No Drone Corsa Pro Series Muffler - 06 Lexus SC430 - First Impressions - Straight Pipe Comparison

- This is my 5th and final attempt at building a perfectly tuned LC500 sounding exhaust for my SC430. First, a muffler delete, then a Megan Twin Loop Muffler to a Megan downpipe/midpipe combo with the Megan twin loop muffler, then a resonator/muffler delete setup, to finally the Corsa Pro Series universal mufflers with Vibrant 1792 resonators. The euphoria I feel when driving almost brings me to tears, haha. Aside a J-Pipe/Helmholtz addition (with exact size calculations), this is the only way to benefit from drone-free silence at cruising speeds yet a loud, refined, high-pitched, throaty V8 sound on heavy acceleration. Lexus got it right with the stock LC500 exhaust but not the SC430. This is how they should’ve tuned the exhaust off the assembly line. Hope this helps someone. Don't believe me? Listen for yourself.
underrated cars man. Love it
Couldn't agree more!
This type of exhaust setup should have come from factory that sounds really nice 👌
Luv the happy ending. “I got my low end torque back” Priceless
I recently acquired a SC430 and it is silky smooth cruising like no other. LC500 will be next and if I win the lottery, Lexus LFA here I come.
amazing sound bro! And beautiful lexus!
A music enjoyer as well!
That sounds great man! I love it!
Glad you found the sound you were looking for. Enjoy
so happy for you, my turn! :P
Did you get this setup as well?
That V8 is purring real nice.
Sounds excellent man. Which corsa mufflers did you use? Offset/offset 2.5”?
This thing sounds good man! I'm selling my Boxster real soon to finally get one of these (I've always wanted an SC430) and I was intending on doing the classic muffler delete and DynoMax Race Bullets, but drone was a big concern with it being a Lexus for me, I want it to be loud but tame at times. I was originally thinking of trying to find a valved exhaust system so it can really be either or, but this setup seems like a really solid option! One question, do you know what size muffler you went with? Was it their 3.0 inch "for v8 muscle"? I've only ever gotten Magnaflow mufflers before but Corsa seems to be solid!
Bullets are only about 6” long so they won’t resonator much sound- haha. Look up SC430 Exhaust Addicts and you can hear the Bullets for yourself. They sound tinny, like a resonator delete setup. 10 -12” resonators is the sweet spot for the throaty V8 sounds.
Valved exhausts are too pricey IMO.
I’ve had Magnaflow on other cars - don’t do it! You’ll be disappointed. Low end drone for sure!
I went with the 2.5” Corsa Universal Muffler “CP2500S” option as the car is 2.25” stock. I promise these are QUIET and LOUD like a factory tuned exhaust.
Thanks for watching!
@@beaunozautozTo achieve this exhaust note, could you please tell me your exhaust set up, did you only use the Corsa universal muffler 2.5 and that's it? Everything else is stock (exhaust pipes, etc)
Getn That setup Tommorow 😎 BMW N20 LIFE 😎 Shit Man..Sounds Bad Ass!!!Luv it..
The Corsa sounded best.
Sounds great! What exhaust tips do you have on the car?
Sounds amazing. Curious: How much did this all cost?
About $250USD for labor, $700 for the parts.
@@beaunozautoz what’s the link for the corsa ones?
This sounds really nice. I was thinking about doing megan mid pipes, vibrant resonators, and borla mufflers.
I’ve had both the Megan downpipe and midpipe on this car. Lots of low end drone. Plus they kept sending me the incorrect flange doughnut gaskets resulting in hissing exhaust leaks at WOT.
@@beaunozautoz maybe I should stick with the stock midpipe then.
Awesome!!
Aftermarket headlights are a must for this car! Hope they exist.
Please let me know when you find some!
There is a kit for a facelift and you can fit a lc 500 headlight with the L shape light

Nice
Seems odd that going from a straight-thru "axle-back" to straight-thru mufflers would make ANY difference in low-end torque. Did you add the x-pipe when you swapped to your last config? (Yeah, x-pipes typically help in higher revs too...though I wouldn't be surprised. (Less so about the addition of an x-pipe -- for sure)
BTW....NICE SOUNDING EXHAUST!!! :-)
Correct, X-Pipes were added in the last config. I feel the addition of mufflers and the x-pipe versus straight pipe is what brought the low-end torque back (butt dyno).
Still got them forsale?
Hi what is a diameter of the x pipe ?
Tell me about those rims
Niche Citrine 20x9, squared setup. 245 35 20 all around.
sounds sick but doesnt suit this car imo
That's why it's kool
But its quiet when you dont want anyone to hear it.
