With an arsenal of weapons and armor, and instant-cast, long-range magic attacks that inflict ailments, the Geomancer comes to battle with a jack-of-all-trades, master-of-none approach.
In today's Job Focus we are looking at the all-natural Geomancer class. We look at how their Equipment and Stats tie in with their main Ability set, so you can craft a unique character to fulfill any role!

Geomancer is like a Shaman class in other game which can do both physical and magical attack somewhat like battlemage
my brother you are the best!!! 😎😎😎 I just got home and I found the surprise of a focus geomancer it is my top favorite class in the game and I always go to the field of magic with the samurai draw ability it is a beast, with mana shield and mp move you are really immortal thanks for this video 😄😄😄
Hi Alfredo, so happy you also love the Geomancer as much as I do! They have great skills and, like you said, can be both magic-based and take advantage of Iaido, or physical-based and just whack fools! You can really go wild in customizing to your play style, and so glad you have one in your roster as well! 🌱

The main advantage I take with Geomancy, is diving into the Deep Dungeon and visiting both Nogias and Mlapan and weathering the enemies down while grinding both LVs&JP (especially to unlock Dark Knight on PSP) on the majority of my backup characters to catch up. Considering I did 1-99 with a Ninja on Mlapan, the spells did scratch damage to the trees, which helped prolong the battle to pull it off. :)
Love the intersection between stalling enemies with Geomancy and grinding out levels!
As a side note, I am grateful they changed the names of the Deep Dungeon/Midlight Deeps levels, as those levels spelled in reverse create Napalm Saigon, which doesn't seem very sensitive or politically correct. 🤦

6:00 it’s broken. You don’t even need to learn said geomancy to use nature’s wrath, similar to auto potion. It’s a waste of time to learn situational attack abilities (throwing balls/shurikens or iaido is better for slight range), which I wish the game explained. Once you get high damage setups (which attack boost especially helps Agrias), even the squire’s counter tackle or throw stone can be formidable as low JP finishers, which is insane. First strike is way too expensive to bother, and counter is better used with lifefont, especially vs drain types like gafgarion.

I know how much you love that male Geomancer outfit, but I was thinking more along the lines of what will get more clicks so I went with the female version. 🤣

Hey Loud, thanks for checking out the episode! Couldn't agree more, though let's not discount the male Geomancer's flowing locks and a wardrobe that screams self-confidence. 🤣
It might say 25% chance of inflicting status effect but we all know better 😅
I like the geomancer they get a lot of cool points but they have some serious problems, they don't hit as hard as a serious melee job, they don't have the defense to stand on the front lines, their magic doesn't hit anywhere near as hard as a real caster, and their debuffs are not reliable at all. I want to like them but they just aren't very good.
I agree with you, they are very middle of the road kinda Job. In that sense they do lack any glaring dedicated, and with a little MA boost from gear they can be a decent unit that fills multiple roles while pestering with Geomancy.
