Luv the happy ending. “I got my low end torque back” Priceless I recently acquired a SC430 and it is silky smooth cruising like no other. LC500 will be next and if I win the lottery, Lexus LFA here I come.
Just purchased mine, going custom from the cats back with T304 mandrel bent stainless steel 2 x-pipes dual mega phones 1792 resonators burns stainless steel race mufflers with all V-bands.🔥
wow awesome sound and vid. you listed the corsa pro universal muffler and 1792 resonators - is that it? What other exhaust mods do you have, an X-pipe is mentioned in comments? Just looking to duplicate your setup - thanks!
I’ve had both the Megan downpipe and midpipe on this car. Lots of low end drone. Plus they kept sending me the incorrect flange doughnut gaskets resulting in hissing exhaust leaks at WOT.
This thing sounds good man! I'm selling my Boxster real soon to finally get one of these (I've always wanted an SC430) and I was intending on doing the classic muffler delete and DynoMax Race Bullets, but drone was a big concern with it being a Lexus for me, I want it to be loud but tame at times. I was originally thinking of trying to find a valved exhaust system so it can really be either or, but this setup seems like a really solid option! One question, do you know what size muffler you went with? Was it their 3.0 inch "for v8 muscle"? I've only ever gotten Magnaflow mufflers before but Corsa seems to be solid!
Bullets are only about 6” long so they won’t resonator much sound- haha. Look up SC430 Exhaust Addicts and you can hear the Bullets for yourself. They sound tinny, like a resonator delete setup. 10 -12” resonators is the sweet spot for the throaty V8 sounds. Valved exhausts are too pricey IMO. I’ve had Magnaflow on other cars - don’t do it! You’ll be disappointed. Low end drone for sure! I went with the 2.5” Corsa Universal Muffler “CP2500S” option as the car is 2.25” stock. I promise these are QUIET and LOUD like a factory tuned exhaust. Thanks for watching!
@@beaunozautozTo achieve this exhaust note, could you please tell me your exhaust set up, did you only use the Corsa universal muffler 2.5 and that's it? Everything else is stock (exhaust pipes, etc)
Seems odd that going from a straight-thru "axle-back" to straight-thru mufflers would make ANY difference in low-end torque. Did you add the x-pipe when you swapped to your last config? (Yeah, x-pipes typically help in higher revs too...though I wouldn't be surprised. (Less so about the addition of an x-pipe -- for sure)
Correct, X-Pipes were added in the last config. I feel the addition of mufflers and the x-pipe versus straight pipe is what brought the low-end torque back (butt dyno).
I prefer my STOCK setup. Refined like a fine Rolex...not like some kid's Mustang GT with Flowmasters. But then, I'm an old Geezer. These are GREAT cars!
Hey i just got a muffler delete and am faced with that same drone at 1.8k to 2.5k rpm which is especially pronounced in traffic. Would the best way to remove this be with the resonators? or do the corsa pro mufflers help more? strapped for cash so looking for the most cost effective solution. Thanks for posting! (p.s. also ordered the throttle controller to see if new throttle would help "skip" through that 1.8k-2.5k range by speeding thru it on throttle press.
@@AnotherSaltyEngineer I haven’t found a cheaper alternative than the Corsa Pro Series. Factory quiet at cruise, loud as heck on hard acceleration. I spent much more in failed attempts to eliminate the drone before breaking down and buying the Corsa’s. Spend the money once and be done with it.
@@beaunozautoz noted! and what about having a J pipe, the frequency seems to be pretty isolated to a single peak. Would you say this is a viable approach? Exhaust shop is quoting me 600 in just parts for the corsa pro while J pipe is ~300
underrated cars man. Love it
Couldn't agree more!
amazing sound bro! And beautiful lexus!
A music enjoyer as well!

This type of exhaust setup should have come from factory that sounds really nice 👌
Very cool exhaust set up! Curious of your suspension and wheel offset? Would be great to have a walk around and mods! Youve got good taste.
Sounds great man!

Glad you found the sound you were looking for. Enjoy
Sounds amazing! What did your set up (parts and labor) cost?
so happy for you, my turn! :P
Did you get this setup as well?

This sounds really nice. I was thinking about doing megan mid pipes, vibrant resonators, and borla mufflers.

@@beaunozautoz maybe I should stick with the stock midpipe then.
What size piping did you go with?
I want this exact setup on my LS430!!
If you can help with that info thanks!
Sounds solid

@ worth a shot. Heard good things about J Pipe. Just have to get the pipe length correct.
Hi what is a diameter of the x pipe ?
Still got them forsale?
Aftermarket headlights are a must for this car! Hope they exist.
Please let me know when you find some!
There is a kit for a facelift and you can fit a lc 500 headlight with the L shape light
