You certainly didn't piss me off, it's just discouraging to hear comments like that. I'm not going to discuss our proprietary information here on UA-cam, but there truly isn't much markup in these kits. Medical components are pricey, the Combat Gauze alone is $40 and we don't skimp on kit components. We could be going with a $2 NPA but we pay six times that to include the best out there. Manufacturing costs money, I could go on, but you get what you pay for. ~ Bryan
...While I did not purchase the medical kit or bag, the supplies I did purchase are of very high quality. I use the "Medical Insert" in my RN Transport bag to secure supplies. The PVC medical patch is my favorite. I wish you made a larger one as well. I am writing this in response to cpbarrington saying this kit is overpriced. Keep up the good work. Thanks.
Thanks for your support! ~ Bryan
I just took delivery of my Multicam fat boy pouch with ETA kit. Fast delivery, very high quality. You pay for what you get. I don't put a price on my life, my families life or my partners.
Looks like some good stuff there. As a medic it is good to see some new inovative stuff come out. Hooyah!!
Thanks! We're definitely looking into other color combinations for the future. ~ Bryan
Thanks Donald, glad you enjoyed it! ~ Bryan
Combat Gauze significantly outperforms standard gauze dressings in a model of major vascular hemorrhage in acidotic and coagulopathic conditions. This effect appears to result from a decreased time lag between activation and first detectable clotting. Combat Gauze appears to maintain its efficacy even in the setting of severe acidosis and coagulopathy for the control of hemorrhage from vascular injury. hope that helps
I understand the need to make your kit smaller... but the 4 inch ace Is vital! It saves lives.
The fatboy and tallboy pouches are the best overall designs that I've seen on the market, and I've looked at all of them. I do wish they were both just a little larger in their respective footprints, but they still hold a decent bit of gear and are very thoughtfully designed. I own two (one for each car), and while I personally chose to skip the pre-made trauma kit they offer and opted instead to custom build one from tac med solutions that was a bit more comprehensive, these guys are truly some of the best in business and you can't go wrong with any of their gear.👍
My Tallboy comes in today, glad to see the changes made. This will be going horizontally on the back of my HSGI padded belt. Looks like it should fit perfectly.
Thanks brother! See you there! ~ Bryan
Maybe you'd change your mind if you ran your own business and developed your own products. There's not much markup in our kits. Thanks ~ Bryan
If you have kids then you know that having a med kit on hand is very important!! great product guys!!
this is overkill for a med kit for family. The iTS boo boo kit plus adding in a CAT tourniquet is all you need
Unless you plan on going to a show in Vegas...?
awesome video Bryan. See you guys at SHOT.
Can you please post a video on how to pack the Tall boy kit (items out of bag and in loops) through the webbing as you see in this video? I can't figure it out for my kit.
Like the changes. Too bad I just purchased the old style last month. Well there's always next time. Great Products and good vids Bryan. Keep up the good work.
best IFAK hands down. and this definitely going to be my next purchase
Sorry to imply that quickclot was for a chest wound only the lack of additional supplies guess and quickclot or pressure dressing only will address one side of hole and only for a single wound was what I meant to get at thanks for the help and pointing that out
I've done extensive research into buiding my own medical kits which has included cost comparison and while the individual components could be bought a bit cheaper, doing the research and assembling the supplies takes time, and time is money. I ended up using several sites to build my trauma kit. I only wish I had the space saving benefit of a vacuum sealed bag. I've also looked into a variety of bags with different configurations. The reality is you are going to pay more for an American made bag
Best IFAK on the market. Awesome job guys.
I really like the tallboy, mounting it horizontally is exactly what I am looking for! Is there anyway to provide measurements in either rows or by inches between the horizontal clips. I guess a better way of asking this is what is the minimum of rows needed to mount horizontally. I am trying to make it work for a thigh rig and am unsure if its wide enough. Hopefully this will work for a active shooter thigh rig. Thanks
Pretty cool getting this stuff to civilians personally have this stuff laying all over my house.
Thanks for the EDC kit I carry it daily.
You just start with the biggest wounds. If you're talking about a combat senario then hopefully the corpsman/medic can get to the wounded and deal with any additional wounds.
I always do. Use it often enough.
+ITStactical can I recommend the Leatherman medical shears to stock, they are great and have a lot of extra items attached!
Almost bought the pouch on amazon. Stupid expensive though. The dimensions were perfect for my bleeder blowout in the edc pack i carry. 60 for a black pouch is crazy.
awesome upgrade, rock on brother.
ITS Tactical Hi awesome kit but can you explain a bit more about international orders and the limitations.
If you came here to see the thing open up go to 11:00 and you'll see it. I expected a removable "sled" and was a bit disappointed.
Hey Bryan thanks for the video, it looks like an awesome product. could you let me know what brand / model the belt and mag holders you have in the video?
Thanks!
Damn you guys don’t include malice clips with the pouch anymore. Not very kosher.
This would be great for surfers, when surfing in shark infested waters, have one of these attached to their utility belt. I'd also a Blue Force Gear Tourniquet NOW! Strap (with the Tourniquet) onto the Molle webbing of the Trauma kit.
its a good kit as for including a tourniquet that would increase the price...its not a big deal to pick up a couple of them separately ...
looks like a great looking trauma kit, but are the zippers YKK?
So...whats your reasoning for not including the mil/leo combat gauze for civilians?
That policy seems to hurt only civilians...
because civilians aren't as important. duh!
Thats how most LEO view citizens
There will be almost zero difference between civvy and mil shit. Manufacturers use it as a marketing tool to justify their ridiculous prices.
cost
mil has a xray thread = cost
Why did you stop offering clips with purchase?
I do. ~ Bryan
I have a med kit on my person or in my vehicle at all times.
I believe you understood the meaning on my sentence... more then that is pedantic.
Thanks!
Can you make a CADPAT line for your fellow Canadian fans ? I would love to throw my money at the screen if you had it all in CADPAT :D
@Bryan, Will ITS ever offer the ETA pouches in OD green?
Think the combat gauze cop/ or civilian should have the xray strip for safety of the patient. Who cares who stuffs the hole as long as someone does.
Another great video, Thanks
I suggest you price what this would cost to make it yourself...I actually have and I would save about $10...and that's not including shipping costs, so I'd actually pay more by about $30! Not only that but even if I could save, say, $20, I'd still buy it from them because I am supporting a good company and i know its quality...ordering things yourself its easy to get shammed on faux med supplies.
I'm sure I just missed it but what is the diff between the LE/MIL only model and this?
Hay is there a way you can make the pack orange for civilian use like hunting and or schools and sutch
Do you only sell this en America or also in Europe?
cool kit...
Do you guys ship to Canada?
Question I think I'm missing something having never taken a combat med class only Red Cross classes but if someone is shot multiple times in say the torso don't you have to stop the bleeding on all the holes entrance and exit so one pack of quickclot and no extra dosnt seem enough any help would be great thanks
Good stuff, man.
Looks great!
By the way. What's your opinion on the OLAES bandage?
One is a blow out kit meant for a single persons life threatening injuries, the EDC is meant to be discreet. As far as a full book, if you carry it you shoud know how to use it. If I had it may way I'd carry a full bag like on my ambulance, but carrying that all day is just too much and will get some awkward stares. But you are right, never feel more prepared than you really are. My personal vehicle kit is much more comprehensive, but I still feel it is never enough, I'm always adding to it.
Do you think I could route it on a 2 inch duty belt?
Hello, I would like to know if you know a company which sells products to learn to make stitches as in the medical courses.
I know that there are products, looking like the human skin as well as the needles used to make emergency stitches, but I do not know the companies which sell them.
Would you please suggest companies? thank you
thank you
Why is there no OD Green? :(
Its tactical has quality American made gear that is second to none. I wouldn't want a life saving device used on me that says Taiwan or made in PRC. Fuck that: it's pricey to those that don't understand the components- American, 5 star quality and it has been pre configured for you in the most efficient way possible. Do your homework. For the price, it's an incredibly awesome deal.
I am a new sub James Yeager sent me, great stuff ! Tell me about your watch ?
Dope.... I'm gettin one
Looks like a decent pouch (the wide one). Yeah dog, have a few more practices on the presentation (and find a medic-buddy who can help you sell it better). Yeah as a medic I'd say it's pretty decent (I may buy one-the ultimate endorsement!)
On quick clot: Na, think seriously before using this stuff. Better: read reports/studies coming out of Afghan. I'm not condemning it but packing with x-ray readable gauze is super-effective...either way, check out the latest peer-reviewed Mil-med journals
The EDC Kit is $99. I can make a kit and add an NPA, a decompression needle and a chest seal for the same price.
Why do these pouches NOT come with a tourniquet?
They come with a SWAT tq. You should check em out.
Sealkid6 I didn't see a TQ.
It's a stretch wrap and tuck style. It's like a giant rubber band that's a couple inches long.
Sealkid6 I like the SWAT TQ for people with smaller limbs. But for bigger people I have a few CAT TQs and a couple of RATS TQs.
Do any of these products have an expiration date? If so how long of a self life?
SHUDUP AND TAKE MY MONEY! lol great vid man
Someone who carries a firearm day to day should. It's only logical: if one my be in a gun fight, then one may need to render aid for an immediately life threatening injury for self or another.
What type of chest rig is on that dummy?
who uses spell?
who caries first aid kit in their back pocket?
I do too.
I like the original.
You need a class. Quickclot isnt for open chest wounds.
I do.
Needs to be more comprehensive and much larger, with more detailed instructions such as a full book. Having seen the real situations that these kits might find use, I think people need to be much better prepared. While a few items might save a life, there is also a high risk of feeling you are better prepared than you really are.
Not bashing...
Who can't spell CARRIES...
Seriously overpriced....
Am I the only one that is annoyed by the fact that his bracelet is that way round
+200 health
Told him! lol
