. Plus they are actually having a 10% off promo on all asia English games right now!
I saw PlayAsia's recent sale! I'm trying to decide what to get, there's so many Asian English exclusives I've put off getting 😅
@@orbalology Just do it! 😉
I need that 5% off! Where can I look? :)
@@guidosavio7668 switch watch always have a code every month. Use their link in their video though so they get a kickback
@@jpixels4042 Thank you!!!
Gotta click the “in stock” filter too, that way you don’t get heart broken.
Yup, that's a good tip!
I didn’t realize that about Amazon Japan. Good deals to be had there.
It’s nice to see others get Japanese games with English options - I did that for a few Pokémon games on switch, it was just more affordable at the time :) thanks for the tips on using play Asia
Thanks for the tips Emily!!!
😄
Love your stuff ☺️ keep it up
Thank you!! 😄
Very nice little glimpse into your shopping methods! Might have to try it out sometime! Thanks Em!
There are some really cool Asian exclusive stuff on these sites, hope you can find some great deals on there 😄
@@orbalology Just need to find a lovely Garbodor figure and I can call my collection complete.
There's something relaxing about watching you shop for games.
I really wish the Ace Attorney games (Spirit of Justice and Dual Destinies) on the 3DS were released on other platforms with the eshop there closing and all. 😢
I'm surprised they haven't ported the other Ace Attorney games over to the Switch at least. Hopefully Capcom will do that at some point.
@@orbalology We did get the The Great Ace Attorney games, so maybe there is always a chance.
I figure capcom are likely working on those as part of a HD AA trilogy which will one day come over.
The original trilogy got a HD sprite remaster release, and the other trilogy of games that never came out of Japan got a western release too. So naturally, I'd have thought the next one would be a new trilogy starting with Apollo Justice and ending with Spirit of Justice.
Awesome collection and video love it 😊 it been yrs ago ago I ordered play asia I got GameCube Japaneses and some amiibos too
Thanks! Yeah PlayAsia has a nice selection and fairly good pricing for most things :)
Awesome game haul - especially the Ace Attorney trilogy!!😊💙 Enjoy that one!
I'm really excited to finally get into the Ace Attorney games! Will take your advice starting the prequel first but then will get to this trilogy :)
Love the video, I been wanting to get Turtles Shredders revenge from play-Asia but I will check Amazon, hopefully it’s cheaper. Thanks.
No problem! Hope you're able to get it for a great deal!
Great information! I’m familiar with Play-Asia but I’ve never ordered from them, or Amazon Japan. I’ll have to give it a try.
They're great alternatives for the Asian exclusive releases! I often find their prices much more favorable than what you find on Amazon or eBay through 3rd party sellers :)
Great video! I loved the picture-in-picture aspect. My biggest complaint about PlayAsia is the shipping time. I've never used Amazon Japan so I'll have to check it out soon. Sometimes I'll use Amazon in the US to buy import titles as well, depending on price and availability
Oh I hope you find some cool stuff on Amazon Japan. Their shipping times always amaze me, especially with their priority option. They typically use DHL for that and it arrives generally within 3-4 days, and if you live close to a DHL hub sometimes just 2 days.
cool idea for a video! i grabbed chrono cross from here and an elden ring book!
Oh nice!! I've been meaning to get Chrono Cross, one of these days I'll need to make an Asian exclusive order 😅
2:15 I want to give you a huge thank you regarding the Xenoblade North American reprints video you put out a few months ago! Because of you I was able to purchase a reasonably priced version of Torna. It arrived recently and I've been playing it in preparation for XC3. Thank you again!
Oh I'm glad you were able to get one of the recent reprints! Enjoy your new game, Torna is a lot of fun :)
Great video!! I buy all my games (and manga and light novels haha) in japanese, and have always just bought current gen games on amazon, and older ones on ebay. I had no idea that playasia had free shipping over a certain price, so this is good info even for me (who’se not concerned with them having english)!!
I can add, for amazon: For me (in canada) I always get my orders within 4 days (somehow), and the great thing too is that I can confirm that the fees include the import fees. So when you receive your package, you don’t get surprised with those fees! (not sure if playasia does this too, been too long since I ordered haha)
Oh good to know! Glad Amazon Japan accommodates custom charges in their initial payment. I haven't heard anyone mentioning whether Playasia includes import fees at checkout so I have a feeling that they unfortunately don't.
Great video
Thank you!! 😄
Although sometimes expensive I use Play Asia for all my import needs and I'm glad they are getting into publishing :-)
Yeah I like that too! I've grabbed a couple of their play exclusive titles, mostly the VNs so far. I like how they reprint their standard versions as well.
@@orbalology Thanks so much for all info on Amazon Japan :-)
Waiting for metroid prime end of this week here in Germany
Really liked the video. Thanks. Very useful. Just to let you know if you don't already know or not. River city girls 2 is still in development. No release date for the game yet.
Yeah LRG is doing the NA River City Girls 2 release but I sort of want to avoid that version. I don't have the 1st release so that was why I was eyeing the Japanese double pack cart.
@@orbalology O ok. I get it now. Thanks for telling me
Nice video! Em
I bought Chrono cross in playasia, the price was okey. Looks like it depends on the game itself, whether the price will be fair or not.
I checked last week if it has 3ds dragon quest games. For the north American version...it's cheaper to buy a European new 3Ds and European DQVIII, than just buying American DQVIII 😅
yeah the DQ 3DS & DS games are all getting so pricey. I really hope Square Enix port/remaster more in the near future.
With these JPY at its lowest level since the 90s and predicted to go even lower, now is definitely the time to get Switch imports. I only use PA at this point for Asian English exclusive games. And since I live in Korea, shipping is less than ¥1000. I've been grabbing so much stuff these past few months. Definitely grab what you can while the prices are still low.
Great video👍
Thanks! And I agree - now is a great time to import from Japan with the current currency exchange.
On Amazon Japan you can (now) change the display currency to USD :)
Yup you can do that for non-preordered items. But the amazon exchange rate is a little worse than my credit card (that doesn't have any exchange fees) which is why I opt for placing all my orders in JPN Yen.
I love shantae !!!! And Okami use to play on ps2
I remember seeing ads/review for Okami back in the day so I'm glad they remastered it on the Switch so I can finally play it :)
Cool video I'll keep it in mind next time I import some stuff. Do you ever get rid of games if so what are your tips for that?
Oh I was thinking of making a 'purge' video at some point haha. I can make a video with tips concerning how to weigh those decisions, and maybe selling tips for casual sellers? idk if that would be an interesting topic or not though.
@orbalology Yeah I think it could if you wanted to make it. Most collectors deal with purging stuff at some point.
Hashihime of the old book town is a really good VN in my opinion. I am not into Yaoi but from what I saw during a friend's play session I'd say its one of the more intriguing VNs I have seen her play. I hope you enjoy it.
Edit* The Alrest records art collection is a great book and did you see that two more Fire Emblem characters just dropped for PO? I honestly cannot pickup the Binding Blade figures. I am running out of space and we never got the game officially localized so my attachment to the characters is pretty non-existent.
I've heard really great things about the game as well! There are apparently a lot of interesting psychological elements and I heard it can get rather dark, so really hoping it works for me as well!
And I saw the new FE figures drop last night! I'm very tempted to get the pair, really love that they fit together (but not too sure about the missing slice between them... and if it means Good Smile is going to announce something else soon or what 💀). I only started collecting scales this year and all the upcoming preorders for Trails & Xenoblade is making it all overwhelming. I'll need to be more selective soon so I don't start running out of space as well 😅
Great tips for Amazon jp.
Thanks! 😄
Hi, Thanks for the filtering tips, so I can actually only sort Japan english games. But I think they reorganized the website, so the sorting /filtering function is totally reworked ?
Hmm, they may have changed the interface slightly but you can still access the same filtering as I showed here (if this link works) www.play-asia.com/games/nintendo_switch/games/14/712fj#fc=prc:1.0000000000
What made you decide to get the Asian version of Shantae & the Seven Sirens instead of NTSC?
Price. When I was looking for Shantae games Seven Sirens was expensive for the limited run/best buy versions so I grabbed the Japanese version off a proxy site used for $20 instead.
@@orbalology I have the collectors edition for it, so I really didn't know the standard edition price 😅
Does Amazon JP deliver to US with a NA account?
It's been awhile since I sent up my account, but I think you need to use a new account on Amazon Japan's site. Though you can try to log into your usual Amazon site with your NA account and click the icon with the country flag to Japan and see if that works.
And for anyone interested “switchwatch” offers 5% off on top of everything else🎉 if anyone watches their channel the code is always offered. Awesome video! Thank you. Also that must be some good tea i tell you whhat.
At 2:35 you mention that Xenoblade 2 Torna is getting a reprint in NA - is there a website that tracks info like that for all games? I always miss out on stuff like that 🫠
No website that I know of. But there are two Canadian websites that ship internationally that have been advertising reprints/restock since last spring: VideoGamesPlus & PNP Games. I think they're taking backorders right now but I would recommend also following them on their social media accounts for up-to-date info.
@@orbalology i see! Thanks for the reply :)
