ICYMI, there is also a multidrop option in Twinmotion. Select one object in the library by simply clicking on it and hold the control key to select others objects. Now at each time you click in the viewport you will randomly add one object from your selection and because it's in the vegetation folder it will take a random rotation and a random scale.
Hey man You Have to make a presentation with Oculus quest. You will be the first one who will show the graphics level a Quest can offer in an Archviz presentation. And also if you ever get to do this try to see how to align the virtual model with the actual space you are trying to reference so virtual space can coexist with the real room plan.
thanks for the new and as always good video :-) it´s great that you can compose the palette of the desired items! Last weekend I played exactly with these features and tried to skatter grass on the surfaces of the model which should be grass ;-). instead I painted the grass everywhere, also on the streets and the walls of the house. How can I control where the skattering should take place and where not?
Maybe I'm missing it, but I'm finding there's a bit of a lack of fine control, especially when it comes to placing things like grass. It seems like your best bet is just to shrink your placement sphere so that it's a bit smaller than the area you're trying to place grass in. You could fill in the edges with individual grass from the library if you'd like. Maybe someone else on here knows a better way? I find the grass functions in Lumion to be much more precise...
@@TheRenderingEssentials I suppose (or at least hope !!!) that this can be done smarter spmehow than just hand painting - otherwise this tool wouldn´t bring any advantage because its a lot of effort to paint neatly along all the modell-boundaries. Thx a lot for this tutorial Justin! I did a lot of stuff with Lumion and I´m just playing around with Twinmotion. Isn't it possible - just like in Lumion - to place grass automatically linked with a single Material out of the cad? Another Question: Do you know if its possible to reload the CAD-(SketchUp)-Model after changing some things - and Twinmotion keeps all others things, like materials, plantings etc.? (just like in Lumion)
your videos are great..keep making these amazing tutorials..and I can't wait for Twinmotion 2020!!..is there any way to bring 3dsky or evermotion models right into the twinmotion ??
Hi, i have one problem. I've been working on one stadium project and i need white grass model that can be used for pitch border lines. Is there any option to create such material/texture and applay it on existing grass model, or find some other white grass model. Thanks fro your answer.
Hello Justin.. i love ur videos. And i want to ask a question about LOD OF GRASS AND TREES. I M unable to turn off LOD in rendering. I cant see grass and trees when i render in twinmotion. Its better option for view port. But it should appear in final render..pls twll me is that possible to turn off LOD in Twinmotion rendering.
It's not clear which version you are using? trial or commercial? because I do not have any such "nature" tool, so I cannot add grass as you indicate here, nor do I have a water cube or ocean option!
I do not know if I installed something wrong, but can it be that the Twinmotion is taking up more than 20MB of my computer? I can hardly work on my Sketschup model my computer is now so slow. I only need the program for simple renderings for Architectural presentacion.
Thanks mate! Amazing tutorial! The only thing I am actually hating of Twinmotion is software ppi resolution which is lower than my MacBook Pro OS and looks pixelated. I hope Epic is going to fix it.
Do you mean the actual UI elements are low resolution? I don't think I have a fix for that ;p - I'm assuming you don't mean the stuff in the window itself which can be adjusted using the quality settings?
@@TheRenderingEssentials Yep! Every part of the UI including the 3D window, menus, buttons and fonts. It's clearly a software bug, Twinmotion doesn't support Retina display. So annoying :( Btw thanks for sharing! I will follow your next tutorial.
Hi!) Friend there is a problem help. The thing is, how do I export a model from SketchUp to Twinmotion so I can edit it in Twinmotion? The fact that all models can not even move
Hello, I have a problem, you know how to urge twinmotion a new tree, it is an fbx file, the problem is that by doing so the leaves look square, so it has no transparency.
Sounds like your FBX file's leaves are made up of flat images whose transparency isn't working. You'll either have to adjust this in your modeling program or find a new tree
My skp model has low resolution within Twinmotion. (Images render at higher resolution than preview.) Might that be caused by Twinmotion settings or performance of my computer?
Twinmotion settings in your preferences drive the way these look - if it's set to a lower resolution, they'll look this way - be careful though, higher resolution settings will be more taxing on your PC
what u think , will be TM developing forward ? if yes they will ask for pay thats for sure and this is what is my question , how much do you think they will ask ?
Lol - anything I say would just be a guess. They have stated on their website that it's free until November, so I assume they'll start charging in November. No idea on cost - I'm not sure there's even a precedent for what that value would be from Epic Games
@@TheRenderingEssentials this whats bugs me a litlle , if i install TM now will i automatically be charged by epic after november or it will be new license agreement with price per month or year for example ?
I really enjoy your video for Twinmotion. Is it me, or the render is less real than Lumion ? The image looks washed out a bit. The colors are not sharp, and crisp as in Lumion. That said, I still enjoy it very much. Thank you Justin.
Well a lot of that might be driven by the speed at which I'm generating these tutorials as well - I'm not able to spend quite as much time as I'd like on the final image (you know, since I have a day job too ;p) . You can adjust those different render settings in Twinmotion, I just haven't gotten to those in depth in a video yet. It's probably fair to assume that if the results are substandard, it's due to the operator, not the software :) - lol
It has nothing to do with your work. When I look at other peoples work on UA-cam I noticed that Lumion on as a sharper final image. I am aware that there is very good results with twinmotion. But it looks like it’s a lot of more work to get it done. Again just to make sure, I wasn’t commenting your work. Your work is always super.
No problem at all - honestly, because I've been rushed, I haven't been able to focus too much on better realism because I'm still trying to teach the basics - there are some fundamental things like setting up custom materials, better context models, etc that I haven't had too much of a chance to do yet that I'd like to do soon :)
Hello sir, please do a video for “photorealistic rendering settings in twinmotion”. Same video which you’ve made on lumion. Please we need that. Because many rendering output from twinmotion doesn’t look realistic it’s more look like animated.
The Rendering Essentials first thing, I’m grateful to your response on my comments sir. And my reply to your comment is, yeah indeed there’re a lots of time consuming settings in it, but we need to learn those things because for our academic purposes this software is best because of its rendering speed. And it should be realistic enough to make my sheets fabulous. So it’s request sir please make one video.
The Rendering Essentials by the way sir I’m learning v-ray through your tutorials so I’m really thankful to you for that. Sending regards from India, to you and your channel, my best wish it to grow beyond your expectations.😊
Never used speed tree before, but are you sure it's an issue with your sunlight settings? Also, can you export as a different format and try importing that?
That's a complicated question that really depends on what you're looking for - speed, cost, quality, future possibilities, PC speed requirements, object libraries, object placement tools, etc all play a role. It's great. Lumion is great.
From my limited use of both, I would probably pick Lumion. I think the quality of the renders is close for both of them. PC resources seems a bit heavier with Lumion. But if find that, in Lumion there are more of the "Everday objects" that make your renders come to life. Plus there are people in the sitting position in Lumion and none that I have found in Twinmotion. I'll be waiting on a bump map video from Justin if he has it on his to-do-list. But for now, until I can afford Lumion you can't beat the price for what you do get from Twinmotion.
STILL either one - both create great images depending on how well you set them up - I will say I think Lumion has a better object library with more realistic looking objects at the moment, but even then if you have a library of realistic objects, you could just import them in Twinmotion. I do feel like Lumion gives you a lot more control over your final image right now, especially with the way it does grass and adds skies and backgrounds
