Peak Tom Penny was untouchable
Dylan Rieder 🌹
Yes
YEP
Damn i haven't seen anyone say Antwaun
That's a check. Got my vote ..
17:00
They say em
Skating to biggy is only capable by a a select few . But twaun was my fav
Short lived but undeniable style.
Busenitz deserves mention
My personal favourite and ray Barbie bro
They mentioned him
Appleyard and Ryan gallant should have been mentioned way earlier but like Chris said it’s subjective and depends on the era. I appreciated everyone’s perspective and now have greater appreciation for some skaters I hadn’t really been too crazy about
I'm surprised Appleyard came up so late, could just be my era but Appleyard immediately came up as top 3 in my mind
Dude I was thinking the same, appleyard was the first I thought of and I thought it would be mentioned way earlier. However like they say it’s subjective and they may have a slight bias with choosing mostly Crailtap riders first.
Appleyard agreed 👍
Cardiel and G.T skateboard correctly
1000%
Heath, Dylan, Reynolds, Romero, AVE, Rowley, David Gonzales, Arto, Grant Taylor, Marc Johnson. My favourite killing it right now is Dakota Servold.
Ronnie Creager was so light and smooth
Round 2 part.
Loved him but he was also part robot.
Brent atchley deff up there too
Atchley top 5
I was scrolling comments and waiting for them to mention Brent.
Tom Asta, Hosoi, Cardiel, Gonz, Mike V, Natas, MC, Kareem to name a few 🍻
One dude that kinda never gets mentioned enough is Kenny Hughes. Oh and Tim O'Connor as well.
Tim for sure 🍻
speaking of mysterious skaters: Brent Atchley is/ was amazing!
Gonz, Natas, Mike Vallely, Ray Barbee, Matt Hensley & many more of the OG street style skaters.
Y’all forgot Peter Smolik and Ronnie Bertino and Lavar McBride
Thank god someone else thought of Smolik
I like Steve Olsen too
This hour+ video has just flown by. I could watch you guys talk about iconic clips like these all day. Please do more like this. Spend time on individual skaters. Pick their best tricks, their most stylish, most iconic, biggest, etc… Pick your personal faves, things that may have flown under the radar or have gotten lost to time. I’m jonesing for more of this.
My personal 4 are Huf, Appleyard, MJ, and Guy
Ray Barbee
Ban This all day.
Wade, Shane, Sewa
solid list
Jason Lee, Brian Lotti, Tom Penny, Quim Cardona, Mike Carroll
''raaayyy simmonds''
When I think of good style the first person that comes to mind is always Luan Oliveira. The way he pops and flicks his tricks has always been so unreal to me. Other than him people that come to mind are people like:
- Andrew Reynolds
- Jon Dickson
- Bryan Herman
- David Gonzalez
- TJ Rogers
- Brandon Westgate
- Kyle Walker
- Leo Romero
- Trevor Colden
out of the more modern skaters, people who got famous in the last say 5-8 years:
- Patrick Praman - Trevor Colden's stunt double, his doppleganger in style
- Carl Aikens
- Miles Silvas
- Giovanni Viana
- John Bradford
- Dylan Jaeb
- Kyonosuke Yamashita
When I think of bad style the first person that comes to mind is always Luan Oliveira
To me he skates like a little kid who shows off at the park
Marc Johnson "holding the pose" one arm behind his back. I don't even have a word for it...
Time tag ?
Guy mariano for me
Furby has an amazing style.
I always loved Mike Carroll's style. He had that "I'm so good and i don't even really care" kind of style.
Street: Brad Cromer
Park: Curren Caples
Vert: Jimmy Wilkins
Mike Mo and Shane O’Neill were probably my two biggest inspirations growing up also best styles.
Honorable mentions: Gilbert Crockett, Nick Mullens, Jimmy Carlin, and Luan(so much power and conviction in his skating). Dylan Jaeb has insanely clean and beautiful skating. Busenitz is thrilling to watch. Annnnnd Josiah Gatlyn. So good. Also can’t argue with Tom Penny he’s a master.
Also VersacePlug! And Taylor Kirby…dude is so breezy. Also Bryan Herman
Kallis Tre flip over the trash can love park
Keenan Milton, Chico Brenes, Gino, MJ, Kenny Anderson, Mike Carroll, Jeron Wilson, Mike Mo, Jason Lee, Stefan Janoski, Daewon Song, Koston, Howard, Ace Pelka, list goes on and on
Brian Wenning...... habitat photosynthesis is the chillest part ever made
damn i forgot about brian. good choice!
Koston, Mullen, Kareem
Matt Hensley. Forever.
Always
Dylan Reider, Tom Penny and Hosoi🤙🏽⚡️
Lol Mark Appleyard inspired my attire throughout all four years of high school. I had a different button up for every day over a 30 day period. Without fail 😂
I think Dylan Rieder will always be my top pick for best style. He was just on another level from everyone else, an absolute rockstar. Ishod Wair would be my top of the current skaters out there.
Tom Penny, Peter Smolik, Chad Muska
Austyn Gillette, Omar Salazar, And Jamie Thomas’s style is super slept on!
Collin Provost had insane style in stay gold
To me it's probably Rowley, pretty much untouchable is his prime. Snappy, skates fast, super good flick and just all around swagger whether it's after landing a trick, pushing towards a trick, mid-grind, mid-manual, anything. His body language on the board just oozes control, calmness and stylishness while still being aggressive and gnarly. The way he pushes away after landing a trick like his life is one big line has always been one of my favorite things as well.
Smolik, Cardiel, Dylan, Antwaun, Penny
I always liked Kerry Getz's style.
Best heel flips in the game
His gluefoot was a thing to behold 👊
Those kickflip late shuvs he used to do were so 🔥
Kickflip into Love Park fountain Phili as an AM
@@MattCupan Still makes my top five kickflips of all time. Both the parts he had in Jump Off A Building are still shocking 🤙
Wade Desarmo; its not even close
Fucking finally
jose rojo, nate broussard, cromer, nate jones, danny garcia stylish as hell man so many more
Reynolds
Dylan, TNT, Caples, Oster, Cards, GT
Lance Mountain
I love when you guys ask these really vague questions, you always name every good Street skater ever
Penny, Gino, GT, PJ, Gonz.
Smolik! 🔥🔥🔥
Did anyone say Brian Wenning? That dude was sooooo smooth!
Quim Cardona, Donny Barley
Kenny Anderson has my favorite style. He never did the craziest or best tricks, but he was a joy to watch because he was so smooth.
I was obsessed with the Keenan triple set switch flip when I was younger.. such a nice clip
Hensley, Lee and Shannon May in that Order.
We want a special program about Skate and Movies, every single movie with an skate scene counts.
Police Academy 4 baby!
If you ever saw Peny IRL at his peak, there would be no discussion
Scott Johnston
Mike Carroll
Matt Hensley
Ray Barbee
Gino
Marc Johnson
Tom Penny
Karl Watson
Keith Hufnagle
I always tried to mimic Brent Atchley’s style and smoothness
Jeremy Wray
Gershon Mosley
Dan Drehobl
Jayme Fortune, Jeremy
Wray, Marc Johnson, Danny Montoya
I felt like I was Jamie Thomas and Mark Appleyard and PJ Ladd when I was younger. I tried to mimic the styles. Played Tony Hawk's Pro Skater and alot of friends would say I skated like I was in a game at the time. Miss being young
Bill Danforth haha
Silas Baxter Neal,Brent atchley,Matt Beach,Tyler bledsoe,mike chin.
Jayme Fortune and Choppy, too 🍻
Matt Miller, Brandon Westgate, Tony Tave.
This is so enjoyable to watch...Style for Days !
PJ Ladd, TJ Rogers, Kareem Campbell are the older ones that stand out. Shane Cross, Dylan Rieder and a dude I’ve had the pleasure of skating with. Henry Gartland. All gone way too soon. Tyshawn Jones is my favorite at the moment.
Hot take - I get what Kelly is saying about Gino having a touch of sketchiness, but that it actually compliments the way he skates. That guy's style is so deliberate that sometimes it looks like the board just can't keep up, even if he didn't do anything apparently wrong in his technique. Those little touches of "sketchiness" look more like the *board* f*cked up than they look like Gino did anything wrong. That's how powerful the dude's steez is. If he has to tic-tac, the board apologizes to *him* afterwards lol
Herman, Kenny Anderson, and love some aspects of Ishod and Ellington.
Peter Smolik, Brandon Turner, Danny Way, Tom Penny
If you want to know where that crispy new age style came from, where everything looks dialed in. Look at Oliveira.. that ground stare when he lands
Vert-Mike Frazier
antwuan dixon, kenny anderson, stefan janowski, wade desarmo
Kalis, Penny, Ianuchi, Welsh
Personal Favorites:
Raven Tershy
Bastion Salabanzi
Grant Taylor
Omar Salazar
John Cardiel
Pete Eldridge, Brad Cromer, Kenny Anderson, Zac Sarenceno, Grant Taylor etc
I think state style really doesn’t stick out like it does with your immediate skate group, or among your friends, you really know who has style and see it
Tom Penny...Stevie Williams...Guy Mariano...Dylan Reider...Gonz...
Wade Desarmo. No one has better style in ALL of skateboarding, past to present. I doubt the future would have anyone either. There has never been anyone to look so damn steezy on a skateboard.
I love TJ Rogers and yuto
Kevin Bradley, Donny Barley, Andy Mac, Versace Plug, Lucas Puig, Darrell Stanton
Neil Blender
Tony Trujillo
Brent Atchley, especially his part in Portland Public Skateboarding 2
Chris Miller, Steve Caballero...
stevie williams, brian wenning, fred gal
Nate Jones that you’ve mentioned is a plumber in Oakland and he comes to the company i work at for his parts!
Purely style top ten from a dude that was coming up in the early 2000s
MJ, PJ, Welsh, Kenny, Janoski, Gonz, Penny, Rowley, Kalis, Darrell
Just an FYI, a video thats over an hour long is not a "clip" lol. This is a whole video
A clip is anything clipped from an original video. Original could of been 3 hours long
@@egotgame38 tis a joke bruh .
Peter Smolik
Before watching this someone better had mentioned Kareem Campbell or Stevie Williams!!
Modern skaters: Curran and Louis Lopez. Yuto is a Penny clone (in a good way)
Wade Desarmo and Ronnie Creager
OH i remember when i got my new Carrol board and made nollie bs heelflip and nollie frontside heelflip in a line, had never landed any of those two tricks before ever, pure girl board magic
Josh Kalis, Reynolds, James Craig, Marc Johnson
Mike mo definitely had one of my favourite styles
Kareem, p-rod, actually everyone on City Stars
Trevor Colden still has amazing style
Grant Taylor
So many but Johnson and Rodgers 2 of my favs
Marc Johnson and this dude from Syracuse name Brandon
Prod all day. Silky smooth skater
Louie because theres nothing fake about it. Totally fluid and still going for it.
Bobby Worrest deserves a mention
