Of the 32 teams this season only 5 rbs were drafted in the first rd. The rb class is deep this year so id like to get another pass rusher or stud olineman and address the rb in the 2nd or 3rd round.
We can get a oline man in the 2nd or 3rd we got a offensive line man in the 1st round last year Tyler Guyton but do get where you coming from. Zack probably is gonna retire and Terrence Steele and Guyton have been struggling all season 😒
@@redtre125Rather get Kelvin Banks in the first round and then select Omarion Hampton or Kellen Johnson in the second or one of the rbs from Ohio in the third.
Looking at all the mocks, He’ll be there at 12 and it will be a match made in heaven. Dak needs a elite RB to keep the defense unsure. Another receiver won’t matter if teams are just going to focus on stopping the pass when we have no run game.
This is what I was saying at first, until I looked at the other RBs and I discovered at least 5 RBs that I really like, and most of them will be there in the second. For this reason, I don't want a RB in the first.
@@BeeCheap-uc3tc Same can be said about receivers. Only wr you take over Jeanty is McMillan. Beyond that I’m not taking Burden or Egbuka over Jeanty. I did about 15 mock draft and him and Luther burden and the shutdown corner from Michigan was there. Quarterbacks linemen and receivers was there early.
If Jeanty is available at 12, I would suggest getting him, as he would make a difference. However, wide receiver is a bigger need, so if T-Mac is available at 12, I'm going with T-Mac because of what teams did against us this season. They knew CeeDee Lamb was our only threat, so they game-planned around him, causing Dak and Rush to force-feed, which resulted in INTs or 3-and-outs. We just need another WR that's equal to or very close to CeeDee, and that would be a game changer for the Cowboys.
Spot on analysis Law, but watching this video look at his linemen he’s running threw HOLES he’s also making something out of nothing but the line is glaring. Our line does not provide the same type of options to back and when he went against a stiffer opponent in Penn state it was tough sledding. This is why I think our line has to come first. He’s a great talent but what good is he without blockers? What good is he with a play caller who don’t run?
@@Murderologist our line had Rico Dowdle averaging 7 yards a carry against Cincinnati, 4.5 and 4.4 against the eagles! 5+ against Detroit and NY, 6+ against ATL and Carolina! We had rookies and figured the line out.

But cincy- we lost eagles- lost twice Detroit- we lost- ATL- we lost That’s five loses of those five Dak was present for two and running for his life in those two one of them promoted the infamous quote “we f****** suck” the game is won in the trenches complemented by skill positions we gotta secure those trenches then maybe we don’t even need jeanty like you said Rico averaged those with a below average line.
@Murderologist this isn't a matter of opinion. These are just facts. Our run blocking get better as the season went on. The other things you mentioned aren't because our run game that got better due to run blocking getting better. Look at the grades and how they affected the run. @@josephgonzalez3491 I mean it clearly seems to be a difference in opinion because regardless of what either of us has said my whole point has been to pass on The RB and rebuild the line. Seems like your in the boat to get the skill positions vs improving the line. Am I wrong?

Almost as impressive as his speed is his power, the way he sheds tacklers much bigger than himself...Jeanty paired with Turpin and Deuce would allow Boys to introduce a Laker-style Showtime fast break offense to the NFL...cherry on top, Dak seems to thrive more in a fast-paced game as well...Ashton also would pair very well with the emerging Rico for a dynamic one-two punch at RB, a position of weakness in one stroke transformed into maybe the strongest position on the team. If he's there at 12 and Jerry doesn't take him, I'm gonna eat my TV.
As much as I want more weapons, Cowboys need to fix the defense and offensive line. You need a run stuffing defense that can make the QB uncomfortable. You can get a veteran running back like Aaron Jones or Najee Harris to pair with Rico.
If we want this player we got to move up to the 5th pick spot at number 6 the Raiders will pick him so keep it in mind. I think this would be a hot pick
Trade back to get another pick? My gut tells me in this deep RB draft, there might be an individual available later in the 1st or 2nd round who might fit the Cowboys' needs adequately, ie, Nick Singleton, Kaleb Johnson, Omarion Hampton. Gotta think about replacing Zack Martin or acquire a promising future all pro D-Tackle.
I am strongly against drafting Jeanty with the 12th pick. Dont get me wrong, he's a good player with production, so I originally was on the Jeanty bandwagon like most. That went out the window when I started watching other RBs. This RB class is LOADED!!! There will definitely be a stud RB sill there in the second. With that being said, I would take the BPA in the first, and get our RB in the second.
Look man.. i agree Jeanty is great. However, I dont think the Cowboys should draft Jeanty. Jeanty has 720 carries in the last three seasons and i’m afraid if the Cowboys draft him, the same thing will happen as it did with Zeke. Zeke’s biggest issue coming out of the draft was wear and tear and Zeke had less carries than Jeanty coming out of college.

I disagree, too many good running backs in this class. Dowdle got 1000 yards only starting half of the season. I am not going to mad if they get jeanty but I would prefer a good receiver or a defensive lineman.
