My husband and I got married when we were 20 and we have been married for 23 years. My sister has been with her husband for 26 years, my brother has been with his wife for 30 years. My husbands parents have been married for 50 years. His sister has been married for 35 years, his brother has been married for 29 years. My parents were married 23 years til my dad passed away. We are all Christian and view marriage as sacred. Marriage is hard, and takes work. In my opinion people that get divorced don’t put the work in and are selfish. All my family members and my husband’s family, are not perfect but they put in the work and are dedicated. We all love each other even though sometimes we fight amongst each other.

I think women actually care more about status than money because status is harder to attain, so if they could choose between a handsome millionaire nobody or a handsome UA-camr who has 1 mil subs on UA-cam, 250k instagram followers etc but not broke 1 mil in the bank as of yet, she’s more than likely go for the “influencer” type even if he’s making less. I think this is because if she got with him, she’d know that there are plenty more people that would see she managed to get him and that boosts her own popularity within the world rather than finding a guy just with money and having a quiet life enjoying his money whilst building the family. Weddings used to allow women to show off how high value their man was to their whole family and some of the town, but these days with social media, women realise they can acquire a high value man who has status and show him off to the whole world.

This podcast sums up a lot of struggles I have heard of and had in dating since the 2010s. Thus was a fantastic show and explains a lot about the dating market and the state of the world today. Hats off to all of you.

She’s stupid as hell regarding divorce. Filing for divorce after 3 years of praying with all my might for a husband that cheated on me, was living with another woman, and then cheated on her, and never spoke to his children again was the hardest and most painful experience. It still hurts years later. She has no idea what she’s talking about. Sometimes you have to go through some pain before you can have compassion for others. She will find out.
I don't want to be the bad person, but just out of curiosity: Before you married your husband, did you not see the red flags? I mean, I'm assuming that you dated your husband for a couple of months or even a year before getting married. Call me crazy, but based on my understanding of people, people don't just cheat out of the blue. Either the person has always been a cheater yet you still married or get into a serious relationship with them because you were hoping they will change, or you did something that triggered that person to cheat. That's like me decided to have a lion as a pet and then getting shocked and sad when the lion bit me one day. The math ain't mathing.
