I nearly died last night in hospital from not a huge amount of speed. I've done it for years and never had a bad reaction. Now I've damaged my heart and they said I very nearly had a heart attack. They said if I had any more I could've very possibly died. I'm 21. Please be careful guys you don't realise how easy it is until it happens to you.

All derivative compounds formed by substituting one or more hydrogens to a core of amphetamine (α-Methyl-phenethylamine) are called substituted amphetamines. Ephedrine (1R,2S β-Hydroxy-N-methylamphetamine) and Pseudoephedrine (1S,2S β-Hydroxy-N-methylamphetamine) are both substituted amphetamines, because they have chemical substitutions, specifically 2 hydrogen substituents.

Dex Amphetamine in powder form eg pink champagne amongst others and a purer form known as base were always around but not crystal meth. Over the last few years though amphetamine has lost out to coke in the market place probably because there is a lot more profit in coke than speed. Take a look at government figures the drug market is changing. Another example is cannabis at one time it came in from abroad but now it’s often home grown, often literally in homes 😊

I think that's not completely true about permanent brain damage? What fact's are you using to comment use of amphetamines? Well it is true but when you're on amphetamines and feeling great you don't want to believe that fact, it's as clear as the day is long that your comment is a speed induced rant of a paragraph. I used to think supplements could prevent damage, responsible use will prevent harm and allow me to use it as a tool etc etc. Some people need a small amount of dextroamphetamine or a similar formulation to focus and that's understandable, but it is overprescribed and at dosage levels I think can cause harm. The pharma companies say this isn't proven, which is technically true but I haven't seen any studies proving it false either... Conducting reputable studies is difficult when it comes to these kinds of things. In my opinion it's blatantly obvious Adderall and related drugs are capable of causing permanent brain damage, maybe even in the range of the legally maximum prescribed dosages. If you use this substance frequently your brain will make changes to compensate for extra neurotransmitters which are irreversible in some cases ("damage"). After that has happened it doesn't matter that the chemical leaves your body like alcohol, the changes your brain made are still there whether or not the chemical is present. These changes are not reversed very easily (huge understatement) and once your brain has made them you will feel like you are going through hell if you stop taking amphetamines. It doesn't actually feel that horrible physically as long as you can stay in bed and have someone to take care of you (make you food etc), mentally there can be some pretty severe depression amongst other things but it's managable in the short-term for most cases. The real hell comes when you get to watch your entire life crumble infront of your eyes because everything you've achieved and built while using amphetamines you can no longer maintain. Like a career for example, good luck getting X amount of months off work to go through withdrawal. After withdrawal your body/brain is used to no prescence of amphetamines, but those irreversible changes didn't go away. That's when the hardest part starts, finding the motivation and energy to essentially rebuild your entire life with a reward system that's working at a fraction of the capacity it was before you started using amphetamines. There are things you can do to restore function (partially at least) and I don't think the term "irreversible" is 100% hardlined & static but the damage is done regardless. The process of getting off once you're dependant looks different for every person and depends on a lot of factors like level of use etc etc, but regardless of how it looks I can guarantee you it isn't glamorous. So in a sober frame of mind ask yourself: "Did the amphetamine actually make my brain more open to accepting new knowledge/did I actually realize anything? Is this new kowledge actually useful or is it only an insignificant, yet interesting factoid?" When it comes to methamphetamine it is just too strong to be useful, and even at the low level of use where productivity and useful ideas are possible it can just spiral out of your own control way too quickly (unless you take desoxyn... I guess). At the level of use where most people who use it are at, coherent thoughts are few & far inbetween let alone productive and useful thoughts. With dextroamphetamine and related drugs honestly it can be a useful tool and you may very well answer "yes" and "it was useful" when you ask yourself the above questions, but like pretty much everything in life you need to guage whether the risk is worth the reward in your own personal case. Hopefully you're mature enough to actually come up with a rational decision that has a positive cost/benefit ratio so you can live your best life. My 2 cents probably not something you want to fuck with and probably not something you should prescribe to a 6 year old but then again I'm no doctor lol.

@@patirck024 you don't need my permission to do it i used to do it until I got stomach pains and bone pains and went yellow in face so my liver wasn't functioning normally anymore and it took me long time to get back to healthy living and common sense that it's not worth dieing for. I was feeling cold constantly and my body wasn't able to function normally in outdoors anymore and I was constantly feeling sick.

Adderall is actually 75% dextroamphetamine salts and 25% levoamphetamine salts, not 50/50.
