YES! Awesome video help me out a lot!!! I have two Xinmotek controllers. Weird thing is I just had to setup one controller and the 2nd player is working as well. Don't know if it supposed to be like that. I figured I had to setup the 2nd player controller in steam too.
If you have an IPAC based system or bluetooth controllers then, yes it would. I do go through a small setup process so I can control the order of the joysticks to ensure consistency across emulators.
No, the longest part is setting up the Steam integration. Once that's done, you just start the import wizard and click the checkbox on the games you want to import.

None of my Ultimarc Ultimate IO or U360 sticks are recognized on Steam. Are yu using an XBox Adapter or running XBOX emulator ?
I use an xinput emulator which emulates the keyboard controls of an IPAC into xbox controllers.
