…sorry end of the road fate to have met for what was a 67 years old rare survivor 1956 Lincoln Premier after having endured largely intact for nearly 7 decades …looks like that top of line 1956 Lincoln Premier had salvageable body panels, window glass, headlight & tail light assemblies & many recoverable exterior / interior trim pieces …interestingly it was also a factory AC equipped car with the rear AC plastic tubes & exterior AC air intakes on the quarter panels …these 1956 Lincolns were nicely styled & detailed & this largely still intact example really should not have ended up where / how it did …this car easily had real value as a parts donor car with parts $$$ potential & truly deserved a better endfate …thanks for making / taking the time to make & show this vid CCC …you did good by doing so CCC👍
Hey Cowboy, it is always sad to see the classics go, but work is work. Too bad about the Lincoln, it had factory A/C. Those clear plastic ducts coming up from the parcel shelf to the roof by the C-pillars are a rare part for folks to find when restoring these cars. They are one of those unobtanium parts. The A/C unit itself in the trunk is a not too common part. The plumbing for the whole system is really something to see. Must have used quite a few pounds of refrigerant!
I know you can't do it, but you should have gotten those hubcaps. Believe it or not , they're worth a good amount of money. Somebody could have restored them.
That 59 Chevy 4 door hardtop was way to far gone to save but the 56 Lincoln has lots of good rare parts that are very hard to come by including the ai conditioning and guage cluster.
I hear what you mean, Cowboy! That rust getting crushed in old relics like that sure sounds different! Modern cars don't have anywhere near as much rust in them!😂😊👍
Ford F Series remnants getting tossed onto the crusher. Classic Chevrolet Belair (crushed on screen) getting prepped to be crushed. Rare 1956 Lincoln Premier (crushed on screen) getting prepped to be crushed. "Doesn't belong in there does it? It belongs in someone's garage." Man, it doesn't belong in that state. *salutes the car as it is crushed* 3 cars crushed, all classics. 2,704 is the total tally.
Wish I could find cars like that here. I wouldn’t hesitate to pay $1,000+ for something like that. Trunk would bring $1200 easy for a couch and another $500 for the nose.
Looks like someone had his good share of fun banging the Bel Air before crushing it for good!! That Lincoln was complete, badges and all!! It's a real criime nobody saw and rescued it 😥 Anyway, it was SO exciting watching both cars getting crushed!! Do you get some extra emotion when you smash these 50s classics? Cheers!
@@CowboyCarCrushing I understand your point, I could imagine that your boss would be very angry if you sold a junk car for the four or five thousand dollars that it would have brought him 😁
OH MAN ! ! ! That was hard to watch the Lincoln getting crushed. I am not a car rebuilder, but man it looked like there was so many usable parts from bumper to bumper to include the bumpers! That curved windshield! waa, waa, waaaaaaaa!
Crazy how short-sighted the yards that crush this stuff is. Not much rust relative to rust belt cars, coudl make more money with just a little bit more legwork selling as projects or parts cars. But nope, scrap scrap scrap value because it is easier. Losing money in the long run.
Always brings a tear to my eye to see those classics get flattened, but its something I can't look away from. In a way its paying homage to the car and its past watching the materials that made up the car enter a new chapter in its existence.
@@CowboyCarCrushing we have a few classic land rovers in the yard, there is plenty out there. I have seen a Thorneycroft J being restored, from a chassis with engine out of a mine hoist house to fully restored. In order to save 1, 5 others are sacrificed for that. We have 2x 101fc ambulances ready to be worked on at the minute, parts collecting is 10 years plus now.
I can understand crushing them when they look like the Chevy. Very gone. But that Lincoln still had all four hubcaps and both fender skirts. Should have saved em. Great video.
@@CowboyCarCrushing mario is a lot smarter than you. Look and see what that set goes for. Not what they are asking, what people are paying. And you saved the little cans.😂
Cowboy take a hacksaw blade and to get those little badges off the side just run that hacksaw blade between the car body and that badge and every time you'll get it off That's how the body people do it at the body shop every time you'll get it off as a perfect ordeal especially like that Chevy that you crushed or something looking at one at 7 months ago
Dang i would have loved to have that Lincoln. That was top of the line back then. Wish it was saved or parted out good. Lots of money on that one with hard to find parts. The other car was a 1959 chevy and few parts left but in bad shape. Was hard to watch them crushed.
Anytime you can save them badges it's good this is a video that you got the Quaker State can at That's money in the bank right there that probably $20 for that can
Too bad those Lincoln hubcaps didn't have the giant brass star on them, I found 2 back in the 80's & quickly sold them for a hundred dollars back then, when a hundred dollars was alot 😄 as for regular hubcaps, they should be scrapping them as stainless steel scrap as the older ones are the good stainless steel & fetch good scrap metal money in bulk ,....they also sell good at car meets & swaps or online for many older vehicles, even way back when, we scrapped all the crappy banged up ones as stainless scrap & the good ones sold off
It's one of those yards that pulls wires & radiators....but then wants to crush a aluminum trailer with the scrap steel....they better off scraping it as aluminum breakage whole ,hell turn it upside down & fill it with aluminum & sell it all as scrap aluminum like a dumpster 😄
Really surprised that yous don't have a salvage person. Saving the original bumpers or window shield/rear window or even some of the trim. Just a suggestion. I watch other channels where restoration of these old beauties need such parts are unavailable.. Then they need to find someone to do a custom built. The only time any one will ever see this beauties in all their glory ..... at classic car show or on display in a collection. Just sad to watch era of history being erased.
I pick up scrap metal, like broken stoves ,washing machines ect...currently it pays 7.7 cents a pound, price fluctuates, at the yard, there's so much waste, perfectly good file cabinets, auto parts, ect..all to be crushed

That Bel Air looks like 1959 to me. The Lincoln Premier was the height of luxury in 1956.
Correct! 59 for sure.

Why you don’t save some parts of the old Cars. They are so rare
I'm not set up like that. I don't have anywhere to store stuff until it sells
That Lincoln has been the only car you crushed that hurt my feelings.🥺
I know you told the yard owner to put something outside the fence, this Lincoln would have been ideal for that.
I think he is out classic parts now 🤣🤠👍
Those Lincoln premieres make good derby cars. Was hoping someone would have grabbed it.
Tell me those Lincoln hub caps were sitting on the crusher and not still in the car. Those are some cool caps.
Mario got him.
