As a first time iPad user who has the 12.9 inch m1 iPad, the blooming is very noticeable to me. I watch HBO MAX a lot usually with full brightness and whenever there is darker scenes you see alot of blooming and it’s hard to ignore. Even when it’s a black screen okay different apps and words appear there is a decent amount as blooming. May not be as bad as those over exposed pictures circulating but to the naked eye it’s like a 6/10 noticeable to me. All in all I still really love this iPad and I wouldn’t return it just because of blooming.
Was literally coming to comment this exactly. I know this is an older comment, but I've been testing the 11 in and 12.9 as of late and have found that watching game of thrones has had super bad blooming. It may be how HBO Max does their subtitles, but it has not been an enjoyable experience. Candles have huge blooming around them in dark scenes that just are not noticeable on my MacBook Pro
update: decided to sell my ipad a few months ago, just really didn’t use it as much and being used to watching media nowadays on OLED, i couldn’t get myself to to watch anything on the iPad.

I've had the 12.9 iPad Pro and found this pretty annoying TBH. UA-cam player controls (or any other player) when video is stopped on a black background is the most real life scenario. But I also noticed it around the subtitles on Netflix. Whenever the subtitles showed up on darker scenes, the area around them would very subtly brighten up, and it was very distracting. Brightness was 30-40%.
Absolutely. Perfectly noticeable and distracting when just having video controls pop up during dark scenes. The white controls are annoyingly lit up all around them. Also any dark scenes in movies with slight bright details have a noticeable halo. These videos are clearly made to downplay a clear issue on a display which is costly af. Very dishonest and misleading, bottom line
To all of you who are deciding whether to get an M1 12.9 iPad Pro, let me tell you that I watched these kind of UA-cam videos I convinced myself blooming wouldn’t be that bad, oh boy was I wrong . Dark mode is just awful on this screen. Whenever there was a black screen with anything brilliant on it blooming was present . I could’ve lived with it if it had been just a little “glow”, but it was a 1-in glow around anything white. It was present at every brightness level in dark pitch rooms and partial black rooms. It is a shame such a nice and expensive device has this much of blooming. I just returned mine today. Maybe it was just my unit but I won’t risk getting a replacement and having the same or worse blooming.
Bro, My Ipad pro 12.9 M1 delivered today to India to my home.. I am using it since more than 1 hour now. I dont see any blooming effect or any such issues in my ipad.. Even if it is there, it must be very microscopic which i cannot notice.. Simply people are making a Big issue out of it. There is nothing major.. Its a GEM of a Ipad , feels proud to own it 😊😊 . The picture clarity and netflix videos are seriously mindblowing ❤❤👌👌😊😊. Feels very Happy i purchased 12.9 instead of 11 inch. Great to watch movies here and multitasking on screen 😊😊
I did notice the blooming the most when at night reading books/web pages with black background white letters. Much enough where I just decided to get the 2020 version while it was on sale.
For me when i am using the ipad pro 12.9" at lowest brightness in a dark room while watching movie and browsing around, i could see the blooming. I do not know weather its because of different region product but i would say that mine has a really obvious blooming. In a well lit room tho, "Sweeeeeet".
I noticed a little bit of blooming on mine, but not enough to really affect me in any way. What I also noticed is that I can't tell how much of it's because I wear glasses and that when you go into a very dark environment to test the amount of bloom your eyes will need time to adjust to any sudden form of fine bright light, so there's always going to be a little fuzziness when you do that.
The blooming manifests as a slight blur on your 2021 iPad Pro. It is slight but the whole point of buying the 12.9” over the 11” is the superior display. If they are equivalent in blooming, that’s not acceptable to me. And it also appears to be very inconsistent between iPads. Some perform well, others don’t.
The halo effect can also be caused by your own eyesight… if you have small irregularities in your cornea this will cause objects to become less sharp on the edges
I love my 11". It's perfect the way it is. Just turn down the brightness to about 1/8 and enjoy dark blacks and vibrant colors. That's usually the brightness I keep for all my devices anyway. About 1/4 to 1/8 of the way depending on device architecture.

I see blooming with 12.9 M1 when drawing in procreate even withOUT extreme (white form on black background in dark room) conditions. Looks like color bleed in procreate. Is this something that Apple can fix with software updates or is this hardware related? Trying to decide whether I should keep the 12.9 M1 or wait until the new release.
Just unboxed mine yesterday. I must say, the blooming is there -but if nobody asked me to point it out, I wouldn’t naturally notice it unless I was LOOKING for something wrong with it. Even then, it’s not bad like some people online have made it seem. Also, the screen contrast ratio is not properly represented in videos. I have both the 11 and 12.9 and the 12.9 display is really impressive in brightness and contrast ratio.
I just bought one a week ago. I didn’t know anything about this issue. I installed os15 and ever since I cant use dark mode at all. It’s annoying to see huge white shades on a black screen. I will take it to the apple store and see what they suggest. I hope its not issue with all iPads because I don’t like the smaller one
Also, I do artwork on black backgrounds so I work with glow effects and that blooming gives false perception of color bleeding. So it's a definite No-Go for me. The 11" doesn't glow around the edges of brush strokes so the strokes don't translate falsely when viewed on a different screen
There is blooming for specific use cases. I like to use my iPad Pro at night before sleep with the lights off. And I notice considerable blooming. Still thinking of returning and maybe buying next year when apple is rumored to sell oled iPads.

There is a blooming when you watch in dark room and with full brightness ,white text on black background , you will see it , I saw it also in bright room once , so the issue is there but its not noticeable all the time , and also the camera will make it worse when you take a photo , not sure if this screen worth the money or you can get the same performance with 11 inch
I don’t know why people keep trying to find these “gates” with Apple products. Every single piece of tech is gonna have a few flaws here and there, why the need to make a controversy about it. Anyway, thanks for clearing that up.
It's good the criticize and find these faults, it helps investors and customers understand a product while researching and prevents them from being caught in the mainstream hype and brainless fanboy/girl loyalty. I'd say the real issue is that they're exaggerated and are unfairly emphasized too. A lot of scary photos without real research or sources are being posted, which scare a lot of mainstream people looking for a device to buy away.
They're obvious. Not trying to. I recently bought a MBP M1 and the first one I got I returned and got a second one, because the first one had uneven lighting/color on the screen (left side was cooler and the right side was warmer). But the second one I received is the same (a bit less noticeable but still uneven). Also, my previous MBA had the same issue, I just didn't bother sending it back at the time. It's a shame. I would not expect this from Apple!
Thank you for this great comparison! After having my new 12,9 iPad Pro 2021 for two weeks now this is exactly what I have experienced too and “blooming” is not a real life issue.
Just try to maximize the brightness and you will see it at edges. BTW , if you will say that you will never reach this brightness. You should expect that true tone can increase the brightness automatically if you are using ipad under sun.
Thanks so much for doing such a great video comparison regarding this topic. I haven’t heard much about the blooming since they were released.. How do you feel about the blooming issue a year later. Also, have you noticed any blooming on the new 2022 pro 12.9 or have they corrected it.
This is also my first iPad and on a dark background the blooming is very obvious. Well I still use it but I never noticed this on OLED. Still not a deal breaker.
Excellent video. This is why in my opinion you do the best reviews etc…..you stay neutral, stay clear and informative and know exactly what you are doing. The blooming issue explained excellently! Thank you. Keep up the great work!
Maybe i'm crazy, but i prefer the way the 2020 IPad HDR video looks, especially at 5:08. The M1 IPad takes away the contrast fome, or maybe it's the camera, or my Tab S7 Plus. Anyway, i don't think the blooming is such a big deal as many said, or maybe, again, it's the way anyone complaining about it set their cameras up. Anyway, everyone's eyes are different, with different issues, so that would be the biggest factor. By the way, i'm not an expert, and my eyes are sensitive, so i prefer more contrast than brightness.
Nice video! Thanks to your professional view, I don't need to be so worried about my placed iPad Pro 12.9 inch. By the way, in general, do you think the iPad Pro is so easy to be bent when not used alongside a case? iPad Pro is great but its durability is still questionable to me :)
„You might see something“. To everybody: the blooming effect ist huge. It is disturbing in the dark. And if you move your head slightly to the side you won’t be able to ignore it at all! It is indeed a horrible experience.
None of the Blooming you have shown comes even close to what I experience on my Ipad M1 12.9. In Netflix I percieve the Blooming as very bothering. After spending 1800 Euros - I realized I should have sticked to my 12. (2017)
You didn’t answer his question though. The normal iPad should be enough size-wise, I would take at least an iPad Air, because I don’t like the home button. It comes down to personal preference.
Good work buddy... You are doing fantastic job here. Always loving your reviews. Keep it up..❤️ But while scrolling comments, found some people that have serious problems with those users who complains about Apple products, taking a side of apple and trying to whitewash the mistake of company by some silly arguments and justifications. Apple products are overpriced. I have no problems with it. I'm using many tech gadgets including of apple. But when people spend a huge amount of money, their expectations in every aspects need nearly 100% perfection. When i buy any cheap priced android mobile, i don't care about blooming. But Ipad pro is costly thing. Most of the people thinks before buying 100 times (That's why tech review channels are growing enormously) and after buying they deserve to be satisfied. Because no companies do charities to their customers. It's as simple as that. Not just apple products, this happens to every products and services in the market. Give me one valid reason why question should not be arised on apple? P.s. I returned ipad prp 12.9 inch due to blooming issue.
It's because my exposure on the camera is set and the HDR is so bright. To show it properly, I would have to lower my exposure on the camera. Good eye!
Hi . For me I noticed the blooming while I was watching a Marvel movie on Disney + . When you rewind or forward the icon at the bottom raise from the screen and they are white and you can see blooming around them .
It's simple. It's there, don't try to excuse it, its tech is known to have it, sadly. Your "tests" weren't really tests for the job, you would need to use typical monitor/TV lightning/brightness benchmark/testing to see it clearly, movement of black/white objects in corresponding white/black background. If you're an artist the Blooming will be there, A LOT. Right away actually, on a white canvas, in a drawing app, you notice right away the darken blooming on the edges of the screen, compared any other newer tablet screen type. Unless you turn certain lightning options off, which you should anyway. It's like the prior Ipad pros, You always turned true tone off, because it messed with the color accuracy too much, for an artist. It is clear there are areas that have different brightness levels, or how fast they update/change. TV brightness/lightning tech tests, might showcase it better, if they can be used on these tablets too. And if so, might also help how to lessen the measure of which this affects it. As it stands now, the Ipad pro 11" might be the better choice for artists, if color accuracy and being able to "trust", what you see on your canvas, is equal to the final product. Same actually happens sometimes between the Samsung Tab s7 and the s7+, where the non plus is less of a 'burden' in color accuracy / white/black levels, in how the final art piece will be, since certain color options, to make things "pop" on the tablet, might look completely wrong on every other screen. Hence why certain options on both Ipad pro and Samsung's top display lines, have to be adjusted or turned off. In the end, for the consumer these brightness things probably don't matter but for artists, this is just another layer of headaches, which aren't really there on the 11" version. A shame Apple didn't also make a 12.9" version without the miniled. Since there is supply issues with that tech anyways.
I wonder if the Night Settings have anything to do with it. Using the logic that the majority of people that are experiencing this at night and the night settings might make the blooming show more. I noticed it on mine and I do have the night shift set to “sunrise to sunset” and I pulled up the settings menu in my room with the lights off and you can really see it. I also wonder if its a certain population of iPads that have this issue however, for me it was very noticeable… on everyday use… never really notice it. M1 iPad Pro 12.9” with Cellular 1Tb model
Record a video by deactivating XDR and activating it to see if there is a difference or not and if by deactivating XDR the blooming problem disappears.
@@vadelafuente Stop LYING. Blooming happens on ALL of these Mini LED LCD iPad Pros. They all use Full Array Local Dimming which is the cause of blooming. Stop spreading misinformation.
I notice the difference, but it's not severe. I'm wary to say that it doesn't matter, however. These are expensive pieces of hardware and near perfection should be the goal. Especially with light bleed and Apple's constant, "The display is the best" touting.
@@TechGearTalk a couple of days ago, I was watching the conjuring 3 on HBO and I noticed the booming. I turned off the lights and put the screen Britney’s about half way and I could clearly see it. Sometimes it would be distracting.
So as you had a full backlit screen on your „BLOOMING“ picture something went wrong in your test on the M1. The blooming should be noticeable only in a small area around the text. Rest of the screen should be full black. The blooming is 100% noticeable even when brightness is set to the lowest setting in a dark room. And to be honest. When do you need the full black on a screen? Right. When its dark and you don’t want to have a grey black. That’s the advantage of OLED screens. If you have daylight around you, you don’t need an OLED screen. The blacks will be black even on a LCD/LED screen. I will not sent my M1 iPad back, but blooming is there and your test did not show it how it is in real world.
@@TechGearTalk i agree with him. I’m facing this issue when the brightness is above 60%. It’s so noticeable and edges becomes like blue . Try to use it on apple notes in dark mode and brightness is at the max.
I trust this review but I do believe that people are not just complaining to complain. I think all devices are not made at aqual quality and some have trouble. Because even in the comments I'm seeing people saying that their unit was not like this. They're not lying they're just unlucky.
Great job testing all these... I agree it’s definitely overblown, I do think there is a possibility some people got defective iPads but I don’t think it’s a big percentage at all!
I don’t plan on updating my 2018 11” iPad Pro. It’s more of a complimentary device to the M1 MacBook Air I plan to purchase next week for the start of school. Your videos helped me make the decision to get a laptop rather than trading in my iPad, so thanks!
The blooming is barely noticeable unless when I watch a movie that has a black background with something very bright moving in it. For example the movie Soul towards the beginning when his “soul” is on the escalator to heaven. That scene was the best test I could use for the blooming. Otherwise, I barely see it.
This is just my opinion as a random person on the internet: My personal look on the blooming is that is is definitely there…and it’s useless trynna cover it up….. But like Sagi demonstrated in the video The requirements to get blooming as bad as you’ll see on the internet would require such an extreme use case. (This may sound a bit Apple Fanboy-ish) But again my look on the blooming scenario is that it’s heavily overplayed… Again it being overplayed doesn’t mean it isn’t there. If the blooming you see on the internet is a deciding factor for you *not* to buy the iPad then you may want to reconsider (not saying you have to) Either way the iPad pros 2021 and 2020 (maybe even the 2018 iPad Pro) along with the tab s7+ have pretty damn good displays… and putting the blooming away I think what’s best to get is what best fits your use case Great vid Sagi your explanation on the whole situation was great! Keep up the awesome work
I see a problem with your test that doesn't represent what I experienced the first time trying to watch Netflix in bed. The blooming was horrible. Turn down the brightness! When you turn up the brightness it makes the blooming go away but makes the content unwatchable in a dark room.
There are people who are trying to gain clicks by using a slight of hand They are taking photos at an angle on a old phone, in a very dark environment with cranked up brightness. The phone camera sees light differently from how humans sees light. I have tested the crap out of it, even with extremem situations, Unfortunately, light has to obey the laws of physics. So there is slight light bleed but not as bad as they say. Yes it does have shadows along the edges when on the white background, but the blooming on how they claimed, nope.
Great video bro. One test suggestion: watching video scene that has star blinking in the pitch dark sky, definitely will put real pressure on LCD screen with LED backlit local dimming including Mini LED. Typically OLED will fare much better in this test as each pixel is controlling the zoning instead of the backlight panel. Still, these tests are mainly for stress testing the capability of the screen and definitely will never be deal breaker for most peoples plus the iPad Pro XDR screen is still an impressive feat of engineering for mobile devices. My 2 cents, cheers :D
If you try the app from Apple in dark room with less than 20% brightness, you will see very interesting phenomenon. And you can even see these mini LED turn on and off when switching between alarm and timer 🥳
Funny when you view your ipads from side with an angle, You do blurr the 2021 ipads. That's hypocritical, man. You blurred it cause the bloom really shows at this angle.
Why do the UA-camrs’ think that all iPads being produced are exactly the same. Apple has many suppliers with more suppliers that make different parts with lots of deviations and variances. One might have more blooming than another. 😂
Thank you for this testing. However I do see blooming effect on my iPad. Please try again and watch Captain Marvel in a dark room, in 0:35 when the screen is all black and then you will definitely see blooming effect around the words “thank you Stan”. If not, then I’m the unlucky one to have a broken iPad Pro :(
I agree whites are whiter I noticed so that is a big difference alone but they look fine to me and I think your right the blacker background makes white look even brighter

What little blooming i could see was pretty much the same across your iPads. I’m with you I wouldn’t notice it if you had not pointed it out to me.
Thank you for contributing David!
But bloomgate sounds so cool 😂🤣
Appreciate the level-headed approach Jovan!
I Have one and blooming at least for me is very noticeable in a dark room and low brightness actually instead of high brightness
I call this quality content. A real life comparison between all types of display was just what i needed
So glad you found it useful!
Thanks so much for doing such a great video comparison regarding this topic. I haven’t heard much about the blooming since they were released.. How do you feel about the blooming issue a year later. Also, have you noticed any blooming on the new 2022 pro 12.9 or have they corrected it.
I never get the iPad Pro 12.9 because it’s too big. But this year it’s hard to Believe what others have said.
Good perspective. I do think people need to consider the size - pros and cons.
This effect even happens when you increase/decrease you volume on any iPhone when watching a video on landscape mode.
Oh wow, thanks so much Greg 🙏🏻
Maybe i'm crazy, but i prefer the way the 2020 IPad HDR video looks, especially at 5:08. The M1 IPad takes away the contrast fome, or maybe it's the camera, or my Tab S7 Plus. Anyway, i don't think the blooming is such a big deal as many said, or maybe, again, it's the way anyone complaining about it set their cameras up.
Anyway, everyone's eyes are different, with different issues, so that would be the biggest factor.
By the way, i'm not an expert, and my eyes are sensitive, so i prefer more contrast than brightness.
Thank you for watching and for sharing your perspective.
I think my eyes are sensitive to it, but when my friend was showing me a video on Netflix with the M1 12.9 ipad I noticed a glow on peoples skin tones
Nice video! Thanks to your professional view, I don't need to be so worried about my placed iPad Pro 12.9 inch. By the way, in general, do you think the iPad Pro is so easy to be bent when not used alongside a case? iPad Pro is great but its durability is still questionable to me :)
I appreciate “testing” - so I really like the approach you’ve taken to this
Thanks so much Dave
maybe there were a couple of faulty screens and people went crazy!? Good sharing!
I wish I had a few to test
„You might see something“. To everybody: the blooming effect ist huge. It is disturbing in the dark. And if you move your head slightly to the side you won’t be able to ignore it at all! It is indeed a horrible experience.
None of the Blooming you have shown comes even close to what I experience on my Ipad M1 12.9. In Netflix I percieve the Blooming as very bothering. After spending 1800 Euros - I realized I should have sticked to my 12. (2017)
As a medical student which inches ipad is good for good writing
Along with watching movies webseries
Plzz tell
Absolutely.
You didn’t answer his question though.
The normal iPad should be enough size-wise, I would take at least an iPad Air, because I don’t like the home button. It comes down to personal preference.
Good work buddy... You are doing fantastic job here. Always loving your reviews. Keep it up..❤️
But while scrolling comments, found some people that have serious problems with those users who complains about Apple products, taking a side of apple and trying to whitewash the mistake of company by some silly arguments and justifications.
It’s so weird that the camera makes the highlights on the HDR video look blown out on the M1. I know they’re not, but what I see here looks that way.
It's because my exposure on the camera is set and the HDR is so bright. To show it properly, I would have to lower my exposure on the camera. Good eye!
@@TechGearTalk Ahh, makes sense.
Excellent explanation and I appreciate your putting this into proper context. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful Chris!
Hi . For me I noticed the blooming while I was watching a Marvel movie on Disney + . When you rewind or forward the icon at the bottom raise from the screen and they are white and you can see blooming around them .
Is there significant difference in image quality on older pros compared to mini led, for general photo and non hdr videos.
Why would someone have brightness on full in a dark room anyway?
is blooming a bad thing? its the first time ive heard of the term.
Its angel thing
Technically - yes. Because it’s not as clean an image. But in my real-life experience - it hasn’t been a problem.
oh okay thanks!
Man I wish I could buy it ,But in india the base variant of 12.9 inch ipad pro cost $274 dollars more than its US counterpart
oh wow
Have you tested the stars on space? It is clean or bloom?
Since you’re a photographer, you might try taking a time lapse photo of the 3 screens and compare the results.
What is the difference between 1080p and HDR?
I wonder if the Night Settings have anything to do with it. Using the logic that the majority of people that are experiencing this at night and the night settings might make the blooming show more. I noticed it on mine and I do have the night shift set to “sunrise to sunset” and I pulled up the settings menu in my room with the lights off and you can really see it. I also wonder if its a certain population of iPads that have this issue however, for me it was very noticeable… on everyday use… never really notice it.
M1 iPad Pro 12.9” with Cellular 1Tb model
When I saw the brightness at 100%, I was like "MY RETINAS!".
Took a while for me to regain my vision 😂🤣
I always have my devices set to 100% brightness😂
Record a video by deactivating XDR and activating it to see if there is a difference or not and if by deactivating XDR the blooming problem disappears.
People just love to complain. Its an extremely great machine.
I really like mine. Appreciate you watching!
@@TechGearTalk apparently happens for just some devices :( I got bad luck with mine
@@vadelafuente Stop LYING.
Blooming happens on ALL of these Mini LED LCD iPad Pros. They all use Full Array Local Dimming which is the cause of blooming.
Stop spreading misinformation.
Stating facts does not mean someone is complaining.
@@WidePhotographs Exactly. 😂😂😂
I notice the difference, but it's not severe. I'm wary to say that it doesn't matter, however. These are expensive pieces of hardware and near perfection should be the goal. Especially with light bleed and Apple's constant, "The display is the best" touting.
I did noticed blooming in the kindle app on my iPad. I will try it again tomorrow. Amazing video!
Appreciate the input.
any updates?
I appreciate the feedback.
I really like how you give honest opinions
So glad to hear that
Great job testing all these... I agree it’s definitely overblown, I do think there is a possibility some people got defective iPads but I don’t think it’s a big percentage at all!
I appreciate you sharing Oscar!
I’ve noticed the blooming very little but it isn’t something that’s made me regret buying 12.9” iPad
👍🏻
I don’t plan on updating my 2018 11” iPad Pro. It’s more of a complimentary device to the M1 MacBook Air I plan to purchase next week for the start of school. Your videos helped me make the decision to get a laptop rather than trading in my iPad, so thanks!
So glad I could help - thank you for sharing your process!
The blooming is barely noticeable unless when I watch a movie that has a black background with something very bright moving in it. For example the movie Soul towards the beginning when his “soul” is on the escalator to heaven. That scene was the best test I could use for the blooming. Otherwise, I barely see it.
Appreciate you sharing!!!
This is just my opinion as a random person on the internet:
My personal look on the blooming is that is is definitely there…and it’s useless trynna cover it up…..
But like Sagi demonstrated in the video
The requirements to get blooming as bad as you’ll see on the internet would require such an extreme use case.
(This may sound a bit Apple Fanboy-ish)
But again my look on the blooming scenario is that it’s heavily overplayed…
Again it being overplayed doesn’t mean it isn’t there.
If the blooming you see on the internet is a deciding factor for you *not* to buy the iPad then you may want to reconsider (not saying you have to)
Either way the iPad pros 2021 and 2020 (maybe even the 2018 iPad Pro) along with the tab s7+ have pretty damn good displays… and putting the blooming away I think what’s best to get is what best fits your use case
Great vid Sagi your explanation on the whole situation was great!
Keep up the awesome work
Thank you so much 🙏🏻
Thank you so much for explaining exactly what blooming is!!
Glad it was helpful!
Great content sagi I did not knew that there were any blooming issues on the m1 ipad pro💯💯 great info.
Thanks so much for the feedback! Yeah, people were complaining about it so I was testing it out.
@@TechGearTalk that's so kind of you💯
These UA-camrs are blowing this blooming issue way out of proportion .....it's barely noticeable
Hopefully that is what you got from the video
Appreciate the content 😃
Hope it was helpful
All these reviewers "not noticing anything", yet in comments, many people attest to seeing it. Suspicious
I see a problem with your test that doesn't represent what I experienced the first time trying to watch Netflix in bed. The blooming was horrible. Turn down the brightness! When you turn up the brightness it makes the blooming go away but makes the content unwatchable in a dark room.
I appreciate you contributing and sharing your experience 👍🏻

There are people who are trying to gain clicks by using a slight of hand
They are taking photos at an angle on a old phone, in a very dark environment with cranked up brightness.
I agree that a phone camera with all the computational photography going on is not the right tool
Thanks for the input!
Thank you for going through all the trouble to do that it was very interesting appreciate it
So glad it was helpful Ron! Thank you for being part of the channel!
If you try the app from Apple in dark room with less than 20% brightness, you will see very interesting phenomenon. And you can even see these mini LED turn on and off when switching between alarm and timer 🥳
No one complains on 2020 whole screen blooming aka Gray scren!!!
True
There's blooming on all HDR LCD screens when in HDR mode. More zones = smaller bloom.

Put the screen brightness on max ffs
This will be my first iPad. And what I'm most annoyed by is that it will take over a month to be delivered. 😭
CONGRATS!! That month will go by quickly! (when you look back)
Funny when you view your ipads from side with an angle, You do blurr the 2021 ipads.

This video is blooming terrific! LOL Great job!
Ha! Nicely done.

However I do see blooming effect on my iPad.
Please try again and watch Captain Marvel in a dark room, in 0:35 when the screen is all black and then you will definitely see blooming effect around the words “thank you Stan”.

If most people view the iPad at around 50% brightness, what is the benefit of having a brighter screen with the new M1?
The brighter display with the M1 is used when viewing HDR content
Using it outdoors or brightly lit rooms?!
Where do you get that most people use it at 50%? Can I get a link for that?
@@toptiertech7291 Sure, you're on it. He said in the video that you're commenting on.
