Probably the most thorough medical bag I have ever seen. Impressive, and the video itself must have taken so much work putting all those pictures and editing. Really great job here man.
Many thanks, my brother. Pleasure to of service to the larger Prepper Community. As I say in the video, I would suggest that you (and other folks) use my research to explore options for your own medical bag. Again, it's all up to your circumstance and resources, and every prepper is different. Many blessings, and say 'hello' to Canada for me!! --GM
AnalyticalSurvival Will do, I likely won't have something like this for sometime but its great to have a high standard to aspire too, you've really outdone yourself here. Been subbed for a while but hadn't seen this one, great stuff, keep it up Canada salutes you!
AnalyticalSurvival hey I want to be a medical sergeant my plan is to join the Army under option 40 as a 68w then volunteer for sfas. I just want to know if it is a good plan or not ,and also if it isn't what is a good plan.
Vgjh Hhhb hello, 68W is one way to go if you don't think you can pass the SF Selection and need time to get fit. The best option is to have it in your contract as an 18X. The 18X enlistment option guarantees you a shot at trying to pass the Q course. If you enlist as a 68W ( medic ) you can not try out so to speak until you are an E4 and then only if "allowed" .... go option 18X with back up 68W In your enlistment paperwork is what I would advise. ( disclaimer I am not a have never been a recruiter, I'm a SGM (E9) that has an 18D MOS and I'm currently serving my 32nd year in the Army just waiting to retire ). Good luck!
Great video, very well presented and clearly demonstrated in a manner I could easily follow. I look forward to your Medications follow up video (Hint, Hint) A few Items that if added would really enhance the scope of use for this kit without adding noticeable amounts of weight, bulk and cost would be.... 1) Blood Glucose Meter (Kit with Lancets) 2) Spare set of Lithium ion batteries for above 3) Pulse Oximeter (if possible try and get one that takes the same size batteries as your Blood Glucose Meter / Torch) 4) Epi-Pen or equivalent 5) Tongue depressors - (also 8 of these taped together make an improvise tourniquet bar) 6) Magnifying glass 7) IV catheters of a smaller size (20 Gauge - 24 Gauge) Think IV access on people of a smaller stature or children For those of you like me that wondered on the size of the clear pouches, try 8" x 5" (20.5cms x 12.5xms). I based my kit on this set up but tailored it to my group needs and my knowledge / training / competency and physical ability. Advanced Kit you may want to consider if your knowledge/training/competency and budget allows.... 1) Laryngoscope set both with Mac and Miller Blades 2) An AED (However, these are expensive, some may consider too bulky, and/or unlikely to be used, although they definitely fall within your scope of use for this set up.) 3) Cuffed ET tubes, or iGel's (iGel's are easier to use, more durable, however they are bulkier) 4) Goal Zero Guide 10 Plus 5) Goal Zero Nomad 13 (Solar Battery Charger, Strapped to the outside of your bag It gives you the ability to passively charge batteries for extended use of electronic devices including mobile phones / GPS devices etc.)
Thanks so much for all your detailed suggestions. I, as well as many on here, appreciate your input. I truly do appreciate your kind comments as well. Keep up the great work and many blessings, my friend! --GM
You have given us all so much over the last 5 years, thank you. Comprehensive, to the point and no nonsense, I love it. Your channel is a wealth of information, professionally taught and thought provoking. Please allow me to be selfish for one minute and ask if you have just taken a break from this or are you retired from UA-cam? There are a lot of people that would love to see more, and speaking for myself only, I would be happy for you if you simply decided to enjoy your retirement. Thank you again brother for everything, and blessings to you and your family.
As a 12-year Paramedic, this is an outstanding kit, and its obvious that it has been put together with a tremendous amount of forethought and hard-won experience. A couple of comments though - some smaller-gauge IV catheters (20,22 and 24) might be helpful for use on pediatric patients or those with poor vasculature for whom cannulation is a challenge. You can bolus just fine through a 22 or even a 24 if you have to, but an 18 into a squirming toddler who is severely dehydrated is no easy task.
It´s been a year since I first watched this video, and my friend yours is the best Medic Kit in the whole youtube catalog, well organized and complete in almost everyway to ensure the best treatment for anyone needing it. I´ve seen a lot of other vids where people show their medkits and all of them including yours lack something small and very important an oximeter, maybe you have your reasons not to have one or is something you overlooked, but I strongly recomend you to have one. Best wishes and God Bless.
+MP-J-Kristoff Thanks so much, brother! It is a pleasure to be of some help to yourself and the prepper community at large. Yes, I've been told of the oximeter. It would indeed be a great addition to anyone's bag, including mine. Keep up the great work and many blessings --GM
As a former Air Force Medic I think this is an excellent bag! So very carefully thought out and organized, very well done. WOW!!! And I completely agree you must prepare in all things.
This bag pack almost all quick control for acute disease and trauma. Very useful in the event of emergency and natural disasters. Educational video indeed.
SEMPER FIDELIS SIR.... THIS IS AWESOME,,,,,, FINALLY SOMEONE WHO REALLY PUTS A COMPREHENSIVE AND REALISTIC MEDICAL SYSTEM TOGETHER..... YOU SIR... KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING......!
Love the breakdown on each compartment. I was deployed with Blackhawk medic bags like this and it stood up to the rigors of the desert just fine. No broken zippers or worn in holes after 14 months on the road.
Fantastic video, so much detail and thought has gone into each item and every section. Good advice too. Thank you very much for sharing it with us. I pray the day never comes when you need to use it.
This was seriously the best presented and most thorough prep bag video I've ever seen. ON ANY TYPE OF BAG. I found I never skipped ahead and took lots of notes. Well done! I think like you...I actually built my medic kit first (now I have to go tear it all apart, thanks for some new ideas) before my 3-dayer. I also have a small medical grab bag that I built using a bait and worm fishing bag from Bass Pro shop that has two zipped sides and included clear bags, locked into place and keeps all meds, bandages and tapes separate & organized. (seriously folks, you can build a kit out anything handy that works for you. You don't have to go buy a $500 Blackhawk bag) My wife rolled eyes at it and my other bags until her father passed out on the driveway and I had her run and "get the two - red - medical bags under the sink!". What I had totally took care of him, his broken elbow and numerous cuts and bruises before we took him to ER. They told her that they'd never had a patient come in so well cared for and prepped. (clipped notes as to what happened and what was applied to him on his shirt too.) She doesn't roll her eyes any more on being prepared. Folks...watch this video twice and then start your bag(s)...while reading up on basic medical training. Family & friends will be impressed when you help out and maaaaybe they'll understand what it actually means to be "prepared". and Airborne, GM! ...old 20th SFG SGT here.
Absolutely the most professional and informative video on UA-cam. No useless preamble, straight to it with very useful tags. Your effort shows through and is very much appreciated!! Great job!
One of the best vids on med bags on you tube and I think I have watched them all. Thank you so much for making it and taking the time to go over each item. Thanks again.
Retired 30 year fire paramedic here...What a great resource your video is. Excellent job! A lot of guys ask me about building medic kits...I intend to route them to this video.
I am grateful for your kind words, my friend! I appreciate your support and I wish you all the best. It was a pleasure to be of some help! Stay safe during quarantine and many blessings --GM
Remarkably well thought-out with a superior attention to detail. This bag covers the broadest spectrum of medical contingencies I have seen thus far. Respect, whoever you are.
I recommend knowing how to use this stuff. Take some EMT classes, join local CERT volunteer program to be trained in basics for free, at least go to local American Red Cross for BLS training. Retired Navy Corpsman, SARC. CERT trainer these days.
It is my sincere desire that, from me, you learn a way of looking at your tool sets. Hopefully you can apply some of these organizational concepts to your own preps and, finally, afterwards pay this information forward to others in need. We'll all be better off as a community. Many blessings, brother, and thanks for your comment --GM
Just bought this bag and HOLY SHIT!!!!! It is beyond what I expected SUPER durable and tough, far more pockets than youd expect but that's good! It is a bit bigger and a tad heavier than I'd expect but I'm super happy with this. Now on to adding in all the supplies!
I'm speechless... very informative video, thank you. I have watched it several times and have taken screen shots of nearly all the stills from this video for easy reference and material lists. The AR15 reference at the end was a nice touch.
Outstanding video, with so much detail and thought into each item and section. I am a new Medic and I have been wanting my own jump bag, this video has been so useful with helping me get started on filling up on my bag. Thank you.
Heartily seconded - Great vid, and great kit.. One additional item I'd suggest (since, Unless you're bringing this into combat With you (where you'll likely already-have..) most people don't go running around with these: velcro-strapped Knee pads, since you'll most likely be 'on bended knee', during care, and even pantlegged-knees can get quite abrazed on asphalt / rocky (or shrapnel..) littered grounds. I've Thanked myself more than once for tucking those in / velcro'ing on to a molle-strap, sidecar, etc.. Well worth the 'extra baggage', imho..
Hey Pete - thanks so much for your words of encouragement! All meds to be covered later. Please note that I took these photos back in June 2011, when I completed the bag, which was also before my son's birth. Unfortunately, my son was born with several serious allergies. And so, yes, the pen is in there now - as of early 2012 (both the Epi-pen Jr. and Regular - Kaiser is very good at replacing them ASAP). Many blessings, and thanks again for you vote of confidence! --GM
Oh and BTW I have had CPR classes though it is about time for a refresher. And again Thank you for your timely response as well as the wealth of information you share in all your videos. I've been watching for about 2 years and glad to see you back as there did seem to be a bit of a break for a time. Have a great day.
I truly appreciate your support and kind note. Please be encouraged by these videos...they were and are a labor of love. Many blessings, my good friend! --GM
I have more or less the same gear but i put it in a 5.11 Rush 72 bag. Luckily, i got most of it for free because my wife works at a hospital. Some of it I've had to buy. Our bug out kit includes a dedicated food bag, ammo bag, and clothing bag. Everything else goes in our long term bug out bags.
so happy i found this vid, hands down the best i have yet to come across. shows me how much further i have to go and the great ar15 analogy reminds me how very important it is, thanks!
this was a the most helpful and comprehensive ive seen so far and i have advanced first aid training and am starting paramedic school this jan . thanx ! my bag cost about 2300.00 and i did not skimp .
This is one of the best bags that I’ve seen, very well done. I want to get one , please put one together so the public can purchase. Can’t say enough great job.
You have just blown away every kit I have made or ever seen in my entire life on UA-cam. So well thought out, comprehensive, and a kit with a ridiculous amount of practical items. You have earned my respect and you have also earned a subscriber! Being an EMT in training, and being a medical dork most of my life, I have always enjoyed building extensive SHTF medical kits, and I will follow your lead with adding some of the newer contents that I haven't seen before. However, word of caution. In my opinion, the only questionable product included in this amazing bag, that I would like to warn you about would be the Oral IV's. From what I have read, they are relatively useless for rapid rehydration, as the little vials contain not much more than tap water with a very modest amount of salt. Oral Rehydration Salts I have used in my kits for years, and although they do require a liter water to use, are going to be much more effective for patients with moderate to severe dehydration, considering they contain a comprehensive rehydration mixture of Sodium and Potassium Chloride, as well as Trisodium and Glucose. Other than that, very well done.
Dude Thanks for this video this is the best medical bag setup I have seen. I have most of this stuff along with medical books and other things so if im dead the next guy can pick it up and go to work. LOVE THIS VID.
I am grateful for your comment, my brother. It was a pleasure to be a small part of your preparedness. Keep up the great work, and many blessings to you, my friend --GM
After going though my inventory on a first run, looks like I have about 80% of what you have in your bag, I already purchased. Your video gives me a wonderful way to organize what I had in multiple bags, and also some excellent things to add. Great comments here also; thanks to everyone who comments with their recommendations. Really excellent.
Thanks so much for this video, You are a inspiration to us all and I use this video as a guide for my Medical Bag. I totally concur with your assessment on the need for having a quality Med bag. Thanks again AS for your comprehensive and no nonsense video for all of us to use as a guide.
Absolutely. A Medical Bag/Kit for both a Small Team and Individual are in the making. Thanks so much for your support and kind words, brother! Many blessings --GM
I am honored to have been a part of your preparedness, my brother. Your kind words of appreciation mean a lot to me. Many blessings, my friend, and keep on keeping on! --GM
If you had a spreadsheet of all items it would make inventory of peoples existing items and identifying deficiencies a little easier. This would be a great download from AnalyticalSurvivalDotCom if you already had the information in that form. Thank you for all the information! Best of luck and congratulations on the new chapters in your life.
Absolutely outstanding video that stresses the need for comprehensive care when there is no other emergency care available. Excellent point too on firearm possession. If you plan for a crisis situation where you prepare for the possibility of shooting someone; then you MUST plan for the eventuality of you or your family being shot. It's not a lot of money if it's capable of saving the life of a loved one; or any other human being. Keep something like this in easy reach; train to use it properly and pray you never will. Best video of it's type I've seen to date. Sorry it took me three years to come across it. Thank you, sir.
Amazing amount of content in this short video. Well done! I especially like the inclusion of where the items can be purchased to assist in building or adding to a similar kit. Thanks
Thank you for making this video. I am in the process of building my bag now. I am in the beginning stages of getting my EMT Certification and this bag will help me out a lot.
Please please post your follow up vid regarding which medications you suggest to include. I believe you mentioned you might. Thank you for your consideration!
You are the best! This is such good information! I completed combat life saver when I was at Bragg, and I learned just enough to be dangerous. Your videos are such a great help.
I'm thrilled to see another video pop up from you - excellent as usual. I have a bag in my truck about half that size that I have packed with items that are in line with my skill level.. Anyway your vids are 'top shelf'. A good reminder for me to ramp up on my training and gear.. Thanks
I do not have a medical background and have spent the last two months reading & researching what it would take to create a "good" medical kit. I sure do wish I had found your video right off the bat because it would have saved me a lot of time. For those starting out this process, I would recommend making a list of AnalyticalSurvival's components and research how and why to use them. If you do that, I believe you too will appreciate how thorough and complete this "kit" is. Yes it will be costly and require many hours learning how to use it but if you, your family or friends every really need such a kit you will probably save their life. What is that worth? Great job on both the "kit" and the video.
I was looking for a comprehensive list for my new med bag and I had my apprehensions cause this video was 6 years old but this list was phenomenal! It really gave me a good basis for what I need to start thinking about for my medbag. Thanks for taking the time to really break it down.
Extremely well done video. You have obviously taking your time in selecting your items and your cost comparative immediately resonated with me. Your video breakdown is the best I have had the pleasure of watching and it is most appreciated. I perform tactical site analysis for high-risk locations, such as court buildings. This is the type of response equipment I recommend; with appropriate redundancy in case of the primary site being compromised. In Ontario Canada, my stomping ground, we have new legislation that is pushing companies in this direction (H.S.A.) Thanks again, and please keep up the good work you are doing.
Thanks, brother! I hope this information helps you and your clients choose the right implements to get the job done. Say hello to Canada for me! Many blessings --GM
I'm sure you have already endured and will continue to listen to critiques and "better" solutions and other opinions, but do not let that take away from the amazing detail and well thought out guide to your medical bag and this video. The wide range of care that is housed within is impressive. In your suturing kit, I can't remember or not, but perhaps adding some derma bond to avoid some stitches would be nice. BUT AGAIN, so many ideas I have taken from this video to add to my own bag. Fly, Fight, Win.
--GM
AnalyticalSurvival
Will do, I likely won't have something like this for sometime but its great to have a high standard to aspire too, you've really outdone yourself here.
Good luck!
CP, to know that you watched and commented on this video, simply blows my mind.
Still the best video on an medical bag, 9 years old.
It really is. I used this guide to put together my personal medical bag. Pulling it up again just to go over it once more for my next bag.
Because UA-cam use to be about sharing knowledge and not just an infomercial.
Navy Corpsman here......I have to say that is thee best and most complete bag I have ever seen. Great job and great advise towards the end.
Thanks, brother, and many blessings to you as well. Thanks for your service to our country, brother, and keep up the good fight --GM
Did he ever supply links?
One of the very few really serious usable vids with a realistic bag !!!
Maybe it's just me, but medical bags are extremely sexy.
you're not alone
Clint Mahle lol
Clint Mahle i prefer girls in nylon
Girls in tank tops too.
Well I can tell you I took mine everywhere for months at a time and slept with it every night..... downside is that you must share :)
This is the BEST tactical med bag I've ever seen. So very thorough~!
Great video, very well presented and clearly demonstrated in a manner I could easily follow. I look forward to your Medications follow up video (Hint, Hint)
A few Items that if added would really enhance the scope of use for this kit without adding noticeable amounts of weight, bulk and cost would be....
1) Blood Glucose Meter (Kit with Lancets)
2) Spare set of Lithium ion batteries for above
3) Pulse Oximeter (if possible try and get one that takes the same size batteries as your Blood Glucose Meter / Torch)
4) Epi-Pen or equivalent
5) Tongue depressors - (also 8 of these taped together make an improvise tourniquet bar)
6) Magnifying glass
7) IV catheters of a smaller size (20 Gauge - 24 Gauge) Think IV access on people of a smaller stature or children
For those of you like me that wondered on the size of the clear pouches, try 8" x 5" (20.5cms x 12.5xms). I based my kit on this set up but tailored it to my group needs and my knowledge / training / competency and physical ability.
Advanced Kit you may want to consider if your
knowledge/training/competency and budget allows....
1) Laryngoscope set both with Mac and Miller Blades
2) An AED (However, these are expensive, some may consider too bulky, and/or unlikely to be used, although they definitely fall within your scope of use for this set up.)
3) Cuffed ET tubes, or iGel's (iGel's are easier to use, more durable, however they are bulkier)
4) Goal Zero Guide 10 Plus
5) Goal Zero Nomad 13 (Solar Battery Charger, Strapped to the outside of your bag It gives you the ability to passively charge batteries for extended use of electronic devices including mobile phones / GPS devices etc.)
Thanks so much for all your detailed suggestions. I, as well as many on here, appreciate your input. I truly do appreciate your kind comments as well. Keep up the great work and many blessings, my friend! --GM

I don't know how many times I have watched this guy's videos but every single time I think wow someday😮
I’ve referenced this video many, many times over the years. Finally decided to emulate this setup in its entirety. Thanks for making this.
As a 12-year Paramedic, this is an outstanding kit, and its obvious that it has been put together with a tremendous amount of forethought and hard-won experience. Good to see you back with your wonderful informative videos. They are great and to the point. Welcome back and look forward to more vids.

Oh yes. Yes. YES. This is so good. SO GOOD. GIVE IT TO ME.
Oh and BTW I have had CPR classes though it is about time for a refresher. And again Thank you for your timely response as well as the wealth of information you share in all your videos. I've been watching for about 2 years and glad to see you back as there did seem to be a bit of a break for a time. Have a great day.
Pleasure to be of service, my friend! Many blessings --GM
Working on my med supplies recently I see many things I have bought but many I never thought of. THANKS YOU this video is a eye opener
Best I've ever seen in my life!!!!
This is one Of the best UA-cam vids ever x
I truly appreciate your support and kind note. Please be encouraged by these videos...they were and are a labor of love. Many blessings, my good friend! --GM
I really wanted to say thank you for all that you post here... It has been really helpful. Godspeed to you Sir.
My pleasure, my friend --GM
Cheers for the video. Really enjoy the high levels of detailed information in your videos. Yours is definitely a thinking man's Prep Channel.
This kit is so well done. Very good job putting it together
Thanks, my friend!
Awesome, Frankie! Thanks for your comment and best of luck in your training --GM
Welcome back sir! Your videos were sorely missed.
So glad to see you back!
After going though my inventory on a first run, looks like I have about 80% of what you have in your bag, I already purchased. Your video gives me a wonderful way to organize what I had in multiple bags, and also some excellent things to add. Great comments here also; thanks to everyone who comments with their recommendations. Really excellent.
im so glad your back, the knowledge and information you give out is my absolute favorite. love this channel hope all is well keep up the great work.
Another great video with a wealth of info. It is good to see you back, and congrats on retirement and your son!
So great to see you doing videos again man, thanks brother. Take care
Incredibly well made kit. Cudos to the maker. Only misses some painkillers/meds as you say. Really good video, thanks for putting it up!

You're quite welcome, my friend. Best of luck and keep up the great work! Many blessings --GM
See alot of these med bags. Best one medical backpack, thank you so much. Going to get one of these bags. 👍👍
I am honored to have been a part of your preparedness, my brother. Your kind words of appreciation mean a lot to me. Many blessings, my friend, and keep on keeping on! --GM
Great video and awesome bag. You can tell a lot of thought went into it. Great job.
Thank you for another great video !!
Good to see you back, looking forward to the smaller kit videos.
BRAVO!!! great research and choices. It was very intuitive to place nitrile gloves in multiple locations within the bag.
Added to my "survival" playlist. Awesome med bag!
Great to see another excellent video ! Many Thanks...
Thanks
Great setup! Very well broken down.
Many thanks, brother! --GM
I really am glad that you are doing videos again. You have put so much time and effort into this. As always your vids are top rate, please keep it up!
Thank you for making this video. I am in the process of building my bag now. I am in the beginning stages of getting my EMT Certification and this bag will help me out a lot.
Please please post your follow up vid regarding which medications you suggest to include. I believe you mentioned you might. Thank you for your consideration!
Wow I had to look twice when i saw you posted a new video. Thanks!
You are the best! This is such good information! I completed combat life saver when I was at Bragg, and I learned just enough to be dangerous. Your videos are such a great help.
Outstanding info and video. Looking forward to the next installment.
Thanks for the kind words, my friend. It is a pleasure to be of service! Many blessings --GM
I was looking for a comprehensive list for my new med bag and I had my apprehensions cause this video was 6 years old but this list was phenomenal! It really gave me a good basis for what I need to start thinking about for my medbag. Thanks for taking the time to really break it down.
I really appreciate your kind comments, my friend! I'm glad I was able to offer some help. Keep up the great work, and many blessings --GM
I got the voodoo tactical bag, it's similar to the stomp. I've patterned my bag off of this video, thanks for making it.
glad to see you making more videos.
Just discovered your page. Very well presented and now I'm hooked. Thanks for the knowledge.
If the SHTF, I would follow this guy anywhere.
Sweet. I'm glad your back. Best information out there.
Insta - subbed after I watched. One of thee best bags Ive seen so far. Better than my jump bag on the medic unit.
This is just ridiculous, lmfao. Way too much
great kid and great vid!!!!
I am working on such a kit but I am going all hardshell.
thank you for this guidance.
