କବି ବନମାଳୀ ଦାସ
ରାଗ ଲଳିତା, ଏକତାଳି
ସଖୀ ଏ କି ବିଡ଼ମ୍ବନା
କାହିଁ ଯିବେ କୁଳବତୀ ନ ହାରି ଚେତନା ଗୋ । ଘୋଷା ।
ନୀପତରୁ ମୂଳେ ଯାହା ଦେଖିଲି ମୁଁ ଆଜ
ତୋ ଆଗେ କହୁଛି ଫେଡ଼ି ଛାଡ଼ି ଭୟ ଲାଜ ଗୋ । ୧ ।
ସେ କିଏ କାହା କୁମର ମୁଁ ତ ନାହିଁ ଚିହ୍ନି
ବାଇ କରାଇଲେ ଚିତ୍ତ କାହିଁକି କି ଘେନି ଗୋ । ୨ ।
ବିକି ହୋଇଗଲି ତାଙ୍କ ନୟନ ଇଙ୍ଗିତେ

ଲାବଣ୍ୟ ରସରେ ତନୁ ଗୋଟିକ ତା ଗଢ଼ା
ମୋହନ ମୂରତି ତ୍ରିଭଙ୍ଗୀରେ ଥିଲେ ଛିଡ଼ା ଗୋ । ୪ ।
ଇନ୍ଦ୍ରନୀଳମଣି ଜିଣି ତେଜ ଦାଉ ଦାଉ
ଦେଖିଲା ମାତ୍ରକେ ପାଦ ନ ଚଳିଲା ଆଉ ଗୋ । ୫ ।
ଶାଶୁଙ୍କ ଡରେ ଅତ୍ୟନ୍ତ କଷ୍ଟେ ମୁଁ ଅଇଲି
ବିଶ୍ୱାସେ ଆଜି ତୋ ଆଗେ ସ୍ୱରୂପ କହିଲି ଗୋ । ୬ ।
ବୋଲେ ବନମାଳୀ ରାଧା ବାଧା ବାଣୀ ଶୁଣି

The first time I heard it, I was simply swept with that overwhelming emotion one gets when one finds sth familiar to sth encountered long ago. Took me a bit of time to realise that the Hindustani raag chandrakauns creates the same vibe, the same swing. Also googled to find out that chandrakauns uses SgmdN and I can find these notes 6:11 onwards (but I don't know if the ga and dha here are Komal or not). Can anyone verify if it's the odissi equivalent of raag chandrakauns? And the composition is so very touching, so very sentient!

As mentioned in the title, this is the Odissi Rāga Lalitā (Lalitaa, ଲଳିତା).

@@odissimusic3308 ah yes that's why I asked if chandrakauns is the Hindustani "equivalent" of raga lalitaa, because it sounds like how chandrakauns sounds and I guess the notes used are the same (I'm not sure, because I can't identify if the ga and dha used are komala or shuddha)

@@HemantKumar-vz2up The ga and dha are indeed flat. Notes hardly make a raga, treatment does. But yes, that is the Hindustani equivalent.
