- How do i polish the carburetor.
in this video I am working on a motorcycle carburetor from my customer for polishing, the first time I used it
- 240 sandpaper
because i got a smooth surface i started at 240
- 400 sandpaper
The surface of this aluminum is very soft so I don't work much on the sanding process
-early stage of polishing
-final stage of polishing
-use a small wired drill for narrow angles

I just used Meguiars All Metal Polish. Rubbed it in with fine scotchbrite, and polished off with newspaper. (Dellorto 34mm Vhsb). It came out brilliant tbh. I was shocked. :)
I'm renovating a kdx200 atm, I've been watching a lot of polishing videos recently but your's is the first I've seen that tackles the carby. Beautiful job!
When I've finished the kawasaki I've got two Suzuki Katana s3's to do. One of them is going to get the full engine polish, including carby's:)
The other one has a gold frame and engine casings. I found some gold fork tubes too:) I might get the carbs anodized gold unless i can find a better way, I'd like them shiny👍

Great job! I was thinking about doing this on my Honda CT70. Does the carburetor tarnish quickly or stay looking nice for a decent amount of time.

Polished mine on an off-road rig that sees a lot of mud and it held its polish very well.
what brand of polishing compound would you recommend, I know you use an unbranded one but for people who need to buy some, which one is good. . .
you can buy PME, made in China, I also use it, or menzerna is also good

the polishing compound I use is not branded sir, I only get small pieces, from the former chrome factory, then I mix it

it's possible, but maybe white spots like mildew will appear after polishing, if without sanding,
As I watched you polish this carburetor, We all know your experience is way beyond ours, When you polish these items, do they need Shark skin or polish

@@bogestmw8818 obviously- I wouldn’t be looking at a “polishing a carb” video if I didn’t hate the way they look stock. But it seems like a ton of work - and I’m not as motivated as you. 🫣
