Met the owner and saw the Boomerang in Monterey. He found it in Barcelona and had a restored and took it back to Switzerland. I believe it has resold since. The owner, at the time, had a briefcase with about 20 models of the car displayed on one side. I spent months trying to find a model of the boomerang in the US, UK and Europe with no luck. She is one of one and is just stupendous as well as still futuristic looking. Way ahead of its time!
I like these types of design language, old school and feeling more mature. The Ferrari 308gt rainbow really captured the intergalactic racecar theme with the square shape and the wheelhouse design covering the back wheels on it.
Real Reacher MED - I didn’t know that Dangermouse was shown across the pond! Also, I only found out last year that the voice of Hong Kong Phooey was the guy who played Mr Halloran, the chef from The Shining!
Back in the early eighties I had a 1976 Triumph TR7 (actually 2--one to drive, 1 for parts). Typical British high maintenance but MAN what a blast in the mountains!!
Good video.. Each item done as in usual Minds Eye Design fashion.. catchy intro, Great visuals & a minimum of information. Probably a reflection of the short attention span of the mass of today's viewers, but for those of us who have the patience to want (&wait) for more.....
At school in the 70’s I was a member of the ‘Science Club’ and as a treat the CEGB (Central Electricity Generating Board) brought along ‘the car of the future’ to show off to us. It was (drum roll please) an Enfield 8000!
I've watched a couple of these Videos with concept cars from the 70's and 80's.... no mention of Franco Sbarro. He had some of the craziest concepts, like the hub-less wheel...
Keep up the great work. Also your triva car was a Ford Pinto. Pinto was my first car. Not the wagon. My cousin had a wagon like that. With a little round window on the sides towards the top corner.
So, all a car company has to is combine all of those cars into one, economical, easy to drive product. Kept thinking Back To The Future while seeing these rides!!
I’ve seen pictures of the Dale for a few decades but somehow never noticed the taillights. They look exactly like the ones that adorned my 70 Pontiac Firebird. Neat.
I've seen the Monteverdi Hai in person, and I loved it. I also saw the BMW Turbo, and the front is cool, the rear not so much. But when I saw the Ferrari Modulo I was stunned. It is definitely the wildest, most impracrical car I have ever seen.
Part of me kind of want the styling of the 2020's to be streamlined wedge shaped cars like the Cybertruck and some of these concept cars. Don't know if it will look good, but i guess anything will be better than the super aggressive cars we have right now.
Thank you! I'm also really tired of the abundance of overly aggressive, semi-rounded, edgy car designs in the 2010s that have headlights so small that it's hard to fathom how they even properly illuminate the road.
AND THE CORRECT ANSWER TO THE TRIVIA IS: It's a 1978 Ford Fiesta Van by Ford of Europe! It may have shared some parts from a 3-door Ford Pinto, but it's not named after the Pinto.
Love most of those Italian designed cars (especially the Ferrari Modulo), although I preferred what the original Stratos design evolved into for rallying than that concept-car shown! The colour of this Lancia concept made the car look like a chocolate that had softened in the sun!
4:32 The Skoda Super Sport was later redesigned, for a film, and in the later form is known as Skoda Ferat, after the rally car from the film 'Upir z Feratu' (Vampire of Ferat) , that was killing people to use their blood as fuel xD.
Kar a sutra was a crude joke which thankfully didn't made to the production, by watching the video I realized rear mid mounted engine cars are best performance oriented fuel efficient cars even a small capacity engine can do the job.
The trivia car is a Ford Pinto Delivery Wagon. Some of them were dressed up to match their Econline Shaggen Wagon. Chevrolet had the Vega Panel that came out before Pinto Delivery
The gullwing luggage door is cool, it would be really practical for parking lots, since you could load grocieries or luggage from the side, when you can't get behind the car.
The 1971 Maserati Boomerang looks like the kind of car you'd need a shower rail to get in and out of. Actually, a lot of the Italian ones from the 1970's look too low and small to get in and out of.
The vehicle in this video as the trivia question is a Ford Pinto delivery van. We used to call Pintos 'explodomobiles' due to the tendency of the gas tanks to rupture when rear-ended, causing fires, in some cases fatal.
Allie, thought it was a Pinto wagon but the front end looks more like the 1976 Chevy Vega and in a wagon coachworks similar car available in Australia. Thinking it looks like the car in Mad Max
The 70th and early 80th was the Time of Cyberpunk Concept Cars. Most of them still looks today very futuristic ^^ Or better they looks retro futuristic. :D The Nissan looks very awsome. But the Massarati Bommerang is my favorit. The BMW E25 EC...is it possible thats this concept was the direct templet for the M1? I mean..they looks both in all way very similar.
I remember many of theese from playingcards in my childhood, I even remembered the horsepower of a few since that was most important for a young boy :-P

There were a lot of production cars in your concept car video, do you understand the difference between them.
1978 pinto wagon
TO TEST DRIVE CONCEPT CARS WOULD BE A DREAM JOB!
LOVED THE SEVENTIES AND THESE CONCEPT CARS ARE ONE OF THE REASON I DO!!!
Отдельное большое спасибо за деление на эпизоды с каждым концептом!!!
For me MASERATI BOOMERANG is a number one.
Un saluto dall'Italia.
Met the owner and saw the Boomerang in Monterey. He found it in Barcelona and had a restored and took it back to Switzerland. I believe it has resold since. I'm having flashbacks of Marty and Doc, the wedge was THE design for the 70's. Cool video.
They need to bring some of these designs back.
Yup.. but we ended up getting the dodge K car instead
The Alfa Romeo Navajo is utterly amazinly beautiful and just amazing ..omg I want it
Each designers expression of futuristic comfort. Thanks for the video.
I like these types of design language, old school and feeling more mature. The Ferrari 308gt rainbow really captured the intergalactic racecar theme with the square shape and the wheelhouse design covering the back wheels on it.
Thanks for the flashbacks guys... Formative years, though I was always into the muscle cars, not the sleek and slippery ones.
The wedge shape always reminds me on the car of "Danger Mouse" ^^
André Solioz - “PENFOLD!”
Real Reacher MED - I didn’t know that Dangermouse was shown across the pond! Also, I only found out last year that the voice of Hong Kong Phooey was the guy who played Mr Halloran, the chef from The Shining!
Real Reacher MED - # ‘Number one super guy. (Quicker than the human eye!)’
@@AtheistOrphan Scatman Crothers
@@Cre8Lounge - That's the guy!
I love those wedge cars . I wish they made it to production . Closest was a Subaru svx
Thank for a nostalgic look back at childhood dreams. That were pretty cool back then.
these cars are bomb!!!
Wish there is a Modern Boxy Cars ,Brings back the Old days
Back in the early eighties I had a 1976 Triumph TR7 (actually 2--one to drive, 1 for parts). Typical British high maintenance but MAN what a blast in the mountains!!
Спасибо за интересный и познавательный видос!
What a great video again, I just love watching your videos!!!!! Keep up the good work.
It's a Mercury Bobcat! Used to know a guy who had one. Except it had a bubble window on the panel.
Futuristik & elegan
NICE JOB ON THIS VIDEO. AWESOME CARS
Good video.. Each item done as in usual Minds Eye Design fashion.. catchy intro, Great visuals & a minimum of information. Probably a reflection of the short attention span of the mass of today's viewers, but for those of us who have the patience to want (&wait) for more.....
All I have to say after watching this video is WOW, WOW, WOW!!!!!!!!
At school in the 70’s I was a member of the ‘Science Club’ and as a treat the CEGB (Central Electricity Generating Board) brought along ‘the car of the future’ to show off to us. It was (drum roll please) an Enfield 8000!
Car collector seeks an Enfield 8000 in original cardboard box, name your price!
Now I know where Elon got his ideas for the Cybertruck from!
Clint Thomas - Good call!
Aston Martin Bulldog :D
But make it ugly
70's concept cars.
As soon as I saw it that's what I thought
Lancia Stratos and Alfa Romeo Navajo prototypes are awesome!
`'' La conception des yeux de l'esprit !!! '' Un titre vraiment super bien choisi ! De magnifiques voitures ! Bravo !!! ;
14 IS A REAL SWEET CHOICE! LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT IT
So, all a car company has to is combine all of those cars into one, economical, easy to drive product.
Kept thinking Back To The Future while seeing these rides!!
It's a nice list anyway, keep the good work, and Bertone he's a god. 😁
Ford Pinto, USA. Hot Wheels made the Poison Pinto, when I was a kid.🇨🇦
Love the michelotti with the 61 Pontiac taillights..lol..
Ita a Pinto wagon Allie.
that is what I was thinking too.
Or a bobcat the Mercury version
And now we have big grills.... on everything.
Part of me kind of want the styling of the 2020's to be streamlined wedge shaped cars like the Cybertruck and some of these concept cars. Don't know if it will look good, but i guess anything will be better than the super aggressive cars we have right now.

I love unusual concept cars!!
With the exception of 14 and 13 all would look cool even today
Those cars are way more stylish than any today's car. Imo.
Edit: I have that Nissan 126X majorette toy car.
That's a 1978 Ford Pinto Stationwagon. Mine was sky blue and had windows all around.
Ahh, but that was the sedan delivery version.
All would make a PERFECT MATCHBOX COLLECTORS BOX SET
Some of these actually were! I have a couple cars in my collection from 1970s that were on this list
Matchbox made #11, the Monteverdi Hai. That’s for sure.
AND THE CORRECT ANSWER TO THE TRIVIA IS:
It's a 1978 Ford Fiesta Van by Ford of Europe!
It may have shared some parts from a 3-door Ford Pinto, but it's not named after the Pinto.
Trivia answer- It's a 1978 Ford Pinto station wagon, converted into a delivery vehicle.
When I was a kid we had one
They had pinto wagons, already
I had always wondered which car was in the background, inside the Knight Rider truck. Thanks for showing me the Nissan.👍
I preferred the honorable mention best
Love most of those Italian designed cars (especially the Ferrari Modulo), although I preferred what the original Stratos design evolved into for rallying than that concept-car shown! The colour of this Lancia concept made the car look like a chocolate that had softened in the sun!
Sorry but the nissan mentioned must be the first place. Awesome car!!
Fair enough!
Wedge Antilles would be proud of all these...but not with how 40 years later we've pretty much forgotten about aerodynamics
Ford Pinto wagon that was an earlier production model here in CA painted orange with a little round back window!
Crusin'wagon
4:32 The Skoda Super Sport was later redesigned, for a film, and in the later form is known as Skoda Ferat, after the rally car from the film 'Upir z Feratu' (Vampire of Ferat) , that was killing people to use their blood as fuel xD.

AG. - I guess the target market of mimes was rather limited.
The trivia car is a Ford Pinto Delivery Wagon. Some of them were dressed up to match their Econline Shaggen Wagon.
Chevrolet had the Vega Panel that came out before Pinto Delivery
Didn’t Dodge used to had something similar to this? Because I’m pretty sure that it had this concept under its own as well.
@@ivanntheterrible1154 I think so I remember one of the smaller Chrysler wagons looking like a panel.
1974 ford pinto wagon. Cool little car.
I'd roll some of these TODAY. Starting with #1.
That was either a Ford Pinto or a Mercury Comet , wagon!
I liked the wedge the TR7 and X19 were production wedge cars I prefer that to today’s jelly bean look .
It's a Ford pinto delivery wagon.
The gullwing luggage door is cool, it would be really practical for parking lots, since you could load grocieries or luggage from the side, when you can't get behind the car.
I like the Maserati, Nissan and the last Ferrari. Some manufacturers have good taste the common public can't afford. I'd take most of them.
These cars eventually developed into the Toyota Prius.
L👀ks like a Pinto Wagon Delivery.
I like it.
The 1971 Maserati Boomerang looks like the kind of car you'd need a shower rail to get in and out of. Actually, a lot of the Italian ones from the 1970's look too low and small to get in and out of.

1978 Ford Pinto "fun truckin'" delivery.
About that '78 Ford Pinto Panel Wagon... I see one almost every day sitting about 4 miles from my house.
They should of gone into production 👌
This cars all cool
Late to answer. But a 1978 ford rally sport pinto wagon.. I still have mine. It's a 1977with a solid back hatch.. former bell telephone company car
Ford Pinto Sedan Delivery - only available for a short time, but it was a production model.
Is it just me or are the honourable mentions the best of the bunch? That Nissan is a bit extra, but in all the right ways.
4:00 Looks like if Delorean had a luxury model.
A very rare " Pinto panel delivery " by Ford .
Mercury Bobcat delivery panel wagon.
Mid 70s Ford Pinto van concept... a filled in staywag
geoffreyjones2000 That or a mercury bobcat. Same car different name on it.
@Tylenol PM They made those also...there was an orange v8 vega van that cruised my neighbourhood in the early 80s called good vibrations
pinto sedan delivery van(with port windows!)....lol!
Allie, thought it was a Pinto wagon but the front end looks more like the 1976 Chevy Vega and in a wagon coachworks similar car available in Australia. Thinking it looks like the car in Mad Max
1978 pinto cruising wagon. I had a 1977 version
All theses wedge cars and no Triumph TR7 The Shape Of Things To Come..... Car #2 reminds me of Racer X's car In Speed Racer.
whoooaaaa ... that nissan ❤️
That’s a car from ur show on UA-cam GUUUURL
I believe it's a Ford Pinto wagon. Looks like it's mid 70s.
The 70th and early 80th was the Time of Cyberpunk Concept Cars.
Most of them still looks today very futuristic ^^
Or better they looks retro futuristic. :D
The Nissan looks very awsome.
But the Massarati Bommerang is my favorit.
The BMW E25 EC...is it possible thats this concept was the direct templet for the M1?
I mean..they looks both in all way very similar.
The guess? Pinto station wagon. My parents had one when I was in junior high.
Pinto wagon. Car I learned to drive in. In 1979
I remember many of theese from playingcards in my childhood, I even remembered the horsepower of a few since that was most important for a young boy :-P
same gandini's design for the maserati boomerang and the lamborghini countach 😉
All of these look like toys to me there's just a plastic like look to them.
1978 Ford Pinto Sedan Delivery
めっっっっっちゃかっこええ!
The B.M.W one became the M1.
The Nissan 126X looks so freakin awesome!
The trivia car looks like the '78 Ford Pint Cruising Wagon without the round window in the sides.
Now I see John Delorean Idea coming from, Lol..
That Ferrari points a lot to an actual Bertone production model, the Lancia Stratos.
1978 Ford Pinto Wagon.
Looks like either an AMC or a Pinto wagon of some kind.
凄いですね~♪
