Karnataka (Carnatic) Sangeeta from Kannada Movie

Thanks Kunsas, original uploader for the video. Three different Karnatik classical songs from Kannada movie - Sandhyaraga starring Rajkumar. Songs are written by Purandara Dasa who is called "Karnataka Sangeetha Pitamaha".(Grandfather of Karnatic music). Great singers Bhimsen Joshi and Balamuralikrishna have made the Kritis richer.

Anakru was not happy with the movie it seems. In his autobiography he has mentioned that the director did not collaborate with him at all. In his novel the character lakshmana sings carnatic claasical and the movie has used hindusthani claasical songs.
The songs are marvelous anyway!!

1. Basant (not Carnatic Vasanta)
2. Desi (not Des/Desh)
