For the weather outlooks for example the severe weather outlooks, ive been noticing it only includes the united states. I live in canada and I know there are things going on. I dont know why it does not show those outlooks in different countries

My question is, I noticed a lot of you that use this app for reporting weather use the single radar mode, but when I do, I don't see any weather unless I click on MRMS or HRRR. Is there something I need to activate for this? Thanks.
There are over 100 individual radar sites across the United States. The single view shows the radar of your choice. MRMS stands for multi radar multi sensor. It is what a lot of the basic weather apps use to show a composite radar of the entire country. It is a lower resolution/quality than what you will see with a single radar site. Forecast models are tools to help meteorologists forecast weather and are not a representation of actual events. Any information used by HRRR or the other models must be used in combination with other information to get a picture of what the future weather may look like in an area. For example, I am in Wichita Falls and I use KFDR radar out of Frederick Oklahoma. As it is the closest radar to my location. If you use the green map pin icon on the toolbar RadarOmega will auto select the closest radar to your location.
@@ThunderChasers Out of curiosity, when do you plan on doing that? I finally picked up Radar Omega, and there are quite a few things with the interface I'm trying to figure it out, so would rather watch the video, and then ask questions later.

@@ThunderChasers hello an thank you for replying back I use 2 apps 1 for weekly weather then i use ro for tge day of storms Last thing i need is be caught in tornado while investigating
@@ThunderChasers actually using windy app an radar omega i was able to warn my friend in armory whike back ago before their sirens sounded, told her 12 hrs before that there would be tornado an what time, then again 2 weeks ago it kept my friends safe i rescheduled investigation in franklin ky when i saw the radar, but as for me i love filming storms an do slo mo lightining vids to show ppl how they really look
Hi, can you show us storm reports in detail. I'm trying to input Hurricane Sandy in New York, which occurred 10/29/2012. For some reason, it's not working. Thank you for your videos. It definitely helps.

Yes, I see that it says 10 years in manage your subscription (Alpha) and 20 years in storm reports. I figured 20 years is too long. I do have the Alpha subscription, which is awesome. Thank you for answering my comment so fast. I appreciate it. I'm looking forward to more videos. Great job!
They need to fix the sweeper radar asap. Mine goes one time and dissapears for minutes. Its basically useless. And it should be free for the time that its up. Imdefintiely not worth 11.99/mo. Shoule be included on the alpha package hamds down.

I would hop on to the Radar Omega Facebook group and leave a recommendation there. They are usually responsive to users.

That is called MRMS. I need to do new videos with the update that changed the interface significantly.

how do you zoom out, in desktop mode? i can zoom in fine, but cant zoom out easily. had to abandon it mid chase because of it.
If you use the track pad you should be able to pinch and zoom like you do on the phone. Otherwise use the scroll wheel of a mouse.

It should be the same. But RadarOmega changed the user interface. So everything is different now.
I will have to find a way to mirror my iPhone screen to do the illustrations.

It is not free. You can buy the app with no subscription, but you do not get the advanced features.
