Come into THE CIRCLE - feat. IBO KNÖPP on guitar

This is a first small excerpt from my new album "CIRCLE" (will be released in a few weeks ...). The song is called "Friends".
I have known Ibo the longest of all my fellow musicians. He was the singer and guitarist in the first band I played in. That was at the end of the nineties - and we tried to establish progressive rock in the Wetterau with "Awaken". At least we got as far as a contest in Frankfurt's Sinkkasten 😉 .
Already during this time, a deep friendship developed between us, with many long and profound conversations. And the fact that Ibo lived opposite the legendary alternative club "Black Inn" in Ranstadt was somehow very fitting.
I have always appreciated his warm, open and always positive nature - his tolerance and the great respect he shows to others. He can fall into a veritable "creative frenzy" that can hardly be stopped. Especially not by the onset of night.
I was allowed to produce and mix his 1st album "Sunny Roads" together with him - and during this time I learned even more about his personal story, which is very moving. On his 2nd album "One Day" there was the song "Brown Eyes Got Blue", in which he tells about saying goodbye in his childhood days. His friends in Turkey at the time were afraid that they would not be able to recognise their playmate later, because in faraway Germany, where Ibo travelled, ALL people were blond and had blue eyes, and he would surely get them too.
"Friends" tells this story from my point of view as his friend. And I am very happy that he also became part of this song musically - with a wonderful, sensitive acoustic guitar part. Ibo is also part of the song "He's still listening".
