This video was exactly what I was looking for, thanks! So clear, no annoying music or fluff. Shook that you only have 5k views on this, it's very good.
Thank you. This is exactly what I wanted to know. I have two websites on Squarespace and I think I'll leave them there until I start to need features Squarespace can't do. I really like systems that just work.
Really fabulous video, so well presented. No music great pacing, beautifully informative without waffle, about a subject I know nothing about and am entirely overwhelmed by. You have saved me money and time and Im inspired to move forwards. Thank you so much form Manchester UK.
Clear and concise, well done! Thanks! So tru about WP plug-ins rarely ever “just working”. You can get some beautiful results but there is always something that needs tweaking and it gets old quick. I think I’m going to try out square space for a new client that just needs a basic information page for his business.
Learning more about Squarespace to serve more clients. Your video is great - thanks for creating this! Very simple! I will say towards the end of 2021, Wordpress upgraded it's live page editing 'Edit in UX' which works SO much better than Elementor in my opinion and you don't need an extra plugin or have to worry about it breaking.
Thank you for the well explained differences between Wordpress and Squarespace. I'm planning to start a blog on Pinterest and have zero technical, computer, software knowledge. I'm coming from the health field starting a new venture. I want a website that looks professional and cohesive, and user friendly. I've spent a lot of time this week reading blog post after blog post on Pinterest looking for recommendations on best hosting platforms and Wordpress. My head was left spinning as everyone recommends something different without much clarity. Now I have a much better understanding! Thanks again!
This was a very good review. I'm familiar with WordPress and have built beautiful websites and absolutely love the ability to customize everything but have to admit that it can be a ton of work. You're spot on about the learning curve. I might check squarespace out. Thanks 🙏
Another excellent video. I'll add one of the biggest frustrations I have with wordpress: the theme, pagebuilder, and WP itself are always fighting with each other. If I want to change colors, do I do that in the theme customizer or the elementor interface? Which one gets priority? This pops up everywhere and I feel like I have to check ten different places (and slowly load between each one) just to do the most basic things. And even then the fixes aren't universally applied. Will give Squarespace and Carrd a much closer look thanks to your videos!
@@stevebuildswebsites I remember the moment Discover Weekly played it, I was crossing the Longfellow Bridge on my way back to my Beacon Hill apartment in the middle of Boston winter. Replayed it over and over for weeks.
Thanks for nice comparison. Can Square or wordpress do stock information by checking actual stock level. Ofcourse, Square can display a msg below product saying "only 10 available". It will not same after a few orders placed. Do u have to modify msg every time the real stock level in either in squre or wordpress?
Very good and concise, thanks! I’m actually on the fence between the two but already bought a domain name and a Wordpress platform at hostinger host 😅 but I just want something quite easy even if I’m not against learning things. What about divi theme? (Which includes divi builder). Doesn’t this make Wordpress more user-friendly a bit like elementor?
IMO it makes WordPress more user-friendly - but still not as simple as Squarespace. So probably worth trying if you've already paid for Hostinger! If you do try, let mw know how it goes :)
@@stevebuildswebsites yes I’m going to try it! I’ll let you know, in the near future because I first have to think about the structure and content of the website :)) thanks for your answer!
I tried squarespace but found it difficult, can't find my way around the menus. Making websites is something special, I had fewer problems with Excel, haha
Great coverage, though still hard to choose: plan is to build a website that has plugins/integrations to build multiple choice quizzes (question bank) & mock exams (timed if possible) into the site (besides a memership area) ? This would be my selling product ! Which one should I lean towards ? Thank you !

Great video. I had trouble finding a straightforward side-by-side comparison, and this definitely met my needs.

Thanks for taking the time to say so - I really appreciate it!
WordPress is confusing but once you figure out how to navigate it is amazing. I currently like using Divi as the parent theme.

The presentation I liked the most on youtube. Delivered very well
Glad to hear it!!
The explanation was very clear and helpful. Thank you!!!😄
Hands down best review I have seen. I am curious if Square Space would let you take the domain name with you in event you want to switch platforms.

Pace and cadence of video is amazing❤
Great video, straight to the point. Keep bringing this format, thank you!
So helpful! Just the information I needed to make an informed choice! Thank you.
Glad it was useful!!
Rarely to comment but this video is great
Thank you!! 😊
This was so helpful. Exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!
Amazing comparison! Also, my mind was blown when I realized you're the same creator of one of my favorite songs ever, Circles.
Hah! No way! That's amazing. Makes my day 😊😊

Love your videos and have had a lot of value from them. Thanks so much! I’m using Squarespace for my new website now.
Just what I needed to hear!
I am new to shipping. On Squarespace, you have to enter in the measurements of your product?
Anyone know if you can make blogs on Squarespace like you can with Wordpress?
Thanks for the honest review 💗
Amazing video for start up business ❤
Nice job with this video! Really informative! Thanks.
Hey mate, what do you think of Ghost? I'm thinking of moving from WordPress. I'd love to know your thoughts.
Brilliant video ! So basically for newbies who are tech challenged, you'd recommend opting for square space then?
Yes. I do web dev so prefer WordPress for it's flexibility, but would not recommend someone who just needs a simple website "roll their own" with it.
Are both the same regarding updates?

Squarespace always wins for me!
I came for the video content...but DANG his voice is so calming. He should probably get into some kind of voice-over work.
SUCH A GOOD VIDEO!! Thanks

Excellent comparison of the two environments. Thanks for this!
Excellent comparison and to the point! Thank you!
Great video, succinct, no bullshit
Great video! Thank you. Although I had hoped for better audio coming from that C414 Mic :P Perhaps come compression will help
As a web developer that learned HTML in high school, I can say this is 100% true!
🥰 thank you
you have a voice for asmr
Not even a review, just a biased advert.
Can you be specific about what was inaccurate?
quick summary of this video: "Sorry but you don’t have much experience with making websites or understanding how it work HTML/CSS/PHP and so on...."
What?
You proved his point I think
@@mikerollin4073 😂good one!
Lets be honest squarespace is shit! something simple like just font size it doesnt have. Elementor is the best
