The guy on the right seems like he wants to be James Hetfield 'cause he has an Explorer and he played Metallica. The guy on the left seems like he wants to be Dimebag Darrell 'cause of his guitar and he played Pantera.
lol yea, the old racing saying goes well with this, "its not how fast you drive, its how you drive fast." he can play fast and do some tough techniques but it just sounds sloppy. :/ Crowd likes it but, like craftsman, take some pride in your work and don't settle for mediocre performance.
GarySandStorm Basically. The sound is greater with the dude with the half stack(obviously) and the audience just thinks he is better, although it's just that he sounds better.
eZiN Prodigy Doesn't that kinda sting a little when you dump on a couple of kids...then have to come crawling back because you spelled a word wrong? A person with a reasonable IQ would've edited, or deleted then re-posted his comment. You know, so you don't end up looking like a complete idiot.
mrdrprofessorGAMER I didn't say he was childish, I said his comments made him look like a complete idiot. He criticized people for cheering for a couple of kids because they're not on par with Zakk Wylde. If you think he was right for saying that, then you're a complete idiot as well.
Why is it always who can solo the fastest? Why is it never who can write the coolest song? That's an infinitely more important and impressive (and difficult) skill, if you ask me.
Well the guy on the right never came up with anything, he just played riffs that were already written. The guy on the left, however, played basically entirely on improvisational skills.
You, know what? I give mad props to guy on the right. I played in the band version of him. Small amps, second hand drums, no monitors, etc. We took stage as the only other band opposite the band version of the kid on the left. Our attitude? Fuck all! We went out, did our shit, zero fucks given. Good for him getting up and doing his thing. What's more metal than that?
foxdogjake I agree. I kinda felt for the guy on the right. I have a really nice setup that is tweaked how I like it, and I doubt it would work for anyone else. But it sucks to be out of your element with a little shitty practice amp. Even his guitar looked like a copy compared to the other dude's Dime Signature. Not knocking either - I actually applaud them both. But I would only be competitive with my own rig. And I wouldn't want to lug that to school. One of them did apparently, so +1 for getting the upper hand. But with a whammy pedal, it isn't that hard to get all those squeals and stuff.
foxdogjake The amp has nothing to do with the talent.... I'd bet the guy who kicked ass could kick ass just as well if they swapped guitars and amps right there.... The equipment can help, but it is no substitute for talent.
***** ok the point is, he could paint better than you with that wall brush, even if you had the proper one. skill has nothing to do with equipment... you don't get better at guitar by purchasing a better amp. it just doesn't work that way. the kid on the left has clearly been playing for many more years than the one on the right.
Who won?....No serious, the louder amplification speaker fellow was a mock of albums that I had already hear all me life....the other seemed to have a original style and presented rhythms that I had never hear, but were catchy....
Explorer dude was just playing a mish-mash of what he knew, featuring snippets from: Metallica - Anaethesia (Pulling Teeth) Dethklok - Thunderhorse Metallica - One (really quite poorly) John Carpenter - Halloween. Dean ML guy was going for similar ideas but executed at a higher standard. You can tell in their tone and style, though, that they're heavily influenced by Dimebag; even with a nod to Hendrix's take on The Star-Spangled Banner at the end

Calvin Dancil well dime always used to say never play by the book so its whatever to me haha
at least he aspires to be a good guitarist. I wasn't commenting on his skill or originality, just pointing out that he played one my favorite pantera songs
Calvin Dancil same, it was pretty cool he knew it
That first guy was playing anesthesia pulling teeth so.i respect him
Impressive on bass.. not on guitar
@@adamgriffith-smith9106 so guitarists can't ever play any mozart or Bach without losing respect?
3:52 metallica - one solo lol
that wasn't even .25
IBRVEF is easy that solo
The other kid played the outro to floods by pantera
though it may have ben one's solo... it was worth 0.
if i had a small loan of a million dollars for every pixel, id have $23.78
hahahahahahahahahahahaha
+Sam Wright You took an old turd and shined it up, I giggled.
HILARIOUS AND ORIGINAL
+Sam Wright why would you need a loan for pixels, you silly goose you
lidlnutz i think you misunderstood me
recorded with a Cuisinart toaster
Uploaded before you were born
+Ugly Ass (Nigga) lol, probably
This shit is from 8 years ago.
old1986 top loader vhs weighed about 50 pounds..lol
lmao
This is still so hilarious how the one kid has such a tiny little amp and the other guy brought a 4X12 half stack
Was it a potato or a calculator used to record this?
koffincreep shadowthecannibal a vacuum cleaner
Edgiest profile pic ever my dude.
A cellphone
A guitar tuner
A sock
Poor guy on the right couldn't even afford sleeves :(
Yeah but...the guy on the left couldn't even afford a proper pair of pants.
+Jacking off-men Or a haircut.
+Jacking off-men And the person who recorded this could barely afford the potato he used to record this.
+Juan Pablo Rivera Long hair doesn't affect you in any way.
+geese man it's not a Flying V, it's a dime bat Darrell model dean guitar. Just sayin :)
If you came to hear guitar, be forewarned it's mostly people screaming over it.
hahaha
I can't fucking see guitar never mind hear it
and i thank you sir
Its shitty guitar playing anyways
Yeah, I hate it. I hate it at concerts ( which is why I'll never go to one. ) I want to hear music. Not a bunch of idiots screaming and acting like fools.
please, no one got owned.
that's what I'm saying !!!! somebody just being bias
Nah……there was total ownage here. Guy with the dean guitar got street cred & blowies from the hot chicks for the rest of his high school tenure.
Nerd boy needed therapy after this cuz he got humiliated
The guy on the left definitely has all the metal cleche’s and stances down, that’s for sure.
Only reply to this comment thread if you're a confirmed homosexual.
To see if you would watch.
Must be a low SAT scoring person (republican). Seek better UA-cam topics.
T Bone oh wow, you sure showed those evil republicans a thing or two with that comment. There's no way anyone could vote drumpf over your big business owned dragon and her child rapist husband after read it.
Richard Balls - whoa, a real life, SAT challenged, W2 challenged FoxNew viewer everybody....lets play with him....I never get to interact with them- I dont talk to the help at the club...Hi Rich- why do you hate blacks?
Apparently same for me. UA-cam clearly knows me better than I even know myself.
Never challenge a dude with longer hair than you.
trueeeeee
Or a guy with amps 12 times the size of yours.
Or a guy with a better guitar
+Your Password Is Incorrect
that's not a good point..
LOL
Guy in the right did the Thunderhorse riff from dethklok that's massive props but I saw that his wind kinda got taken away when he heard the other dudes equipment it's hard to come back when you're embarrassed
The guy on the right seems like he wants to be James Hetfield 'cause he has an Explorer and he played Metallica. The guy on the left seems like he wants to be Dimebag Darrell 'cause of his guitar and he played Pantera.
Which pixel was the guitar
nice
The 8th pixel
Toni De Cavalcante oh shit lmfao
How funny. This was shot on a phone from 2008 and it’s not like every one is saying stuff about the quality.YOU sir/madam are SO funny
I think the blue one.
Master Shredder over there showed no mercy to his classmate... But why would Google recommend this to me?
lmfaoooo
exactly what I wondering
i love watching these random recommended videos, shake things up a bit
'Master Shredder showed no mercy...' Love that... why is this not top comment!!
I got videos like "How to detect a pedo" and "Miracle medicine for diabetes", recommended.
I mean, what a fuck?
Hell naw im not letting this GEM 💎 die. Im back baby 😂
Both are a couple of showoffs--How well can they play with others?
That's kinda the whole point of a talent show. To SHOW off your TALENT. you fuckin egghead.
@@Nathaniel_The_Evil_One Well said
@@Nathaniel_The_Evil_One 😂
@@Nathaniel_The_Evil_One They didn't have a lot of talent.
Lmao. Someone is jealous of their playing.
8 bit guitar war
so what model toaster did you film this with?
that would get top comment... in the golden age of youtube
Hopefully the Bravest Little Toaster.
***** Stop lying, it was filmed on a tampax pearl.
***** lmao made my day..
I've seen worse
2:35 sounds like the floods outro by Pantera.
it is
See yourself out the chat log banned for 1 year go, I said go
4:10 WHAT ARE THOSE BENDS MATEEEEE
Yawnnnnnn ;-o
Give 'em both an acoustic and they would be lost.
+jimmy5634 lol exactly their bullshit was so trash u wudve heard all the mistakes and non squeals from this shit show.
***** they dont understand to get good in melodies u play ur electric on accuoustic so u can get it right.
+jimmy5634 A tuner would be a good start.
that is the ultimate test. that's why Randy Rhodes wanted to go back to classical guitar. that is a quote from his mom. God rest both of them :-(
Yes, give them both an acoustic so everyone will have to strain their ears to hear them.
The first guy played a bass solo on a guitar. Wow.
taxidermy shame on him
seen better quality on bootslegs from the 70's and 80's
Metallica covers never get owned
If you ask me, it's all pretty cringy.
That's because this was before your time.
***** I highly doubt it, and I listen to a lot of older rock, but this is just a bunch of trashy people cheering for two guitar solos? Come on...
Dethklok and Lamb of God aren't before anyone's time
ContactingTheDead for to days kids i would say that that's good.
+James Weatherford nope. They both suck at guitar.
I think this title should be called "How to play shitty guitar - LIVE filmed with a potato"
is that the Canon HDR potato ?
lol yea, the old racing saying goes well with this, "its not how fast you drive, its how you drive fast." he can play fast and do some tough techniques but it just sounds sloppy. :/ Crowd likes it but, like craftsman, take some pride in your work and don't settle for mediocre performance.
GarySandStorm Basically. The sound is greater with the dude with the half stack(obviously) and the audience just thinks he is better, although it's just that he sounds better.
With a potato hahahahahahahaahahaha im fucking dying over here hahahahahahahahahahahahahah hahahahahahaha
LOL you really made me laugh. But you have to admit those harmonics were badass
This is some great pixel art! Looking forward to seeing more!
Guy:
Crowd Explodes
I bet NOBODEY in the audience has even heard a real guitar solo if their cheering for this crap
Lol i spelled Nobody wrong
eZiN Prodigy
Doesn't that kinda sting a little when you dump on a couple of kids...then have to come crawling back because you spelled a word wrong? A person with a reasonable IQ would've edited, or deleted then re-posted his comment. You know, so you don't end up looking like a complete idiot.
eZiN Prodigy jelly bra cause u cant play guitar like that.. ay at least he has skill
Steve Brown I hate to say it, as childish as you think he is. He has a point though.
mrdrprofessorGAMER I didn't say he was childish, I said his comments made him look like a complete idiot. He criticized people for cheering for a couple of kids because they're not on par with Zakk Wylde. If you think he was right for saying that, then you're a complete idiot as well.
144p haha So it looks like the battle is between the white pixel on the left and the black pixel on the right
Hahahahaha, ahhh, thanks for the laugh!
What an original joke.
Jc333 I've never heard it before so to me it is original.
Jc333 It actually is pretty original.
Baphomet Yea if you`re 12 years old. I`ve seen that youtube joke around youtube since 2005.
Who's watching this in 2020 lol I don't even know how I ended here
This video just needed bevis and butthead in the background to be perfect 😂😂
poor guy even his amplifier lost
Why is it always who can solo the fastest? Why is it never who can write the coolest song? That's an infinitely more important and impressive (and difficult) skill, if you ask me.
because in metal, faster solo's are better.
B Scales Guitar that and he's got the hair flip...
Well the guy on the right never came up with anything, he just played riffs that were already written. The guy on the left, however, played basically entirely on improvisational skills.
Khai Uchiha guy on the left played some lamb of god riffs and tremolo picked about five notes. That being said his dive bombs were cool
Silly Charley, it is the guy with the biggest speakers.
The cab dude is clearly more of a showman, I don't think theres any question why people found him more impressive.
How about they use the same amp to make it fair
***** The same amp. What did you not get? I can try to draw it for you. Hold my beer
foxdogjake I agree.
The equipment can help, but it is no substitute for talent.
foxdogjake how about you pick up michelangelo's paint brush and paint the sistine chapel...
***** ok the point is, he could paint better than you with that wall brush, even if you had the proper one. skill has nothing to do with equipment... you don't get better at guitar by purchasing a better amp. it just doesn't work that way. the kid on the left has clearly been playing for many more years than the one on the right.
how did I get here I was watching chocolate rain
I was watching the ducks song while listening to Trolololololo getting Rick Rolled with my cat videos on USENET
I was watching star wars stuff
I was watchin a sex documentary
i was looking in the mirror.
usually watching chocolate rain isn't the starting point.
Who won?....No serious, the louder amplification speaker fellow was a mock of
albums that I had already hear all me life....the other seemed to have a original
style and presented rhythms that I had never hear, but were catchy....
Explorer dude was just playing a mish-mash of what he knew, featuring snippets from:
Metallica - Anaethesia (Pulling Teeth)
Dethklok - Thunderhorse
Metallica - One (really quite poorly)
John Carpenter - Halloween.
Dean ML guy was going for similar ideas but executed at a higher standard. You can tell in their tone and style, though, that they're heavily influenced by Dimebag; even with a nod to Hendrix's take on The Star-Spangled Banner at the end
Props for the guy for trying and showing what he's got
They both rock 🤘
ya and the difference in the amps had nothing to do with it...lol....
oakenshanks a 12 inch practice amp vs.. a half stack....
oakenshanks oh my bad, an 8 inch practice amp
oakenshanks The amps would have made all the difference :P
The guy on the left is sloppy, I'd be shocked if he could play in time with a band. Granted I think many of us were like that back in high school lol.
oakenshanks most of the earths population doesn't have an ear for music. If it's louder it's better...for them
Why is he playing Anesthesia, a bass solo, ON A GUITAR!!!! I'M OUTRAGED!!!!
Ikr
I literally thought the same thing I was pissed at that because I actually learned most of that on Bass
I have no idea what the fuck Anesthesia is, cause i'm a loser, but which one played it, so I can make fun of theme.
The first guy played it. On a guitar...it's a bass solo, see why I'm outraged?
Yeah, if you are gonna do a guitar off, don't play a fucking bass solo!
I would jam with the kid with the toaster, he could probably play a whole song well, the kid with the stack learned how to make some cool sounds.
M O'Brien i the the guy filming is also using a toaster
😀
Damn after like 9 yrs I just realized the 2nd kid was trying to play the Hourglass riff lollllll
