He did stop drinking, and that’s awesome. I’m so glad people have common sense and can see what a genius this man is, I wish I was half as talented lol
I kind of didn't get into the strokes when they were a thing but I'm here because Julian's Falsetto on their new album is AMAZING. Bizarrely angelic- def not something I expected from a "garage band"...
@Adam Wilczynski It's in the video, (the C2) there's a confusion friends: the lows starts with the highest til lowest note. The first note is the highest of his lows, no the lowest of his lows. The same with the highs, they're from the lowest til highest note. Always with the opposite first :)
You should've made the difference between chest voice, mixed and falsetto, but great video anyway. Love Julian's voice, must be my biggest influence in singing
I don't think that would be needed yet, is just one new full material, I cannot make a different video every time a new album is realased, also I'm aware his range is still the same than before there's no new range extremities or something new on his newer material
There’s a difference between auto tune and pitch correction. Autotune is the effect he uses which doesn’t change his ability to reach notes, he’s still singing the notes but they just sound robotic and cool. Pitch correction is usually unnoticeable and lots of pop singers who dance on stage use it to cover up their mess ups. I’m pretty sure he only uses auto tune for cool vocal effects and not pitch correction because he has messed up and sounded a bit rough in lots of his live shows. For example I watched a Voidz live show and his voice cracked and you can still hear it through the autotune. Hope this helps haha
Every sound you make with your voice has a frequency (Hertz) that indicates how low/high is a sound. If you do a low sound the frequency is a short number (for example A2 is 110 Hertz or something, but a high sound has a high pitch, and the frequency is a very bigger number. A C6 is 1048 Hertz or something, for example. So that number of Hertz can be measured and converted on musical notes. And that's what we're seeing here, You can pick an musical instrument and compare notes on the instrument with human voice notes, sure you will can hear it! 😀
@@hectorcheivz4113 yeah, in music the note A tuned in 440Hz Is the common reference to know exactly what note Is someone playing or singing, but there are people who say that A 440 Is an A3 and there are those who say that Is an A4, and this video confuses me about that
@@CarlosCruz-qu6mf well according most sources and ways we measure this, according to "human voices" and not according instruments or music generally, the central C, is the C4 on piano, is the same note for example first fret on the guitar second string. @@hectorcheivz4113 Hm... no its not. First is 3rd, seconds is 4th. You can check the live versions for reference (even though I think it's quite clear in the studio version)
@@ballguy1527 I'm a musician, Strokes' fan, and my singing voice is similar to Julian's, so I've being playing their songs for a while. Without falsetto I can get up to around Ab4 (if you play piano or guitar you know where that is), I think that was the case with Julian initially too, although it seems to me he has been expanding his range wonderfully through the years (I believe he's top is C5 at the moment, as the video shows). So in my case I recognize the texture of the sound of that area, although sometimes the sound produced by the mic can be misleading (that's what I think the author of the video got wrong with Hawaii, but the rest is ok). Hes so underrated as a singer. His new he sounds incredible. He must've stopped drinking.

his singing in The New Abnormal is even better

That’s cool : ) you might like the Voidz better? If you’re interested, I’d suggest starting with Virtue, the second album. Happy listening!
Definitely listen to Virtue
The Eb5 in under control is so amazing
I've found ProShot of that one
If the adults are talking was in this it would be insane like his highest note in that song is fucking crazy
So, the highest and lowest note of his career is on Angles.
The lowest is un Tyranny from The voidz
@@hectorcheivz4113 what about the new high note in the adults are talking? Would that be higher than the highest from angles?

C5 on Boombox ending
So being fr his vocal range is C2-C5 excluding falshetto?
Lou Reed + Jim Morrison= Julian Casablancas
My range is Eb2 - F#5 so this is a stronge baritone voice :) love Julien.
su voz se parece bastante a la de lou reed, supongo porque ambos son neoyorquinos xd
Ambos son ebrios fumadores xD
r u thinking of doing another updated version since there's been a new album and a few voidz releases?

Helter skelter does that.
