I ran into this tutorial a couple months back... for whatever reason I was not proficient enough to see the value and much less understand lol. I appreciate you making this. Thank you Sir.
Hey man! thanks for sharing this tutorial. I've walked it through and creates a complete helmet. It took me longer than expected, but it feels so good after its completion.
New subscriber here~ i'm happy i found this content of yours ✨ I'm recently learning fusion 360 and this helps alot and makes much more sense on understanding how to work on complicated shape in 3 dimensional view and angles^^
thank you for the sub. nice to hear that. also this is just one of the way to create model . there is many more feature updated over time. hope you continue enjoy the learning process
Thank you for the tutorial I just bought a cr-10 it will arrive tomorrow and I've been learning all I can so I have an idea of what I need to do to create a 3d model from scratch rather than buy or download a free stl file. Thank you again man keep making more videos awesome job 🙏
Excellent turorial! I was trying another method to make a helmet and it was good but while this method will probably take longer, I think it might have a better result. Thank you!
This was excellent. You should continue with more videos aling this line because no one really touches on this. Do you have any work flows that involve this and form modeling together?
One thing I’d like to learn is everyone presets the type of material in the software I’d like to know how to do that example how you set the forehead to the gold color
The video is amazing but I keep taking photos of this helmet I have and the point won't line up I'm not sure if it's a angle issue or scaling so the chin will line up and the top but the middle point won't I'm stuped
I locate all the points correctly forehead is patched easily but sides can't so how i patch them i want to select a single line but whole forehead line is selected when i try to patch side due to this reason sides didn't patch correctly
would you be able to just mirror one side once you finished connecting the dots together? that way they are completely symmetric? Just asking because I haven't had a chance to try it yet
At a glance I’m guessing probably not. It will depend on the spline and it’s direction/flow/acceleration If memory serves… cause it’s a 3d sketch it matters.
i make sketch as you did but when my forehead plate patched out at that instant my sides and front lines disappeared what should i do or how i can tell you my problem by picture or by video ?? i have alot of interest in 3D modeling
the point wont connect automatically. you need to work in 3D sketch environment. if some one can it mean you must have some missing step. try again wish you get there.
Anyone viewing this tutorial in 2023 should not follow this method.... Use less points with the Control Point Spline... Fit Point Spine will force to use more points as you don't have control over the curve itself. Secondly the canvas image can be found on Grab Cad... It's unfortunate this content creator is not giving credit to the original artist.
thanks for pointing out. do you make a tutorial? if yes, you can put the link here. i put in a description. because I use more on Nomad now btw the image i just google it dont even know where i got .
Tutorial file can download from here.

I cant download this file sir..
oh the link outdated .
Hi can share the new link? @b3D
Much appreciate it .
@@surendranbalakrishnan5449 i lost the file >.< omg.
@@B3D ahahahaah! well, you're video is still very informative. thank you for sharing
I can't believe it's that simple, Thank you so very much I needed this more that anything when it comes to Fusion 360.
Just ran into this after starting to dabble with fusion360, and my god this seems to be a lifesaver!

congrat ~
@@B3D I've just created THE STORMBREAKER too😬.
It was one the best modeling tutorial in fusion 360:)
No is not alot better
Best tutorial I have seen and I watched quite a few. The pace is great for beginners like me.
Great to hear!
I followed step by step... to the T... I now have an Iron Man faceplate ready to print!
Time Elapsed: 5 hours

Hi Bruce!
Thanks for sharing, for me this is pure GOLD!
I was stuck into parametric but now with this tutorial i will try the surfaces.
Thanks again!

Have fun!
thanks Bruce, playing with the idea of my first helmet and this helped it feel less daunting! fingers crossed!
Excellent turorial! I was trying another method to make a helmet and it was good but while this method will probably take longer, I think it might have a better result. Thank you!
use what ever methord will do. my methord on this video is already old
Thank you for the Tutorial Bruce! :) That helped me a lot, much easier way to do 3d sketch
Thank you. Learned a lot.
Thanks man, hugely appreciated!
Great workflow Bruce!
love the tutorial helped me out loads keep up the work
This was excellent. You should continue with more videos aling this line because no one really touches on this. Do you have any work flows that involve this and form modeling together?
Another way to achieve this is to sketch the curves on a front view and a side view then use intersecting curves to make the 3d sketch
𝐖𝐚𝐢𝐭 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭
Which method would you use to make the intersecting curves? Or just have lines for every point in both axes and select the intersect points?
thank you!
One thing I’d like to learn is everyone presets the type of material in the software I’d like to know how to do that example how you set the forehead to the gold color
Good tutorial thank tou
Glad you liked it!
Obrigado!
Wooooo got there but jeeez hahahaha i love you
Muito boa sua explicação parabéns!!!
This is really great!
Part 2 pleaseee
Very nice
Thank you for open your youtube!!
감사합니다
thanks a lot! learnt a lot from this video. but 1080 still blurry thats the only thing ha.
after one year. my computer upgrade. still try to figure out how to make higher quality screen recording
@2:07 "Oh, Perfect. Not really perfect, but..." I seriously LOLed😂😂😂Such an Asian statement. (I'm Asian/American btw)
yup I am pure Asian from Malaysia .
never really Asia so I not sure yet lol.

Move one direction at one time take time to understand how space in 3D work , then you will got it
Is it important to join the points with only "fit point spline"
Can you make fillet or bevel on the edges?
Thanks for the tutorial man :D
Yes you can ....befor thichness you can give fillet with radius 5+ after thickness
I locate all the points correctly forehead is patched easily but sides can't so how i patch them i want to select a single line but whole forehead line is selected when i try to patch side due to this reason sides didn't patch correctly
@4:25 it is necessary to tick mark 3d sktech in sketch palate
yes
That's so easy than doing it in Blender
would you be able to just mirror one side once you finished connecting the dots together? that way they are completely symmetric? Just asking because I haven't had a chance to try it yet

or how i can tell you my problem by picture or by video ??
i have alot of interest in 3D modeling
you could just drop the file .
also you can try difference methord to make it work. form is one of the way
What if we create one side surface then mirror it?
Can you share you images/sketchs, please? TY
the one I have search from here.
too busy recently . I think you may already got it.
grabcad.com/library/iron-man-helmet
Can you make a tutorial for a boba fett helmet using the surface feature?
T_T I am too busy at work now. I try do it when I spare out some time.
@@B3D Dude, no rush, I REALLY appreciate you responding, but seriously, take your time.
I tried this method and it does not work for me. I did the point. But they do not connect?
the point wont connect automatically. you need to work in 3D sketch environment. if some one can it mean you must have some missing step. try again wish you get there.
i follow the step but when i patch, some of the line will disppear
Go to the sketch on the hierarchy and then click the eyeball. It auto hides it after it
can you provide the file your using?
the link outdated myself dont have the access due to multiple edu account ==
already you may need search for new similar stuff around.
Some of my mesh is backwards and is ruining the thickening process and I don’t know how to fix it. Help?
sorry too busy recently. u slove it yet ?
@@B3D nope. It’s still backwards for some reason
Delect the face > modify > reverse face
I want to model iron man suit but dont know how. Can anyone help.?
I dont know where and how to do 3d modeling.
Learn or paid . This is the way
hy do the rest of my lines disapear when i make the first patch ?
unhide your sketch
