Thanks for ANOTHER good video! I learned by accident many years ago that if I had a largish and/or dayglow sight on my guns that my eye ALWAYS got pulled back to the gun leading to even more misses than I normally have.
The "accident" was that I borrowed a shotgun with a simple metal bead for a day of International Skeet shooting and it was easier for me to keep target focus with that combo. I did a bit of experimenting and now have either a simple small brass or steel bead on my guns. This lesson was reinforced a couple of weeks ago when I was shooting with friends and one of them let me shoot his 725 as I'm thinking about picking up a new target gun. He has a BRIGHT dayglow sight on his gun and due to how my eyes/mind processes things it was a train wreck.
Thanks again and I look forward to your videos.

watched a few of your vids... ive been doing shotgun sports and hunting since i was 11 years old. when i was 13 i helped demonstrate the new (for the time ) S&W shotgun for their marketers (my only claim to fame). I believe in many of the things you teach in your videos and by extension your camps. I will say this there is as in all things a spot for talent. to keep it simple 24 of 25 in trap isnt not a problem... its why you missed that 1, for me its the bird to the right...cant seem to over come it at my now 59 years of age. just food for thought.

Great tip, as usual. (I must remember to tape a can of soda to the rib of my wife's gun! Just for the lolz 😂🤣😂)

Good day Russell, I just started watching your vids and you are on point man. I dig your stuff! I was wondering if you might be able to do a video on your preferred point of impact for all of the different disciplines? I have participated in American Trap, American Skeet and Sporting using a different point of impact for each. I have had success with 100 percent high pattern in American trap and probably about 80/20 for American skeet, but have struggled a bit with bringing my POI down to 50/50 for sporting. I feel like it makes it harder for me to see the target. If you have already done and don't mind pointing me in the right direction that would be great too. Anyway, keep up the good work and cheers, all the way from Texas!

I know we have done one on this topic and I believe it is scheduled in December 2020. You will enjoy it I hope.

    Hello Mr Mark,
I am a new shooter(4 months in) and have been watching your videos(thank you!). I had a gun fit a few days ago and the instructor gave me fit with 70/30 pattern and later suggested removing the front bead. After removing the bead it seems I am missing low on the targets and my scored on american trap has gone from 20+ to sub 10 range. Do you suggest putting the bead back on ? Or may be patterning with and without the front bead.
Edit: I shot again and improved to 18/25 without the bead. It seems that removing the bead made me "close the gap" between the barrel and the target which was otherwise filled by the bead and therefore I am missing up. Also, I noticed I was missing to the left or right more often.

I think the majority of the world need to know where the end of their barrel is. The front bead helps do this.
