Strange. Not a single homeless person in the view. So this is what the other parts of SF worry about. Pickleball noise.
🤣
It’s like you read my mind.
😂
YES, and let's use tax payer money to formally justify a public move to address an issue that was only affecting a very $elect few.
They need something to complain about
Homeless drug addicts - OK. Poop and tents on the sidewalk - OK. Rampant crime - OK. Pickleball noise - Oh hell no. 😂😂😂😂
Must be a right wing sport 😅
@@seanbinder8316 👍🤣 I saw mainly white folks in the video, so it must be a racist sport too.
Which is why I left after living in the city all of my (62 years)life..
Imagine living in a $36 million house and complaining about anything
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAA. Some people are just never happy.
A $36M house WITH its own Pickleball court... their hypocrisy knows no bounds.
I’m sure Tiffany makes a noise canceling tiara so…
She probably doesn't complain about anything, she complains about everything!
Proof money doesn’t buy you happiness.
When you’re very rich even a slight annoyance becomes everyone’s news. Incredible.
Slight annoyance? Would you want to listen to that all day?
@@TheoneGodfathercry me a river lmao
@@vanessathenavigator No, not interested in your sexual kinks.
How much did she pay the news compny I wonder to get that air time lmao.
you sound more snobbish than the 'rich lady' (husbands money). the issue is public noise but you can only resolve to think about their privilege? the city can afford to lower the noise level and meet a common sense solution like an enclosed court with perhaps an open court closer to cliff side or even just sound absorbing matting around the wide open court. your jealousy reeks past your ability to have simple understanding and compassion for those in your city. and it shows. we build highway sound barriers everywhere by highways, why wouldn't this public noise issue be any different. pickelball is louder and I encourage you to see them first hand. are you aware that the government replaces windows under airport runways in order to sound proof their living and not interupt those who live around the airports with obnoxious noise. If America can fix SF we can fix everywhere else.
A petition to stop others from playing pickleball while having your own private pickleball court in your backyard is very San Franciscan 😂😂😂
So pickleball noise is problematic but all the other problems in the city are ok? Got it. Keep being you SF. You're doing great.
Most SF homeowners are major Karens
@@pumamanta1771because they are privileged. The problem is it's "their" area now and they don't want any public to disturb their bubble. Nimby is real and an f'n problem. It's like someone moves next to a public park and complains about noise 😒. Give me a break. Crazy people.
Absolutely, liberals are hypocrites at heart
You being you archdog, showing your bias and ignorance. It was only a few overly privileged people complaining.
@@tommydong8070 thanks!
Presidio Heights translation very affluently rich people upset that someone is stepping on their lawns. And the person starting the petition to get an "environmental study" also recently complained that the sound of the pickleball court is reducing buyers on her "$36 million" home, so the translation of the petition is "lets stop the pickleball play just long enough so I can sell my home then I don't give a rats ass about some bird or whatever animal excuse I used to stop it"
NIMBY 😂
Well someone should tell her that it's probably not the noise from the pickle ball playing that is making it harder for her to sell her home.
This needs to be addressed immediately... priority #1 in San Francisco... forget about the looting, the breaking into cars, and businesses leaving.. no sir.. it's all about pickleball
I'm appalled they won't let the Homeless watch these games. Even the Homeless need entertainment.
🤣🤣😂😂
They don't care cause they live in their ivory tower. As long as they don't see it on their streets? It's business as usual.
bigots need a game too. that's why they have the need to bash on homeless in the comment section of an article that has nothing to do with homeless people.. @@robertcornelius3514
I am stunned the homeless have not set up their tents on the courts. @@robertcornelius3514
With a 36million dollar house you can probably afford some better windows.
Looks like the neighborhood and the city are......in a pickle
I see what you did there.
Yes. A big dill-emma.
@@blaiseandthebambina 😆
The pickleball noise is going to train the neighborhood get used to the gunshot noise 😂
Rather deal with Pickleball noise, instead of gunshots, fired, or dealing with anything in the city😂😂😂😂😂
ELITES don't want other people enjoy themselves.
If you lived near a popular pickleball court, you'd feel the same way. Don't be a hypocrite.
They use the same CEQA/environmental excuses to block affordable & MR housing and…even bike lanes.
My activism started from 2021 SF Ferris wheel debacle that included this type of petition
Are you active against crime?
So what if she has a pickel ball court in her back yard. The problem is the hours. Nobody wants to hear that shit at 7 am every day.
People do this all the time. Nimbys move next to a railroad track and complain about the noise. They move next to an airport and complain about the jet noise
They did that to the Verizon ampitheater in Irvine, CA. The theater was there first, condos were built next to it and then the people moved in complained about the noise and shut down the ampitheater. SMH.
And the Food Bank on Pennsylvania Ave. Before the condos went up the Food Bank warned the developers about the noise from their operations; sure enough....
@@jorjoperalta yup and racetracks and dragstrips
They move to a CITY when they want to be isolated and left alone. Like go move to middle of nowhere then
Yes, but that is not the case here. The houses around the courts where built in the 1920's or earlier. The courts were put in a couple of years ago. The houses sit higher than the courts as well so it creates an amplified affect.
It is like tennis without running. --John McEnroe 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Said someone who never played it.
@@marilynjackson5752 John McEnroe played plenty of tennis and said this promoting a pickleball match with Jimmy Connors. Sorry your geriatric sport is barely exercise.
"Environmental Study" = 3 to 4 million dollars of research just to state that pickle ball is loud. Got to love those blue cities and states.
I'll do that study for half the price. But my follow up study for what kind of birds are effected, I'm gonna have to charge $4 million.
“How dare you disrupt my pickle ball, with your own pickle ball!!!”
She wants to be the best they should make a tournament Karen’s vs Americans lol she gets her team n the real ones get a team see who ever wins gets there way
It literally is a bunch of rich people who are pissed about the noise and going to say and do anything to get rid of the problem. Welcome to the real world 🌎 🙄🙄🙄
It's actually not a "bunch" but only a very, very small, but powerful few. In fact, it was literally one person who started the petition and has since taken it down yet it somehow became a news worthy story.
Who is the resident of the $36M home that complained about the noise but has a pickleball court?
i cant wait til im old and skeletal to complain about people having fun...
With all the problems San Francisco today between the crime, the leaning Building and downtown stores all closed up you pick Pickle Ball and this crazy woman! No wonder people are leaving California in droves.
@anitamiller7960Californians are leaving in droves, it’s immigrants and illegals that are moving in.
😂😂😂@anitamiller7960
@anitamiller7960 Your correct, its all the homeless moving here also.
Their worry about the noise affecting home values make me sympathetic to people taking a dump in front of their doors 😂
They love their nuisance barking dogs but have a problem with pickle ball players?? 🤯
I don't even play pickle ball but it looks entertaining
@@jeromeashley9972 it do though seems chill asf smoke a j and smack a ball around sounds like a good time 💀🤣

@@mmjcrascrew your dog. We are coming for those slobbering shitbeasts next. In the near future dog owners will be treated like cigarette smokers are now
The things SF residents complain about are about as outlandish as the Mayors speeches!!
Just make playing daylight hours only. Daytime noise is expected and the pickleball noise isn’t very bad.
I knew a woman in Mill Valley who lived on top of of a hill, seeing far and wide. Roughly a mile away, a man intended to build two houses on his property, which offended her aesthetics. So, she and her friend insisted to the planning commission that the man was morally unfit to build because he had a conviction for marijuana possession. The commission agreed with her. The Bay Area has long been a hotbed of intolerance.
Good, I'm glad that drug conviction came back to hurt him.
@@JK-br1mu Always good to hear from North Korea.
@@nicmart sounds more like San Francisco, not long ago, to hear you tell it. And I luvvvv it.
Had to do a little sleuthing to get to the bottom of this pressing issue. The home with the pickleball court is 3630 JACKSON ST, and the woman complaining is Holly Anne Peterson, wife of Karl Peterson, who is a senior partner at TPG. Ridiculous.
This is the same and the people who bought a house near the garbage dump and then complained about the smell. The gall of the entitled. This is a packed city. If you want silence, move to the country
That has to be the best example of hypocrisy that I have ever heard of in my life. Got my cord out backyard, how can we shut down these public courts? Is the woman even aware or has the money stuffed her skull?
Invite the homeless to her property
SF residents looooooove are so authoritarian unless it comes to drugs, homeless, crime, grooming, and high costs.
They make balls that don't create such a loud popping noise. I play all the time but would not want to live too close to a public court.
Obviously, her pickle ball court at her mansion does not have 25 people hitting balls for 6 hours and probably very seldom gets used.
Why do I feel like it's a tennis court and not a pickleball court she has?
Why do I feel like you are correct..good observation!@@Skazellino
But nevertheless she wants 25 people to not enjoy what she has. Freedom loving?
This had to be said. Everyone wants to cry hypocrite without thinking things through reasonably.
They can enjoy it. There just needs to be a compromise. The noise is annoying. The balls they play with are terrible. Either move the courts to non residential areas, or make them indoors.@@harrykaant
Imagine complaining about ANYTHING when you can afford a $35 million mansion.....some people don't deserve that type of money.
Nobody does, really. When someone is that wealthy it's because a lot of hard workers were exploited by her husband.

Really lady do you hate people that much. So many people having fun and this lady is like what about the birds
Meanwhile, while they play pickle ball, the thieves are breaking their car windows, and stealing everything that isn’t nailed down😂😂😂
What could be more important than HOME VALUES??
Hi home values means $$$ to the city via property taxes. Those taxes in turn benefit all residents.
Social security payments, which is why all these old people can play pickle ball all day.
So an environmental review is actually for shutting down activities not safe guarding nature. Got it.😂
Yeah, lol, now we know how they do things under false pretense.
Its for the environment....!!!!
@@violent_bebop9687 Global Warming, the sea will rise, they fly in a private jet and live in an ocean front mansion. Check
Environment doesn't mean "nature". A city, or a neighborhood is an environment.
@@OmegaMouse You forgot the Pickle Court
"Environmental Reviews" are the tool of choice that NIMBYs in the SF Bay Area use to shut down activities they don't want. Homeowners and owners of rental housing in SF, Berkeley and Marin County are often the biggest offenders, as they seek to restrict the supply of housing in order to keep rents high.
Things weren't kosher. She soured and was salty. Probably bent slightly but then snapped. What a dilly. This one wasn't the sweet variety. She didn't relish those hot dogs at all.
I understand the frustration, but I would be more concerned about actual crimes around the city.
Oh no liberals believe crime is perfectly fine. Looting, car theft, murder. No big deal. Defund the police is their motto.
What's the best exercise? The one that people actually do. People actually play pickleball regularly. They don't just sit on the couch watching it and then talk about it around the water cooler at work (looking at you football). Pickleball is good for America because it's getting people off their couches and out exercising.
It’s not that loud unless you are walking right next to it. I’m sure if you close the window, They can’t hear it..
Pettiness has a positive correlation with wealth it seems.
Tennis is such a more pleasant sound.
You had me at pickle ball hypocrisy❤
Is this an SNL skit??🤣🤣
RICH LADY NORTH OF L.A..... MAKES O.A"s song so true !!!!!!
Where are Fred Armison and Carrie Brownstein? I couldn’t love this more! White people problems….. meanwhile the remainder of the city is Portland south. SF is one big joke.

im old and hate fun because i can
It’s not hypocrisy. It’s just like a swimming pool. You wouldn’t mind having a neighbor with a swimming pool, but you wouldn’t want them to have a public waterpark.
Thank you for common sense. You also would not want a public swimming pool built across from you that was open at 7 am, 7 days a week, year round.
No it’s more like having a private pool and opposing public pools. Nice try to twist it into something it’s not. C R I N G E boomer detected
Oh geez. Of all the 💩 happening in our world….
The humanity of it
Those public pickle ball courts are bad for the environment! MY pickle ball court is not!
They should put rubber covers on the paddles like table tennis
I'd rathet have that than gun shots or fireworks.
A similar thing happened at the courts where I play. People were showing up at 5 in the morning and the complaints from neighbors forced the people in charge of the Park to close it until 7 AM.
Goodmorning let's get to it leave people alone if someone wants to use pickle ball as a way of having a good time let them have a good time and if it's bothering you put some ear plugs in your ears have a great day ladiesand gentlemen
As a fellow San Franciscan, I completely understand their frustration. Last week a homeless guy pushed me because I wouldn't give him a dollar, so I slipped in a pile of his feces and when I put my hand down to brace my fall, I got pricked by a used needle lying on the ground and contracted AIDS. But these people have it much worse, I mean clackity-clack all day? My heart goes out to them.
Shut down the courts and let the homeless stay there with blue tarps.
Was the PB court there when they purchased their properties? Same issues as when ppl buy next to the airport and then complain about the airplanes.
are you kidding me?
How dare you plebes enjoy your public lands!
i hope that they extend the park open hours
Honestly as someone who goes for walks around pickleball courts I can understand what she means, it is insanely loud within 20 yards and within 50-75 you can still hear it. Its kinda crazy
her voice was waaaay more annoying than the sound of pickleball. If it was a fly fishing club on a stream in the back yard she would complain about the sound of fish splashing.
Pickleball for me, but not for thee. Ha! The world is yours. MOVE! Zero sympathy.

You can afford a $36 million home but can’t invest in double glazed windows????
Ignorant award goes too ☝️
@@TC-dw6wg Not sure how this is an ignorant comment? I used to live under a flight path for an airport with triple glazed casement windows. My landlord at the time put them in under a warranty and did it mostly for better heating but I noticed it reduced noise significantly. I would imagine double glazing would help with pickle ball noise. I didn't say the house would be completely soundproof. But please let me know how she should go about reducing noise. I am genuinely curious. Some houses in Presidio are quite old. Late 20s and 30s.
I though this was a game for senior citizens? Either way this game is the least of san Franciscos problems.
sounds like quite the pickle they are in
It's just Jumbo Size Ping Pong 🏓 !
You're telling me, that in the screwed up state of Commiefornia, in loonie-driven bay area, the best news you could come up with for this time slot.. is a noise complaint?
please respond with an angry email explaining that you"re not really a magarat, wishing that America would become an authoritarian theocracy with a dictator for a leader
And yet here you are commenting…
Set up a tent city there and see how long before she's petitioning to have it return to it's proper use as a pickle ball court.
WHATTTT!!!???? A hypocrite, "one rule for me and one for thee" Liberal? In San Francisco? WHAT IS THIS WORLD COMING TO?
Why not enhance the fence with sound absorbers?Seems to be enough money for innovation.
Require everybody to install sound absorbers around their courts. The woman who began the petition; oh no not me! I'm too entitled
is it
earth shattering?
I'd give it 5 more years. It will go the way of rollerblades.
Is there anything people won't complain about ?
Here is an obvious suggestion, with all of the vacant large building stores that closed down in bankruptcy like Sears, Macy’s , Kmart, Fry’s electronics and all others alike, why not convert all to pickle ball indoor community centers? This will also keep tennis players happy 😃 to keep outdoor tennis courts more available for tennis.
Then move the homeless tents from the Tendorloin in the courts...problem solve😂😂😂
Quote from Aerosmith song: EAT THE RICH. Go to the other side of your 35$ mil manson. Good grief.
The sport has really fermented a lot of unrest. People have soured on it.
Slept on comment.
Really? SMH ...t
Amazing what what rich Liberals are concerned about
If you can afford a $36 million house, you shouldn’t be allowed to complain about anything.
I know it's outside, but would noise dampening pads on the fences, or some other noise dampening/absorbing technology help? Maybe if they added some kind of cover across the top it would help as well.
That’s the first time I’ve ever seen pickle ball. I’ve heard of it but never seen it. I don’t get it. Just looks like tennis with a harder ball. Am I missing something?
