Experimental album created entirely with AI. To make it more accessible I probably lent more into Electro than the Swing part of
the genre, but theirs a heavy dose of swing in the middle part.
Spent a good month or so off and on training the AI to my preferences in various genres then decided to focus on this exclusively for a week or two. It probably took around 500 tracks to get it down to the 25 I ended up settling on. In an ideal world with an endless amount of free time and motivation I would have created 2,000+ tracks so I could be super picky and create something really cohesive, but I figure I’ll revisit the premise at a later date and eventually make a greatest hits... a man can only take so much swing.
Lyrics range from jabberwock-ian esoteric whimsical nonsense, to technology paranoia, madness, reflections, introspection, and conspiracies melding with upbeat jovial beats with a fair amount of lighthearted tracks interspersed to keep the mood light.
Unfortunately the AI seems a bit limited as far as titles go as is probably obvious by the track list. Something I’ll have to work on for my next project. Found a bunch of rap lyrics I wrote about 20 years ago that I’m going to attempt to turn into an EP & I’m going to make something similar to this in Synthwave or Trip-Hop next. Really useful for understanding the tropes in the genre for production.
