Such an incredible rendition of this beautiful song. I love the story of it. Its either just a particularly strong hare, or it could also be a nature spirit, or a metaphor about how man tries to conquer nature but is always one step behind
That's how I take it, its nearly like he feels guilty about his hunting and now respects the hare for her strength and determination. Hares were sacred in Celtic Mythology, it's our oldest Irish animal too.

Hairs are stood up on my neck listening to this for the third time in 24 hours. Thank you for showing us the beauty of the Creggan white hare's struggle.
A perfect performance of great music.
Same, 24 listens in three hours ...
If heavens got a pub, this is what I’ll expect to hear should I be so fortunate as to be given access. Truly mesmerizing.
makes me proud to be irish when i hear songs like that
One of the best Irish songs I've ever heard
Beautiful. Great voice. Simple. Direct. Engaging. Clearly I live in the wrong part of this world and want to move toward the makers of such music.
This is just simply beautiful. I don't even know why I'm cryin
Cant sleep... threw in some Copenhagen and sitting in my truck in the middle of thunderstorm blasting this song. Makes me think of the rabbit and pheasant hunts ive been on. Merry Christmas you fine people. If youre listening to this you know what "class" is.
Love Irish music even thou I am Greek/ Canadian. There is such sadness in the voices, and the words. I always have an images of someone sitting on a rock over looking the ocean with a strong wind blowing their hair, and this image is always black, and white.
I'm irish glad u like. Keep looking it up there's loads
This is my lockdown anthem. If you could bottle Irish folk music this is it
Amazing voice, amazing song, amazing playing. Just a feckin' legend of a fella
Daoiri Farrell's voice is so clear and pure. It brings to mind the clear and perfect sound of a church bell on a cold clear Sunday morning. Just about perfect.

Both the playing and the singing are wonderful. Thank you! A terrific song brilliantly performed.
One of the nicest folk songs which I heard. This is sung very well and played.
I experienced Daoiri Farrell one month ago in Schwerin (Germany) with his music group Keeva. Irish folk at its best!
Agree, saw him on TG4 Port and it was quite a treat, with Muireann Nicamhlaoibh and Julie Fowlis' backvocals. Loved his version of Pat Rainey!
MY SON REQUESTED THIS OF ME TONIGHT. It was and is his youth-full song.....simply awesomeness. Merry Christmas All.:) i EVEN took a pic of him thinking about it as it played. . So great.
My son was so happy the white hare lived, lmfao. That is the memory.
