The 70s had disco but pop culture was enamored of the 20s to 40s. There's a lot of films that were set during those decades. Swing even got featured in disco songs and of course the best known is the Cantina Band song from Star Wars (1977). Swing comes around every now again over the decades. Its a classic.

I am 70 years old and have had no idea about "electro swing". Some of it, I really like, unless I sense rap and other crap in it. like this.
It is a fusion of 1920's swing and electronic club music, it occasionally incorporates other genres like rock, rap, or pop
I like to describe it what people 1920 would have made with todays instruments avaiable...

The artists name was Alberto Vargas. He worked for Esquire magazine when they had pinup centerfolds in the 40s. The paintings were popular with soldiers. These were exagerated, stylized fantasy women for the fighting man gone to war. Those heels are just a part of his style.

so many of the electro swing compilations I listen to now say they're blocked in my country (USA)! What's the deal? Copywrite? Hate the thought of not hearing such good songs anymore. How much longer will this one be available to me? Sigh.
Yes, it is a bit strange at the moment. Because it's always a copyright issue, but the creators allow monetization, so we can upload the tracks. The author then earns money, keeps his rights and we can upload the music on our channels. So win-win, as it is on the radio. We do not get any money for this, it's only our passion to the music, but the author can theoretically have it blocked at any time, because it is not 100% allowed. There are a few tracks of the "Big Names" that are currently destroying all Electro Swing Mixes. We talked to the other UA-cam channels and nobody knows what it really is. Not such a nice thing!
