As a Norwegian, I am proud to see my beautiful country and its beautiful nature being displayed in such wild and raw stunning display as in this video.
it is a great video, thank you for that. I come from Slovakia and name Stevo comes from our country...Robert Pecnik too...God bless you. Beatiful sport
This is so beautiful! I can literally taste the adrenalin these guys must be kicked by while flying such kind. I'm not sure, but I guess they have to fly so nearby to the cliffs to get the upward airstream to carry them through that human-rocket party. awesome
I've "flown" these vids so many times, I know the route down now! That old bend in the road, know that, reckon I can anticipate that one and make it past in one piece.
it seems like to fly with them... just magic... thanks to the two robi for making and sharing the video ... no doubt ...the best you tube demonstration of the human flight
This is so awesome!!! I've done some skydiving, but never BASE jumping or something like this. It's insane! I love it! Very cool camera work & killer song to go with it. What's the name of the song & the artist?
That was insane! I drove a car down that road which he was flying past, back then I would never imagine that someone is actually jumping from those mauntains... BTW, whats the name of this song?
Man!! this is simply LIFE!! I just wanted to ask the same question "bucky" asked. Im 20 now, I never did any skydiving before ... but HELL YEA, I will ... is it too late or something??
D12isBad, well, I'm born in 1955 and from Norway. I lived near The Troll Wall for several years. Last year we had a rock slide there. In Norwegian the rock is called "gneis" and it's very unstable. Even if you're a good base jumper you rish being killed by a slide. You should rather visit the Kjerag.
Did that guy dies when he flew into the clouds? Totally mind blowing video, those wing suits are getting better all the time. Just a matter of time before someone actually lands one, ived heared Jeb Korlis is trying. Live life guys!
There is only one feeling better than skydiving with a wing suite - building your own computer. Imagine the advanced circuitry computing your processing desires and creating a PC in your own image - as if you were God. Nothing comes close to building and owning your own computer.
Yes, and I´d would encourage You to pls google wingsuit norway and his nowadays partner Phoenix inc, but they are now competitiors with each other. Long live Stevo! R.I.P.
@imtxsmoke They don`t move horizontally their fall is just slower and because they are moving in front as well, it creates the sense to you that they are moving horizontally, but yea indeed it`s amazing stuff and balls made of steal.
Bloody awesome. What kind of glide ratio do you get and can you buy the suits or do you have to make your own, if so where can i get plans. Is there a school as such to learn to fly?

The problem with the Troll Wall is that it's NOT solid rock. You wouldn't let people drive on a road which could brake down any minute. If you want to go flying in Norway, visit the Kjerag. People should respect the law. Jumping from the Troll Wall was made illegal by the authorities in 1986. If you wonder why, read more about the Troll Wall on Wikipedia.
The Birdman wingsuit company has training sessions (you can search for their adverts, on Google). Also I'm not too sure that wingsuits can just be picked up and used. At least one company has people start off with smaller wingsuits, and people go for larger ones,as they get better. In any case, I am sure the companies have god reason for saying you need at least 200 skydives before you pick up a wingsuit.
i love extreme sports but hate rollercoasters only cos im not in control of them if i was i'd be fine but stuff like this doesnt make me feel anything bad just great so wanna do it !!
But the wingsuit doesn't have aitplane wings with the curved surface, so you can't fly. It gives you more time in the air and you get more control. Try it out sometime and you will know what i'm talking about ;)
So, guys, is Bridge Day (I forgot if it was held in Connecticut, or in West Vigina) no longer held, then? Also, I know that wingsuits are done in the US, just that I do not know where in the US they are popular. Does anyone here know where, in the US, you can even train for them?
No, not at all. Wing suits have, well, wings. I don't feel like explaining Bernoulli's Principle, but in short when you have air going over a curved surface, the reduction in pressure due to air going faster over the wing than air under the wing literally sucks the wing up. As long as you have the speed to get air over your wings, you get lift. Base jumpers fall to get the speed, and glide around after they get enough. Planes get the speed they need from turbines or push the air with propellers.
Very technical stuff here , the "valley" swoops here must be flown center or die..I'd say Stevo did more living as a parachutist than 99% of people that were ever born.
Actually, it's pretty damn easy. How do you think airplanes do it? With their wings. As long as you have some sort of lift, you can do it. Just point yourself up. Take a remote control airplane, and fly it at high speed along the ground. Then make it go up. There's no rocket pushing it up, but it goes up with ease. It then stalls, having lost all of its speed. I don't know why we don't see any videos of it, but seeing as how they are alive to post it on youtube...
ok geek squad, i'm just saying, anyone can use a computer, but only a handful of people have ever jumped like this...if i mess up a computer it can be fixed...these guys dont have much room for error...not that i've ever done it.
I don't know who Stevo was, but my guess is that he was the guy who flew into the fog, cause that is a really dumb idea. You kids don't try this at home.
its like saying a flying squirell could swoop up into a tree top. its a controlled fall. most ppl get what, a 3:1 glide ratio? pretty good but its not "flying".
As a Norwegian, I am proud to see my beautiful country and its beautiful nature being displayed in such wild and raw stunning display as in this video.

AWESOME VIDEO. By the way, for those asking, the track is Quicksilver by Mike Oldfield from the album Light + Shade. Peace!
This must be the ultimate feeling!
because its one of the heavyest tricks of base jumping.
you must train for years to do that
i'm doing this before I die! Awesome vid
That was insane! I drove a car down that road which he was flying past, back then I would never imagine that someone is actually jumping from those mauntains...
BTW, whats the name of this song?
terrific...just a beautiful flight..
Oh to be young, athletic, disciplined, and have gonads the size these guys do. WOW.
way to go my Croatian brother:)
Man!! this is simply LIFE!!
I just wanted to ask the same question "bucky" asked. Im 20 now, I never did any skydiving before ... but HELL YEA, I will ... is it too late or something??
The song is called Quicksilver and it's by Mike Oldfield.
BIG RESPECT...amazing.

That is an amazing video, had to watch it several times.

i like em so much i like to experience this my self but due to the shot life i thing i just kick back and the video lol
awsome! can u make the wing suit any larter?
Bloody awesome. What kind of glide ratio do you get and can you buy the suits or do you have to make your own, if so where can i get plans. Is there a school as such to learn to fly?
Sorry Gladki007, I didn´t knew. I hope to have the courage to flight like you people...

i love extreme sports but hate rollercoasters only cos im not in control of them if i was i'd be fine but stuff like this doesnt make me feel anything bad just great so wanna do it !!
they use a parachute. So basically, wingsuiting is just like skydiving, except you fly/glide, you dont fall
Are those special wing suits
the wings themselves seem a whole lot wider
hats off to guys with the nerve to do this stuff,... but does one need an IFR to base jump into zero visibility weather or just a death wish?
It just goes to show you... make sure there are no clouds so you can see and don't smash into a mountain. RIP Stevo
He died doing exactly the same thing as in the movie, lost control of wingsuit really close to the wall and impacted in to it.
But the wingsuit doesn't have aitplane wings with the curved surface, so you can't fly. It gives you more time in the air and you get more control. Try it out sometime and you will know what i'm talking about ;)

jai beau avoir le vertige ca me donne envie, cest impressionnant et superbe
what happens after you fly into the cloud? :/
rest in pieces Stevo...

Me too.
who is Phoenix-Flys lead engineer 5krif?
Sorry, I meant "good reason for saying you need at least 200 skydives before you pick up a wingsuit."
tell that to jeb corliss, he'll be the first to successfully land a wingsuit.
@lucywaters1- Mike Oldfield - Quicksilver
Holy hell.
Rest in peace Stevo...
what music ist this?
I'm from norway!
Very technical stuff here , the "valley" swoops here must be flown center or die..I'd say Stevo did more living as a parachutist than 99% of people that were ever born.
What happened to the guy we just saw fly into the fog...did he die?
How the hell do you glide so long with balls that big? They must weigh you down!
The wingsuit doesn't got curved surface on it's "wings"
what happened to Stevo????
What's the glide ratio?
ive heard 3:1....but i dont know. you buy the suits, check out "pheonix fly"
Actually, it's pretty damn easy. How do you think airplanes do it? With their wings. As long as you have some sort of lift, you can do it. Just point yourself up.

how much does one of these suits cost? And where can I do it (Michigan area)?
wspaniałe :-)
i'm lucky cause my dad is taking me sky diving on october 1 his birthday too.
the first spot trollwand
if just jumping in parachute its a feeling without comparition think about this!!!
Is this Trollstigen?
ok geek squad, i'm just saying, anyone can use a computer, but only a handful of people have ever jumped like this...if i mess up a computer it can be fixed...these guys dont have much room for error...not that i've ever done it.
Simple; when you go up, you lose all of that speed. Simply go up a hill, and land at the top.
I don't know who Stevo was, but my guess is that he was the guy who flew into the fog, cause that is a really dumb idea. You kids don't try this at home.
syevo cest un mec mort en faisant ca?is he a swuitwing accident death?
What Norway mountains is this filmed in?
i thought that guitar sounded familiar.
3 feet forward to 1 foot down.
if they could just gain altitude then humans could fly =O what a scary thought
its like saying a flying squirell could swoop up into a tree top. its a controlled fall. most ppl get what, a 3:1 glide ratio? pretty good but its not "flying".
Yeah, looks like Stevo wasn't as lucky.
