Correction: The first Cat Quest game is fully available on the cart in Cat Quest 2! Even though it's redundant, I still want to get the first release of the game on Switch just for collecting reasons 😅 I also accidently left out 4 visual novels towards the end when I had to refilm after my microphone ran out of power. I haven't gotten to them yet but they are interesting titles to look into: Hashihime of the Book Town, Butterfly's Poison, Clannad, and Little Busters.
I truly appreciate the sentiment, but I have a no gift policy from viewers. One of the reasons for this is as I strive to build a more curated collection I will inevitably be getting rid of games that I do not to vibe with. So I would feel bad to part with games that were donated/gifted to me by viewers in working towards this goal.
I'm just now watching this 😊. I wanted to share and say that potion permit is getting a re-release as potion permit the complete edition. It's a pegi only release. It contains all the dlc. I ordered it for switch. I don't have the game yet and then I discovered this version. Awesome video. Great games you have
I’ve watched a few of your videos now and I really appreciate that you inform us about games being completed on the cartridge. I’m not one who collects games to preserve them, mainly I do so because I like the way the cases look. But I find it very appealing to know if I’m getting the full game on my physical copy or if I’m having to download the rest of it. Thank you. Also, I love hearing about reprints and all the other useful information you provide. I’ve discovered quite a few games through you and once again, thank you.
I'm glad to hear that you've found some of the little pieces of info I've come across useful or at least interesting! The more into the weeds I get the more fascinating how this side of the hobby can be, so glad I can help spread some awareness on it :)
I got into Switch late into the game and I am now looking to collect physical copies. Thanks to channels like this! I haven't had a Nintendo since the Gamecube and I'm happy with the Switch very fun to collect for.
It’s crazy to think that your first Switch Collection video was the first video of yours I ever watched! I don’t know if I’ve ever told you this, but that video was one of the initial inspirations for me to start doing UA-cam! You have so many cool games in your collection and it definitely reminded me of a few I wanna try to pick up at some point😂 great, great video per usual-it’s so fun to see how your collection has grown over the past 2 years!
Forever vicariously living through you with your gorgeous and well curated / displayed Switch collection lol This is going to be an amazing watch, looking forward to this Emily! As always, stellar job and your videos are always worth the wait :)
The newest Brigandine game is criminally underrated! It has some of the very deepest combat mechanics and systems I've ever encountered in an SRPG. Also, Cross Code is legitimately only playable with a pro controller! I think you'll be pleasantly surprised when you try it again. As always, another wonderful cozy video! Thank you so much for sharing your passion for games! I love it! 💜
Just wanted to say awesome collection and I appreciate your honesty on how the games perform on the Switch. Even though I’m more into shmups and beat’em ups, your philosophy on curating a collection has really inspired me with my own collection and how I display and collect either digitally or physically for the various consoles I have.
EXCELLENT collection you've got! I definitely need to go through my Switch collection on a video, myself. I love how knowledgable you are with all of your games, as well as how much you enjoy collecting in general.
To be honest, most people that started collecting games after 2015 are usually the ones that sell everything off. Game collecting has become more of a fad due to the surge of youtubers making content about buying and selling games.
Sweet. I became a new viewer of yours on the last video you posted so I was waiting for a new video. I don't even have a Switch, but I just like watching video game content and it looks like you got a fair amount of games so I like to see what titles you got.
Amazing collection! I had over 500 switch games at one point but had to sell some for extra cash. I still currently have about 200 switch games now. Please keep collecting ❤
I agree with your organization method. I personally like to organize mine by genre, publisher, series, and release order. At least I try… to the best of my ability considering the small space I have to work with
I also collect mainly niche games for the switch so its nice to see a collection vid where there is a lot of crossover from what I have. This video serves as a buyers guide for me 😂
I have played Hollow Knight, and man, it gives you more than you can imagine. This game has the "je ne sais quoi" about it when you play it long enough. It treats you fairly and has the same vibe like "Celeste" and teach you to be a "better" gamer each time you fail. Highly recommended game. :D
omg a short hike is so good. I’d love to have that on switch. Just also got Later Alligator - which was made by the guys who had a lot to do with the Big Top Burger animated shorts on UA-cam. Oh and Raji too! My friend did a little art work on the backgrounds of that game. I love these niche games and that the switch has indie titles + so many VNs and JRPGs physically available. The switch has been so fun to collect for and your enthusiasm for it has been really contagious. Loved the video!
Glad to hear you enjoyed this one! The Switch is indeed so fun to collect for because of all these really neat niche titles that are available physically :)
Nintendo should hire you to do PR. You'll make me want to buy more videogames, hah! This is a terrific shelf collection, it looks wonderful. Thank you so much for sharing.
I admire your courage to get in front of a camera and talk about your collection. It's very inspiring and I've been thinking more and more about doing the same. You have an awesome collection!
1:06 An off topic question 🫢 How do you clean your shelves, your figures, your games from dust? Do you remove everything and just clean with a microfiber fiber every week or something like that? or do you have any special advice or trick? 😅 Thanks in advance! 😊
Great collection! I am currently playing Nier Automata as 9S and I realized that it really does have different endings and replays with different characters. And when you play with different character you start to see better hidden elements of the whole thing.
omg, I just got into gunvolt and megaman through GV3 myself and im having a great time honestly! gv3 is a bit of a wreck to fans of the long running story, but I found it very approachable gameplaywise and enjoyed the heck out of the lowkey side coversations and stuff. extremely beautiful UI too. it may not be the ideal starting point, but I certainly loved it!
great video and great collection! it put some games I haven't heard of on my radar and also gave me some more background on some I was thinking of getting. your videos always manage to be both entertaining and informative and i really appreciate that :) also organising them by publisher and genre actually sounds way better than alphabetical if you ask me
I’m surprised you didn’t have Harvestella, seems like a game in your wheelhouse. Also not that you need more to play but Rain Code is a fantastic game. So well done. Great video and great collection, thanks for sharing!
Great recommendations.i I collect mostly digitally, but trust the word of physical collectors more. I feel like there's more thought put into physical collecting. Anyways, thanks for sharing!
0:34 I see Utawarerumono. Nice underrated series. I have the full trilogy, the Japanese collector's editions, spin offs, the entire anime and a complete coin figure set made for the original game in 2002. Such a shame you can't get the later two games easily anymore on the PS4 since Atlus lost the license.
Love when there’s fun art on the inside of the case. I hope you do get around to the Chrono games. The DS version of CT is the best one IMO, and it’s a fun game that doesn’t waste your time. CC is more of another adventure in the same universe, and if you take it that way I think you’ll find a lot to like.
This inspired me to reorganize a little bit. I organize by publisher and keep the series together, but I had a few games that had somehow gotten in the wrong place.
I've been actively collecting for the Switch since 2020 and have learned a lot in that time. It was also my only modern console until recently so that is why I have some games I regret buying on there because I now have access to playing better formats for them.
Just moving into our new home here in Victoria, Australia, and conducting a garage conversion into a games room ! I am finally getting to display all my Wife & I ‘s collection! Nice video 🎉
I'll watch basically any video from you to begin with, so an updated collection video was so exciting to see! Especially because we have such similar taste, it was great to hear your thoughts on all these games I love or am interested in playing. With my physical Switch collection sitting at 350 games, I don't often find older games that catch my attention anymore that I don't already have, but you gave me one today with Heaven's Vault. Can't wait to check it out 🙂 Not sure if you're waiting for a North American release, but earlier this month some folks in the Switch Cartridge Revision Community on Facebook confirmed that a 003 revision with both DLC's on cart has been printed for the Japanese version of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Most people who got theirs bought it from Amazon Japan, though apparently some still received the 001 cart, but I guess that's always the risk with hunting down revised carts. From the games you currently have, I can vouch for Inscryption and Cupid Parasite. Inscryption has a great dark/suspenseful atmosphere and the story kept me engaged until the end. I also really enjoyed the gameplay loop once it really opened up, I think it had a good amount of complexity but not so much that it drags down the pacing of the story. Cupid Parasite is pretty much the fun rom com it appears to be, as long as you enjoy the ride and not take the wacky and overdramatic parts too seriously. Lastly, if I may recommend a potential game to add to the collection: Buried Stars. It's a Korean visual novel about a group of contestants for a survival talent show (think X Factor/American Idol), who get trapped at the venue of their first live show and have to solve the mystery of the murder that took place there. Unfortunately as it was only released in Korea, the game is not the cheapest, but personally I thought it was a worthwhile addition to my collection as a visual novel fan. The art style in particular is gorgeous, in my opinion. Anyway, I'll end my essay here, thank you for the great video and as always, looking forward to the next one 😊
You have built up an amazing Switch collection. Very impressive! I wonder if you have thought of adding the Prinny Presents collections which have some older JRPGs which are not so easy to find anymore. They have physical editions which are also getting harder to find. I got the third one as it has the first Rhapsody game which you cannot get elsewhere now and also La Pucelle: Ragnarok which is basically a proto Disgaea game. I have enjoyed both games a lot recently.
Awesome video! Void terrarium is worth a shot, I’d recommend it! It’s more like the mystery dungeon rogue-like dungeon crawlers, with awesome aesthetic and music. The terrarium upkeep takes a back seat 😊
What a very awesome and varied collection you have. After the Wii U, it's actually awesome to see how much third party support the switch has. I also like the organization of your shelves. I am a culprit when it comes to loading as many titles as possible on each shelf. More recently I've been very interested in trading out the IKEA billy shelves for something more appeasing on the eyes. Might try these models. Seeing how you utilize your collectors editions for display purposes is aestheically pleasing. Takes notes. Something I will try in the future. Thanks for the video!
It's wild how large & extensive the Switch library is! And if you decide to change things up with your display shelves I hope everything goes smoothly!
Wonderful collection!!! You should keep the Switch version of Fenyx Rising. The cool thing about that game is you can play on the PS5, save your game and upload it to your Ubisoft acct, and pick it up on the Switch. So I've played on PS, had to go somewhere for an appointment, and continued playing on my Switch while I wait😊 If more games were like this, I'd have a TON more double games for PS5 and Switch, and my budget would hate me 🤣
Oh my gosh, I love your collection! I wanted to pop in and recommend the Spirit Hunter vn games if you are at all into horror. There's three now, and they are all high quality. Another weird vn I bought recently is Of the Red, The Light and The Ayakashi Tzuzuri, which is a mouthful of a name - but is an interesting mystery/horror vn. 💕
I love your jrpg collection. There is something just so exciting, cool and unique about those types of games. I just turned 48 and love them. My 6 yo daughter is starting ro really Persona and the Ys games which is cool 👍
Ill be honest, as someone who grew up playing rpg games from nes to ps2, i sort of stopped at some point. Rpg and horror games are my two favorite genres. My wallet hates me for it though lol. Lately ive been trying to get back into the rpg genre and your videos help me recognize whats out there these days. I wish games like thousand arms, lunar, or legend of dragoon would be made available on modern consoles. So many amazing rpg games from my childhood need a remaster.
I love your collection and the way you have displayed it! So much cool stuff from games to figures. I'm currently playing Persona 5 Royal and I'm almost done with it. Unicorn Overlord is next for me.
Great video, and wonderful collection. Interesting to me how closely it mirrors my own. You seem amazing. Keep making the enjoyable content and I’ll keep watching. ✌️❤️
Very nice collection. I have nowhere near that amount of games and I just bought the OLED Zelda Editiion of my Switch last summer (never had a Switch before so very late in the game) so I don't have that many games for it yet. Hopefully can add more as budget allows, I only buy games I like and know I will play again.
Since you mention about Tokyo RPG Factory, earlier this year I try "I am Setsuna" for a few hours and I like the music in there, definitely going to continue again later on 😊 For 1st person dungeon crawler game, I did try Undernauts: Labyrinth of Yomi last year Halloween. It's not too hard for beginner (like me🤭) I don't have many VN on Switch, but there's this game called The Centennial Case: A Shijima Story, it's like watching Japanese movie, but also solving murder case, pretty unique but short game 😎 I do interested if you decide to make follow up video, Emily, about your wish list thing. Thank you for sharing your collection, Emily 🤗
There is an upcoming Ty the Tasmanian Tiger switch collection coming out soon that you can get on VGP. It includes Ty 1, 2, and 4 all on the cart. I'm a little sad they've decided to skip on a physical release of 3, but seems this may be the best we get as far as that series physically on Switch
Awesome video. I love your shelves from Amazon. Looks amazing. So I noticed you have Wonder Boy 3 remake Dragon's trap wrapped in the seal not opened. I highly recommend you play that game as it is so much easier than the original one that was on the Sega Master system & the game is a lot quicker because of the save feature & you can farm money really quickly in that. So you like an occasional platformer? I highly recommend you playing any of the top tier 8-16 bit platformers with original controllers on original systems on a CRT tv. You'll get 0 lag. Please don't play these on the switch on the PS4 etc because you will find the experience just ok to not good. Have to play them on a CRT. The best 2D platformer I would recommend for you is Super Mario World on Snes. Very cool that you arrange your game by genre & publisher.
Sadly I have no room for a CRT TV in my current living accommodations. I don't even have a modern TV in my apartment 😅 I can see the appeal though, I just don't think I'll get much utilization out of one at this time.
@@orbalology You must have a hd tv to play your PS4 & PS5. Yeah so I wouldn't recommend the 4K tv's for games. There's very little difference & the hd tv's are really good & simpler. I bought a 4K tv & while it's better feature wise like internet apps like youtube, Tubi stuff like that. I just play my PS4 on my hd tv still.
I have a games & figures collection pratically similar to your one. However I'm missed some tittles (like god wars) but got some collector edition. Anyway , very close I'm very pleasantly surprised. Thanks for your video, Have a nice day King regards, Menouar

I see that to a lot of low IQ players in midlife doing that. But they regret that in hard way in future
lol, we're already speculating about my midlife crisis 😅

And if you decide to change things up with your display shelves I hope everything goes smoothly!
awesome love longer form videos like this!
Wonderful collection!!! You should keep the Switch version of Fenyx Rising. The cool thing about that game is you can play on the PS5, save your game and upload it to your Ubisoft acct, and pick it up on the Switch. So I've played on PS, had to go somewhere for an appointment, and continued playing on my Switch while I wait😊 If more games were like this, I'd have a TON more double games for PS5 and Switch, and my budget would hate me 🤣
The cross save feature is pretty cool with that title!
Oh the Spirit Hunter games are on my wishlist! I rally want to expand on my horror VNs! And thanks for the other recs :)
@@orbalology I hope you enjoy them if you try them! 💕
Nice collection I’m collecting niche games like yours Great job
i don’t have a big gaming collection, but i really enjoy and live by just watching your collection grow❤
Quality > Quantity. But living vicariously through others collections makes for a great substitute too haha
@@orbalology yesss and your collection does inspire me tho🫶🏻
I love your jrpg collection. There is something just so exciting, cool and unique about those types of games. I just turned 48 and love them. My 6 yo daughter is starting ro really Persona and the Ys games which is cool 👍
Gatomon! I have the Gabumon cutie version like that. You inspired me to put it on my streaming background shelf too! ❤
Your joy in collecting makes it a joy to watch your videos.
I want Bartender Simulator Valhalla so bad, as a Venezuelan I wanna show my full support to Venezuelan developers.
This is the vibe
Ill be honest, as someone who grew up playing rpg games from nes to ps2, i sort of stopped at some point. Rpg and horror games are my two favorite genres. My wallet hates me for it though lol. Lately ive been trying to get back into the rpg genre and your videos help me recognize whats out there these days. I wish games like thousand arms, lunar, or legend of dragoon would be made available on modern consoles. So many amazing rpg games from my childhood need a remaster.
Awesome collection! Very jelly of the shelves and organization, my switch games aren't nearly as organized.
I love your collection and the way you have displayed it! So much cool stuff from games to figures. I'm currently playing Persona 5 Royal and I'm almost done with it. Unicorn Overlord is next for me.
Awesome collection! Your voice is so relaxing this is almost unintentional ASMR haha. Btw, do you ever buy games digitally?
I have a few, but I mostly focus on physical collecting at this time.
@@orbalology Okay.
Tiny Barbarian Dx from Nicalis is one of my favorite indie platformers. It comes with a cool bag and Keychain. I believe it's cheap as well
The goodies that are packed in with Nicalis titles are certainly very cool!
What an awesome collection…thanks for sharing. I really appreciate your calm down to earth demeanor. Liked 👍🏼 & subscribed 🔔
Two amazing indie games I didn't see in here are The Messenger and Celeste. Although both physical copies are expensive.
Great video Emily I've seen some I'm going to buy congratulations on an amazing collection
Wow, awesome collection! And no sign of dust either. 😄👍
Great video, and wonderful collection. Interesting to me how closely it mirrors my own. You seem amazing. Keep making the enjoyable content and I’ll keep watching. ✌️❤️
Thank you so much!
AWESOME COLLECTION!
OMG, the Atelier Altar looks so cute!
I really love how that section of my shelves has turned out - all the nendos & Ryza scale figure are so cute :)
It's not too hard for beginner (like me🤭)
I don't have many VN on Switch, but there's this game called The Centennial Case: A Shijima Story, it's like watching Japanese movie, but also solving murder case, pretty unique but short game 😎
I do interested if you decide to make follow up video, Emily, about your wish list thing.
Greetings from Brazil ! Cool collection !
Your collection is awesome Dr. Emily!
Thanks!!
@@orbalology Just so we are clear you said you don't have a modern tv? Does that mean you just don't have a 4K tv but do have a HD tv?
@@orbalology You must have a hd tv to play your PS4 & PS5. Yeah so I wouldn't recommend the 4K tv's for games. There's very little difference & the hd tv's are really good & simpler. I bought a 4K tv & while it's better feature wise like internet apps like youtube, Tubi stuff like that. I just play my PS4 on my hd tv still.
Great video I watched the whole thing you have a beautiful collection 😊
Nice collection! You worked hard for it.
Thanks! I'm really pleased with how it's been shaping up over the last few years :)
Wow 😮 😊 nice glad to see it finally looking 👀 good as always ❤
Great video. U have a lovely variety of games. Will u do a similar video for ur other consoles?
I have a games & figures collection pratically similar to your one. However I'm missed some tittles (like god wars) but got some collector edition.
Anyway , very close I'm very pleasantly surprised.
Thanks for your video, Have a nice day
King regards,
Menouar
