I had a tiny kitchen spider that lived behind my facet nozzle that took out a 2 inch centipede. Then it dragged it up its little web till it was vertical. Each day it would drain one section dry. It took it like 5 days to completely consume it and let the carcass drop to the counter. It was cool watching it each day. Yeah cellar spiders are awesome, i watched a decent sized chunky black house spider walk towards one and the cellar spider destroyed it in a second, love those little buggers, they are welcome in my house.
@@migzzroses a cellar spider could maybe bite but not the normally recognized daddy long legs which I'm assuming your talkin about, and yeah those things are far creepier then dangerous
I studied the attitude of daddy long legs. They're actually fearless, they can attack and eat bigger preys. They're not afraid if their enemies are more dangerous and bigger. Once one larger prey gets trapped on their webs they'll gonna wrap them up with webs and eat them slowly, once they get full they'll rest for days sometimes weeks until their stomachs get smaller again and eat the remains of the prey. But if the prey is already rotten and already pale and hard, they'll just leave them.
This feels like the bug world version of a teenager keeping an 8 year old kid out of reach from hitting him by using an outstretched arm and palm on the forehead.
I remember watching a video on these and though their webs are super fragile and easy to break they have like infinite silk so at this point the wasp is just gonna keep breaking and getting tied up for no reason because you know infinite silk resources. He can literally do this all day at that point
Daddy long legs are the kryptonite for bigger spiders and other insects there incredibly great hunters and friendly i recommend people to keep them around because even if they don’t kill anything they ward of bigger spiders because there afraid of there huge legs which they use to stay back and wrap them up in a silver Web
Thanks!
Thanks, much appreciated.

My boy really just got slapped to death by a pea with legs

I read tons of these comments and this is the best one tbh

I mean you ain’t wrong..
That wasp looks like he is being tickled to death. 😂
That’s what I was thinking 😂

Tickle fight!

I was about to say that. The wasp was getting mad by the poking
Cellar spiders are the most overpowered spiders in close combat. They look so fragile, but they're like deathly shinobi.
Until they meet jumping spiders.

For any of my American fellows this is an Australian daddy longlegs not American
I've seen them here, though. The ones with the big abdomen. They're not as common as the small abdomen ones, but they're around.
Exactly, the "american" ones don't have silk sacs or venom glands; meaning, not poisonous and/or can spin webbing. Also, only have 2 eyes.
@Tai Yggdrasil they aren't venomous, they can spin webs, and they have 3 eyes.
Makes sense lol
@@darkenergy9760 huntsman don't have silk sacs, which is why they cluster together and look like wads of hair.

We must protect this spider at all costs
Agreed
Their young will help in the bee resistance
This is one of the many reasons spiders are better than wasps

No, it couldn’t move. The spiders web is pretty tough, it was being restrained.
You could see it fighting as it was tryna use it’s stinger.

unfortunately for the wasp, it could NOT ‘catch these hands’.
