I’ve been glued to the trial and I didn’t do as concise of a job trying to explain it to my daughter. (When I was trying to describe his financial crimes, my daughter exclaimed, “Oh - like the husband of that Desperate Housewife of Beverly Hills!” I actually thought that was a better title for the show!)

I’m on vacation in Thailand now and it’s so so wild to see kids (teens-20 something’s) walking down the beach looking at their phones the whole time, not even taking a minute to look at the view. I definitely sense it’s their anxiety and lack of social skills that makes them take comfort in this, cell phones are the new security blankets for that generation. Can’t imagine how much life they’re going too and will miss out on.

Ignorant things Hailey said in her teens was just an arrogant thing teens do. They say things and don’t really think about how hurtful words can be. Hailey is a lot older now so hopefully she matured and learned. It seems like Hailey had a celebrity crush on Justin and started crushing on that relationship he had with Selena and had an unhealthy belief that because her family is famous and has contacts … put it in her head that her family could introduce her to Justin and she could start hanging out with him. Hailey is beautiful. She caught Justin’s eye by flirting with him even when he was with Selena hoping she could lure him away. I don’t know what actually happened as to why Justin and Selena broke it off for good then two months later he asks Hailey to marry him. I find it strange how Hailey copies so many things from Selena. Hailey started to go to same church as Selena and Justin , copying her tattoos , clothes , mannerisms , words in Interviews, starts a cooking show after Selena starts her cooking show , starts skin care line after Selena starts her beauty line. Hailey tried to become friends with Selena’s non famous friends. Something is off about Hailey mentally. Hailey may not have gotten pregnant yet because she isn’t ready. She is still very young. Still models. Is starting a business etc. she is very busy and just enjoying her life. I don’t think that is weird tgag she isn’t pregnant yet. I do find it odd that I just read he canceled his tour and she changed her last name back to Baldwin on one of her social medias. In terms of oddities of the East Coast Italian family -- (1) Assigned seating. You sit in the same place at church, in the same order. You have your seat at the dining room table. You have your own seating area in the living room. You always sit in the same place in the car. This holds true at every family member's house, car, or church you ever went to - everyone has their own seat and it never changes. (2) Weddings, Birthdays, Hospitalizations, and Funerals are treated high holidays - It is never OK to be late, to show up without a gift or an envelope, you must stay there until its over, and if there is food present, you must eat and compliment the chef(s). 3) Anyone who dares to sit in their unassigned seat or does not arrive at the event with a gift, a healthy appitite and an awareness to ask where they should sit will be mercilessly raked over the coals - behind your back and then in front of your back.
Another thing with Italian families is that the male children are completely papered and treated like little kings while the female children are expected to take care of the parents as they age.
I don't follow either Selena or Hailey, but Selena seems like a very genuinely, kind person whereas Hailey just seems like a spoiled, entitled rich girl. Just bc you were raised in a Christian household doesn't mean you are a Christian.

Some with eating disorders are very affected mentally when someone else is losing weight, eating less, getting attention, doing disordered things, ect . It’s a loss of control. there’s a lot of competition and comparison in the disorder. It’s an overwhelming internal war. This doesn’t happen for everyone who suffers. Everyone is different.
I think that there is something about the Theresa, Melissa and Joe thing that on some level a lot of us relate to. Societal rules tell us that families are always unconditionally loving and there for you through thick and thin, and thank heavens for a lot of people that is how it works, but it just isn't true for everyone. I’ve learned that the individuals behind the celebrities are literally Kris Jenners who get off on the game of chess with these people. It’s been admitted that most relationships are put together by PR teams, even if it’s just simple encouragement. They’re almost always started because of someone’s PR thinking of it. That doesn’t take feelings away, in fact I think that makes it more intense. That these people may sometimes be lead to believe their feelings are very true and organic only to feel that’s not the case. I can imagine it’s horrible to be surrounded by “yes” people who trick you constantly.

When I lived in Chicago, I dated a 1st generation, American born Italian. I'm close with my family but this was a lot! We had to show up for everything. Every birthday (even for the babies), anniversary, church, and the all-day Sunday meals that last for hours, and I can't eat that much. Lol, his mom and his grandmother's, Aunt's were always so concerned why I wasn't eating more. They were so sweet about it, feared I didn't like the food, but these would like 5-7 courses and, of course, lots of pasta, and it was delicious but filling. His family was so sad we when broke up because his family really liked me and I just adored them. Good memories with them 💕

I’m on vacation in Thailand now and it’s so so wild to see kids (teens-20 something’s) walking down the beach looking at their phones the whole time, not even taking a minute to look at the view. I definitely sense it’s their anxiety and lack of social skills that makes them take comfort in this, cell phones are the new security blankets for that generation. Can’t imagine how much life they’re going too and will miss out on.

Ignorant things Hailey said in her teens was just an arrogant thing teens do. They say things and don’t really think about how hurtful words can be. Hailey is a lot older now so hopefully she matured and learned. It seems like Hailey had a celebrity crush on Justin and started crushing on that relationship he had with Selena and had an unhealthy belief that because her family is famous and has contacts … put it in her head that her family could introduce her to Justin and she could start hanging out with him. Hailey is beautiful. She caught Justin’s eye by flirting with him even when he was with Selena hoping she could lure him away. I don’t know what actually happened as to why Justin and Selena broke it off for good then two months later he asks Hailey to marry him. I find it strange how Hailey copies so many things from Selena. Hailey started to go to same church as Selena and Justin , copying her tattoos , clothes , mannerisms , words in Interviews, starts a cooking show after Selena starts her cooking show , starts skin care line after Selena starts her beauty line. Hailey tried to become friends with Selena’s non famous friends. Something is off about Hailey mentally. Hailey may not have gotten pregnant yet because she isn’t ready. She is still very young. Still models. Is starting a business etc. she is very busy and just enjoying her life. I don’t think that is weird tgag she isn’t pregnant yet. I do find it odd that I just read he canceled his tour and she changed her last name back to Baldwin on one of her social medias. I don’t follow her on anything so I can’t confirm it ( I just read it ). I almost wonder if Hailey and Justin are on the brink of trouble in marriage

In terms of oddities of the East Coast Italian family -- (1) Assigned seating. You sit in the same place at church, in the same order. You have your seat at the dining room table. You have your own seating area in the living room. You always sit in the same place in the car. This holds true at every family member's house, car, or church you ever went to - everyone has their own seat and it never changes. (2) Weddings, Birthdays, Hospitalizations, and Funerals are treated high holidays - It is never OK to be late, to show up without a gift or an envelope, you must stay there until its over, and if there is food present, you must eat and compliment the chef(s). 3) Anyone who dares to sit in their unassigned seat or does not arrive at the event with a gift, a healthy appitite and an awareness to ask where they should sit will be mercilessly raked over the coals - behind your back and then in front of your back.
Another thing with Italian families is that the male children are completely papered and treated like little kings while the female children are expected to take care of the parents as they age.

Some with eating disorders are very affected mentally when someone else is losing weight, eating less, getting attention, doing disordered things, ect . It’s a loss of control. there’s a lot of competition and comparison in the disorder. It’s an overwhelming internal war. This doesn’t happen for everyone who suffers. Everyone is different.
I think that there is something about the Theresa, Melissa and Joe thing that on some level a lot of us relate to. Societal rules tell us that families are always unconditionally loving and there for you through thick and thin, and thank heavens for a lot of people that is how it works, but it just isn't true for everyone. Add to that a family with egos as thirsty as Melissa, Joe and Teresa, put them on TV and chaos ensues!

I’ve been nervous about the jury verdict in Alex Murdaugh case ever since I heard one of the reporters who have been attending the trial said that when Alex was on the stand giving testimony about his family and crying, the reporter looked over to the jury to see if they were buying it and he said he saw TWO of the jurors were crying like legit tears which is never a good sign but still hoping they make the right decision in the end!!
Thank God he was found guilty, may he rot in jail.

I’ve learned that the individuals behind the celebrities are literally Kris Jenners who get off on the game of chess with these people. It’s been admitted that most relationships are put together by PR teams, even if it’s just simple encouragement. They’re almost always started because of someone’s PR thinking of it. That doesn’t take feelings away, in fact I think that makes it more intense. That these people may sometimes be lead to believe their feelings are very true and organic only to feel that’s not the case. I can imagine it’s horrible to be surrounded by “yes” people who trick you constantly.

When I lived in Chicago, I dated a 1st generation, American born Italian. I'm close with my family but this was a lot! We had to show up for everything. Every birthday (even for the babies), anniversary, church, and the all-day Sunday meals that last for hours, and I can't eat that much. Lol, his mom and his grandmother's, Aunt's were always so concerned why I wasn't eating more. They were so sweet about it, feared I didn't like the food, but these would like 5-7 courses and, of course, lots of pasta, and it was delicious but filling. His family was so sad we when broke up because his family really liked me and I just adored them. Good memories with them 💕
